As our Community Fundraising Officer, you will inspire and support individuals, challenge event participants, regular givers and corporate supporters, ensuring they have an outstanding experience while raising vital funds for our work.

Working closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Influencing, you will develop engaging fundraising campaigns, manage our regular giving programme, The Starfish Club, coordinate challenge events, and create compelling supporter communications. You will also help identify and share powerful impact stories that connect supporters to the difference their fundraising makes.

The role

The Director will lead Jamma Wellbeing from its current stage into a focused, sustainable and scalable organisation.

You will work closely with the Founder and team, while having real responsibility for translating ambition into delivery.

Key priorities will include:

• turning Jamma's strategy into a clear and executable plan;
• developing Brain Smart and its supporting infrastructure into a compelling, partner-ready proposition;
• building and leading high-quality partnerships across primarily education, public services, communities and other relevant sectors;
• establishing a sustainable income model, including licensing, partnerships, grants and public-sector opportunities;
• personally leading important early partner relationships and negotiations;
• building a small, capable team and network of specialist support;
• strengthening the systems required for safeguarding, quality assurance, accreditation, evaluation and reporting;
• creating clear measures of impact and using evidence to determine where Jamma should invest, adapt, expand or stop; and
• representing Jamma credibly with partners, funders, commissioners and other senior stakeholders.

Commercial responsibility is an important part of the role. We want to increase Jamma's reach and impact, but to do so in a way that is financially sustainable and protects the quality, integrity and safety of the programme.

Experience in education, youth, health and wellbeing, charities, social enterprise or public-sector commissioning would be valuable, but we are equally interested in strong leaders from outside the traditional charity sector who are attracted by the opportunity to apply their experience to social impact.

Experience of licensing, accreditation, train-the-trainer or another partner-led scaling model would also be an advantage.

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

About the role

This is an opportunity to join mySociety, a purposeful charity creating digital services that help break down barriers to democratic participation.

The Movement Building Manager is central to KT’s mission, helping drive the legal, policy, and social change needed to advance LGBTI+ rights by strengthening partners’ capacity, supporting their advocacy, and building long-term movement impact.

The role oversees KT’s major grant-funded programmes from start to finish. Through direct delivery and coordination across KT, they ensure that each grant meets its objectives, is delivered on time and within budget, is compliant with regulations and requirements, including reporting, is risk-managed, and contributes to KT’s wider movement-building strategy.

This role is an opportunity to support LGBTI+ organisations at a critical moment globally, providing the longer-term funding, partnership, and capacity support needed to drive legal, policy, and social change in their own contexts.

The Movement Building Manager will be the lead responsible for the delivery, donor compliance, and accountability of part of our programmatic work. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key parts of the grants directly (such as grant-making and capacity strengthening support), build connections and relationships with grantee partners, and will support coordinated delivery across KT by bringing together colleagues and functions to meet programme objectives and donor requirements.

Contract type: Fixed-term maternity cover (up to 12 months). The successful candidate will be employed until the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave. While the expected duration is up to 12 months, the contract may end earlier if the postholder returns sooner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the delivery of a major governmental/institutional grant to agreed standards and timelines, including capacity strengthening and grant-making and coordination of grant-linked workplans, outputs, and timelines across the organisation.

• Ensuring and coordinating full compliance with donor requirements, including narrative and financial reporting, safeguarding, due diligence, monitoring, and financial accountability, and supporting other teams to meet the same.

• Managing partner relationships and supporting organisations through long-term accompaniment, capacity strengthening, and strategic movement support.

• Efficient stakeholder management, maintaining close communication and coordination with the donor, partners, consultants and service providers, and/or any other external stakeholder related to the grant.

• Overseeing grant-making processes, including due diligence, contracting, sub-grant management, partner monitoring and support (including review and improvement of their reporting), and compliance.

• Working closely with finance colleagues to manage programme budgets, forecasting, donor financial reporting, and operational delivery processes.

• Identifying and managing delivery risks across programmes, including safeguarding responsibilities and partner security considerations in sensitive contexts.

• Supporting shared learning across programmes, including capturing insights from partner work, and contributing to organisational impact assessment and development of new capacity strengthening products and approaches. 

• Contributing to intel monitoring and understanding of movement needs and anti-rights dynamics. 

• Coordinating with other KT teams to ensure programme delivery is joined-up, realistic, and aligned with organisational priorities. 

• Working closely with the Head of Movement Building to ensure coherence across the grant portfolio, clear prioritisation, and sustainable workload planning. 

• Contributing to a collaborative and sustainable team culture, supporting shared planning and realistic workload management across the Movement Building Team. 

• Collaborating with TCEN members, where KT grant delivery intersects with network activity, while maintaining clear governance boundaries and recognising TCEN’s distinct member-led accountability. 

Person Specification:

Essential

• Experience managing grant-funded programmes in the Global South and East, including delivery, compliance, safeguarding, and reporting. 

• Strong understanding of donor requirements and accountability, including financial oversight and risk management. 

• Experience working with civil society partners in the Global South and East, building trusted relationships and providing long-term support. 

• Experience of grant-making processes, including due diligence, contracting, sub-grant management, and partner monitoring. 

• Ability to coordinate delivery across colleagues and teams, ensuring programmes are delivered effectively and realistically. 

• Strong organisational and communication skills, including clear writing for donor audiences. 

• Commitment to LGBTI+ rights and an understanding of the challenges facing movements globally, including the anti-rights environment. 

Desirable

• Experience working with institutional donors such as FCDO, DFAT, or similar. 

• Experience delivering capacity strengthening alongside grant-making. 

• Familiarity with movement-building or network-based approaches, including work alongside member-led structures such as TCEN.

About you

To succeed, you’ll need proven relevant experience that includes managing major updates and the replacement or commissioning of new services. You’ll also need to have worked deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure hosted Windows and ideally Linux servers and Entra ID administration. An awareness and understanding of best working practice around information and technology security is important too, while it goes without saying that you have great problem-solving skills. Comfortable working both as part of team and independently, it’s anticipated that some tasks may fall outside of your prior experience, so you’ll also need to be keen to learn and develop. The ideal candidate should have practicable knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies including the configuration and troubleshooting of switches using GUI and Command line interfaces. Consultant opportunity: developing our long-term vision and strategy

Now in its 75th anniversary year, World Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced consultant(s) to co-ordinate the development of its Physio 2040 long-term aspirational vision and a five-year strategic plan (2027-32) that operationalises it.

This is a two-part but interlinked assignment.  Working closely with World Physiotherapy’s member organisations, global leadership, key stakeholders and staff, the successful consultant(s) will deliver an inclusive, evidence-based horizon-scanning and strategy development process, ensuring that our 2040 vision statement and strategic plan are completed ahead of the World Physiotherapy Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico in May 2027.
