Child Bereavement UK is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role will play a vital part in helping Child Bereavement UK turn up the dial across our Regional Fundraising team.

The Head of Regional Fundraising is responsible for overseeing our team of Regional Fundraising Managers and Challenge Events team to maximise income from community groups and associations, businesses and individuals as well as leading the growth and diversity of the challenge events portfolio.

Alongside leading the regional team, you will also be the main point of contact for our team of Community Ambassador Volunteers. You will work with them to keep them engaged, inspired and active with great training, communication, and by providing them with the tools, materials and resources they need to fulfil their roles across the country. 

You will develop outstanding supporter relationships and delivering long-term sustainable income through innovative, audience led fundraising. 

Main Responsibilities

Leadership 

· To lead and inspire the Regional Fundraising team fostering a collaborative and high performing culture that delivers against income and objectives 

· Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles 

· Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports 

Regional Fundraising 

· Grow sustainable income by inspiring individuals, groups, schools, businesses and volunteers to support our work

· Lead on the strategy and development of Fundraising Committees across the country

· Develop case for support information and tools for effective ways of working, including approval processes

· Work with the Director of Income Generation to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones 

· Oversee the development of supporter journeys and stewardship of all Regional audiences and key community relationships to maximise retention and ensure long-term income growth

· Identify and develop new income generating opportunities across Regional Fundraising 

· Ensure that we provide an excellent supporter experience to all our supporters, regardless of value 

· Proactively manage all aspects of Regional Fundraising to increase our supporter base and maximise income 

· Coach, train and inspire your colleagues across the organisation on the importance of excellent supporter care.

The small, highly motivated team works to influence legislators (national and devolved governments), professional organisations and corporates. The team has successfully influenced the law on microchipping, pet theft and commercial kitten sales in England and worked with the Scottish Government to regulate cat breeding and rehoming activities. The team also runs digital campaigns as part of its strategy. 

What we’re looking for in our Advocacy & Government Relations Officer - Westminster: 

- Experience of advocacy, public affairs or influencing work, ideally in Westminster

The Survivor Support Fund ("the Fund") has been established by the Archbishops' Council to provide short to medium-term support to people who have experienced Church of England-related abuse and who are facing an urgent and immediate need for assistance as a result.

Funding decisions are made by an independent panel drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including professionals and those with lived experience of abuse, and chaired by a person independent from the Church. We are now seeking to establish this panel.
The Fund has three priorities: signposting to statutory agencies, local resources and relevant charities; grant for therapeutic support; and grant for basic needs.
The Fund will be easy to access, and aspects of the design of the Fund were co-produced with victims and survivors. Based on findings from consultation and co-production, the Archbishops' Council approved a Terms of Reference that set out the criteria and parameters of the Fund. Panel decisions will be regularly reviewed to ensure fairness and equity in all applications.
Panels are held as often as needed - it is anticipated that this will be fortnightly. With a pool of panel members, frequency of meetings will vary on volume of applications, and it is anticipated panel members will attend a meeting every one to two months. The Panel meetings will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
Decision Panel meetings are expected to last up to about an hour and a half, depending on the number and complexity of discussions required. Panel members are required to review panel papers before meetings.
Panel members will be supported by the two Panel Secretaries to the Fund (staff members of the National Safeguarding Team).
Panel members can come from backgrounds of different faiths or no faith.

Remuneration
This role is a working role as a contractor and consultant. This is not a voluntary role or a typical survivor participation opportunity.
Panel members (professionals and people with lived experiences) will be paid £125 per panel, including preparation, meeting time and any correspondence after meetings. The contract will be for three years.
Panel members will invoice the Archbishops' Council on a monthly basis and be responsible for their own tax arrangements.

A note on data protection
As an organisation, we have to comply with data protection law. Under such laws you will be a data processor on behalf of the Archbishops' Council, and we will be sharing sensitive and confidential data with you as panel member.
The role of data processor comes with responsibilities and obligation which you must accept if you wish to act as panel members. For example, you cannot use, share or alter information shared with you for the purpose other than your role as a panel member of the Fund. This is to protect panel members as well as the applicants who come to the Fund. We will provide mandatory training to ensure panel members understand their responsibilities.

Panel members will be required to complete a Basic DBS check and provide two references. These processes must be completed ahead of their first panel.
You will be offered a contract, and you will need to sign a data processing agreement.
Panel members will also be required to undertake mandatory training, including:
- Church of England National Safeguarding Basic Awareness training (1 hour and 15 minutes)
- GDPR(UK) training (40 minutes), and
- an online training day to meet other panel members, to familiarise themselves with the Terms of Reference and other important matters, on Thursday, 10 September (10am to 4pm).

This role will join an ambitious programme developing the capacity of the Libraries Connected public library networks. We want to help them evolve as strategic partnerships able to deliver social impacts at scale and to secure resources and investment from national, regional and sub-regional government. Be key to the development of libraries as essential social infrastructure, and help them secure the resources they need to make an impact. 

The role is part of a small team of two Regional Managers, supported by an Administrator. 

By developing our existing regional networks into formal, resourced structures we can enable the regions to: 

• Secure investment for the service and for the libraries from regional and devolved / combined authority funds.
• Create unique regional offers to meet specific needs across and within the regional areas.
• Deliver at scale. For example, the Yorkshire & Humber regional network has 15 library services, and 348 library buildings. 
• Create opportunities for cost saving – through joint procurement and shared / collaborative services. 
• Share good practice and experience on a formal and integrated basis. 

We have 9 regional networks in England, covering all library services and ranging in size from 9 to 33 services. Within each region they provide hundreds of library branches, thousands of staff, and serve millions of service users.  They have a long tradition of working together as peer support networks and to deliver activities such as festivals, marketing, and staff training.

Job summary

This role will predominantly support the Service Delivery Managers and Support Officer across the UK in the effective planning and delivery of wheelchair skills training to meet the strategic objectives. The postholder will be required to work directly with young people and their families, schools, colleagues, partner organisations and professionals, delivering accredited training across the UK.

You will be part of the Young People’s Services Team who provide a range of services and activities for young wheelchair users and their families. You will have a friendly and professional approach to working with families and professionals and be highly organised to manage planning, delivery and relevant paperwork for all wheelchair skills services. 

Key accountabilities

• Coordination and delivery of wheelchair skills training, travel training and train the trainer across the UK.
• Conduct on site visits prior to delivery of travel training to plan routes and inform risk assessments.
• Book relevant modes of transport for travel training sessions.
• Writing Service Level Agreements for key partners; content providers and schools.
• Obtaining information from content providers and schools, such as Public Liability, DBS and key Risk Assessments.
• Writing Care Plans & Risk Assessments.
• Ensure schools complete paperwork for accredited services and liaise with Skills & Education group regarding learners
• Sending event invites to young people and families and updating the database as required.
• Updating all documentation for events and participants onto the database.

Working alongside and reporting to the HRC Manager, you will coordinate the planning and delivery of healthcare professional conferences, patient education events, our programmes, awareness campaigns and digital programmes across the UK and internationally.

You will provide day-to-day project coordination and administrative support to ensure programmes and events are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.

Event & Programme Coordination

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences, meetings, webinars, exhibitions and events.

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position with the working week consisting of Monday to Thursday 9.00am–5.30pm with 1 hour lunch break, and Friday 9.00am-5.00pm with

30-minute lunch break.
