Overview of Role:

The Operational Support Worker plays a vital role in enabling the team to offer compassionate, Christ centred support to vulnerable women. As the project has seen growth over the last few years, in response to rising demand, this role will play a key part in shaping and establishing the administrative systems, processes and procedures we’ve not yet had the capacity to formalise—ideal for someone who is energised by building structure, improving practice, and being part of creating solutions rather than stepping into a readymade setup. By carrying out the administrative, organisational, and practical tasks that keep the project running smoothly, they will help free frontline staff and evangelists to focus on building relationships, offering pastoral care, and walking alongside women in their daily challenges.

Salary: £24,570 per Annum (FTE)

Hours:37.5  per week

In this role, you will:

• deliver high quality Peer Mediation Train the Trainer courses for adults

About the role 

Sightsavers are looking to recruit an experienced Project Finance Officer to join their finance team in Zambia to support a specific project. This role manages day to day financial operations, donor compliance and partner oversight to ensure alignment with programme objectives.

Responsibilities

The Project Finance Officer in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will continually ensure quality and consistency of project financial management and controls. The post-holder is responsible for donor budget management with quarterly reporting, financial planning, budget tracking, financial monitoring and maintenance of the project asset register. They will prepare and consolidate the monthly invoice and expense projection; analyse differences between the projections and actual spending and submit adjustments as required. The Project Finance Officer will support procurement needs and source quotations whilst adhering to donor rules, following the projects ‘value for money’ strategies.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within international development with a background in managing grants and contracts from institutional donors and Foundations and experience in financial review and compliance for public institutions and OPDs.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?     

This role, open to female applicants only under Section 7(2) (b & e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975, involves delivering advocacy and intensive support services to all genders and non-binary survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those experiencing harmful practices. The post holder will work across hospital, healthcare, and community settings, acting as a single point of access for survivors at all risk levels. Key responsibilities include conducting DASH risk assessments, developing individual safety and support plans, providing crisis intervention, and ensuring high-risk survivors are represented through the MARAC process. The role also requires close collaboration with healthcare professionals, supporting them in managing disclosures, and ensuring survivors are connected to legal, housing, and welfare support as needed.

The advocate will play a vital role in improving outcomes for survivors, aiming to increase their safety, confidence, and quality of life. They will develop and review person-centred support plans, make safeguarding referrals, and attend relevant forums and committees. Accurate case recording, participation in supervision and training, and engagement in service co-production with survivors are essential components of the role. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. 

In this role, as a Night Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

 Responsibilities include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis

About the role

• To work closely with the team and deliver a high quality accurate and confidential administrative process from recruitment throughout the employee journey at Herts Mind Network.
• Undertake general HR tasks as required and appropriate to the role including responding promptly to internal/external e-mails and completing other general administrative duties accurately and efficiently as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all employee job changes and ensure the timely preparation and issue of updated contracts, letters and other HR documentation.

• To respond to Subject Access Requests in relation to employee SARs.
• Promoting communication about EAP, Cash plan and other benefits that may be available from time to time 
• To work with the HR team to maintain the quality standards system for all groups in line with National Mind Policy and ISO9001

HR Systems and Data

• Monitoring the Breathe HR System, ensuring employee profiles are up to date, including personal data, annual leave entitlement and job changes.
• Creating profiles for new employees on Breathe and ensuring the dashboard is up to date for all employees.
• Responding to queries regarding annual leave and absence, reporting and calculating allowances as required. 
• Maintain our online E-learning resource (iHasco) ensuring new starters are onboarded and leavers are offboarded promptly. Complete monthly reporting on mandatory training for each directorate.
• Maintain our Cash Plan and EAP system to ensure new starters are added and leavers are offboarded.
• Ensure that Breathe is up to date and to be able to produce accurate and timely reports that aid decision making within HMN.
• Administrating and prompting line managers to complete the probation process and escalate if there are any performance feedback to the Senior Co-ordinator.
• Complete probation communications to ensure the documents are completed and up to date on Breathe and communications to employee, payroll and cash plan provider is accurate, prompt and up to date. 
• Compile accurately information from HR systems and timesheets received each month for submission to payroll for processing.
• To collate and analyse employee data on a quarterly basis to produce accurate reports and visual tables for the Board.
• Update the HMN Organisational Chart and publish monthly intranet announcements on new starters and leavers.

About the Role

Emerging Leaders is seeking freelance Trainers in and around Sheffield / Manchester / Blackpool / Nottingham / Liverpool / Birmingham to deliver “Game Plan”, a transformational four-session training programme designed to equip individuals with the mindset, motivation, and practical skills to flourish—even in the midst of adversity.

This role is ideal for people who are already embedded in community settings and have established relationships with adults (18+) who may feel stuck, overlooked, or limited by circumstance, in particular those on universal credit, experiencing or at risk of homelessness, NEETS, those struggling with confidence and well-being, or experiencing food insecurity.

Our vision is to see the training delivered across the UK. We’re looking for trainers who can run the programme regularly within their local network, area or region, building trust, momentum, and impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Emerging Leaders Trainer, you will:

• Deliver the “Game Plan” course, maintaining the quality, integrity and consistency of training delivery.
