Senior Grants Partnerships Manager
Salary: £45,200 – £50,500 per annum, including London weighting where applicable, dependent on experience
Location: Fully flexible, with occasional travel to our Salisbury or London office, plus national and international travel as required (up to 10–20% of working time)
Working pattern: 30–37.5 hours per week, with flexible and home working arrangements. Permanent contract.
Hope and Homes for Children is looking for an ambitious, relationship-driven fundraiser to lead high-value global partnerships and help millions of separated children get back to family. We have a compelling proposition; we're looking for someone with a compelling track record in generating trusts and foundations income.
About the role
As our Senior Grants Partnerships Manager, you'll own a portfolio of up to ten large trusts, foundations and institutional funders at six and seven figure level, deepening existing relationships while opening up new ones across North America, the Gulf States, East Asia, Northern Europe and the UK.
Working closely alongside our Programmes and Advocacy colleagues, and sitting within the Programmes team so you're close to the work itself, you'll research and win new donors, shape compelling proposals and steward the relationships that follow. You'll also lead on assigned institutional funding relationships, contribute to our income growth strategy and help position HHC as the partner of choice for those investing in child rights and social care reform globally.
It's a role with real ownership, and your contribution will go straight to what matters most: helping millions of separated children get back to family.
What you'll bring
You'll have a proven track record of securing five, six and seven figure grants from large foundations, trusts and institutional donors. You'll be able to write and develop high-quality proposals and manage complex budgets. Your relationship management skills will be exceptional, and you'll know how to convey HHC's mission compellingly to a wide range of senior audiences.
You'll be collaborative and culturally empathetic, comfortable working across teams, and equally at ease leading face-to-face cultivation as you are driving prospect research and pipeline development. Most importantly, you'll share our conviction that every child belongs in a family, and understand that every partnership you build and every proposal you win brings us closer to consigning orphanages to history.
About Hope and Homes for Children
Orphanages don't protect children, they harm them. The last thing an orphanage can provide is the first thing a child needs: someone to love them. Decades of evidence shows that the bond between a child and their family is vital for their development, and that orphanages subject children to high levels of abuse and neglect.
Today, over 5.4 million children are confined to orphanages worldwide, and more than 80% of them are not orphans at all. Children belong in families. They need protection, encouragement, play, laughter and love: somewhere to call home and someone to love them. You can help us make this a reality for children.

Join Wings for Life and take the lead in shaping one of the most exciting and impactful event portfolios in the charity sector. You will drive the strategy, growth and delivery of a diverse programme of premium fundraising events, mass participation experiences and high-profile partnerships that inspire supporters, engage world-class brands and generate vital funds to find a cure for spinal cord injury.
Your portfolio will span exclusive owned fundraising events such as Mikey's Mountain Miles, our skiing fundraiser with Mike Tindal MBE; The Clay Day, a premium sporting and hospitality experience with our Formula 1 partners; and two established golf events, including an owned event, Gourmet Golf, and a supporter-led initiative. As a manager, you will lead and develop our Event & Fundraising Specialist, providing coaching, support and professional development while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture. You will also play an active role in supporting our individual fundraising programme and championing a 'one team' approach across the organisation.
Success in this role will require strong commercial awareness, budget management expertise and the confidence to negotiate, influence and present to senior stakeholders, partners and Board members. You will be adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a relentless focus on delivering outstanding supporter experiences and maximising return on investment.
Experience working with premium brands, VIP audiences, luxury hospitality or high-end events would be advantageous, as would a passion for identifying new opportunities, creating innovative event concepts and challenging conventional thinking. Above all, you will be a solutions-focused self-starter with exceptional relationship-building skills, a genuine passion for our mission and the drive to help Wings for Life achieve extraordinary impact.
We value experience, talent and results over formal qualifications. If you have the vision, energy and expertise to grow one of the most exciting event portfolios in the charity sector, we'd love to hear from you.

As a result, many experience complex trauma, institutionalisation and significant challenges associated with release and reintegration.
Our work is grounded in the belief that those affected by miscarriages of justice deserve not only to have their convictions overturned, but to be supported with dignity, continuity, and recognition as they rebuild their lives. We offer long-term, person-centred, trauma-informed support tailored to the needs of each individual.

The two Caseworkers are based at our offices within the Royal Courts of Justice in London. The team meet clients in person initially, to build a relationship, which will involve travel across England and Wales. Once a relationship has been established, typically we then communicate via telephone and online, but people may still need in-person support e.g. attending appointments with them.
Ideally the post-holder would come into the office at least several times a month to build and maintain an excellent working relationship with the Caseworkers, giving the option to work at other times from home or to travel. Travel for this role will vary according to the needs of each client, but we expect this to be round once a fortnight. All travel expenses will be paid by RCJ Advice.

Background
Leatherhead Community Hub (LCH) has employed a Community Development/Engagement Worker since 2022, building relationships with local residents and listening to people’s concerns and hopes for North Leatherhead. This has led to the development of a number of successful community-led activities, including our weekly non-contact boxing and football training sessions for children and young people. Our community development work is particularly focused on “growing capability”, recognising the importance of focusing time and energy into listening, encouraging and empowering others, and offering opportunities for local residents to get involved through volunteering, training, and working with us.
LCH is always seeking to be shaped by the desires and needs that arise within the community, by bringing people’s ideas into action and giving residents a voice in decisions affecting the local area. As a charity, we are also working towards residents being involved in every aspect of the governance of LCH, whether as trustees or on the management and operations teams.
Context
North Leatherhead is in the top 10% most deprived neighbourhoods in Surrey, with relatively high rates of poverty, economic inactivity, poor physical and mental health, and social isolation; all these issues have been exacerbated by the lack of community provision and damaging impact of the closure of the children’s centre and other community buildings in recent years.
Leatherhead Community Hub (LCH) was set up in July 2020 as a dedicated community centre in North Leatherhead. LCH provides opportunities for people to come together socially and build community, as well as giving our partner organisations a permanent base from which to offer critical support to local residents. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space at the heart of the community, where people of all ages can connect, learn, have fun, and find the support they need to thrive. The Hub attracts around 3,500 visitors a month to our affordable café and the many other community activities run by LCH and other community groups.
Description of role:
We are looking for someone who is capable of running community projects, but who is keen to involve others and gains most joy and satisfaction from developing leaders and volunteers from within the local community and seeing them grow and succeed in their roles.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging and empowering the residents of North Leatherhead to facilitate positive change for the local community, by:
1) overseeing existing community projects, and encouraging the involvement of local residents in supporting, running, and leading these projects;
2) equipping local residents with the skills and confidence to initiate and run new community-led events and activities;
3) facilitating and growing our Residents’ Panel to play a key role in the governance and running of LCH, with a view to appointing several trustees from the local community.
4) promoting dialogue and collaboration between local residents and service providers, enabling people to have a greater say in decisions affecting the community;
5) supporting the management team and trustees in prioritising LCH’s resources to best serving the desires and needs of the local community.
6) subject to experience, we would also like the postholder to help with, or lead on, our social media alongside volunteers from the local community - although this is not an essential requirement for this role.
You will be employed by Leatherhead Community Hub, using the Hub as a base for networking, capacity-building, and community-led activities, whilst also reaching out and making connections with other sections of the local community. This role will require you to have a regular presence at LCH and in the wider community.
You will work closely with local service providers and other community organisations, including the council, housing association, and GP practices, as well as LCH’s core partners: Citizens Advice Mole Valley, EDGE Disability, Good Company Surrey (Foodbank), Link 2030, Mid-Surrey Community Fridges, The Gathering Church, and The Hive (a creative arts project). You will help promote a collaborative and participatory approach to supporting the community, seeking to ensure that local residents are directly engaged in initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of the North Leatherhead community.
You will be member of LCH’s Management Team, and line managed by the Managing Director, Tom Sefton, with advice & support from one of our Trustees and Co-Founders, Jenny Moore, who has worked in this community for over 20 years.
This role is partly funded by a multi-year grant from the National Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund, which includes a number of specific objectives which you will be responsible for delivering, including: growing our youth sports projects, supporting more community-led activities, establishing our Residents’ Panel; and increasing local representation on our Board of Trustees.
Requirements of the postholder:
Essential:
· Excellent listening skills – friendly and approachable, with the ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds and make them feel supported and valued.
· A proven ability and desire to motivate and support people to use and develop their strengths and skills for the benefit of the wider community.
· Good networking skills and experience of working well with other organisations to achieve positive change for the community.
· Experience of volunteering and/or working in a range of community settings.
· Strong organisational and time management skills, and good IT skills.
· A positive and creative approach to work – able to handle new or competing demands and work on own initiative without close supervision.
· A willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend meetings and events.
· A firm commitment to the vision, mission and values of LCH.
Desirable:
· Previous experience of working as a community development worker or similar role.
· An understanding of the principles of asset-based community development and/or other participatory approaches to community development.
· Experience of training and supporting volunteers.
· Demonstrable experience in developing and running community-led events and activities, in a voluntary or paid capacity.
· Experience using social media to raise awareness, engage local communities, and promote activities or events.
· Experience of living, working and/or volunteering in the local area.
