2. Purpose of the Role

The Senior Programmes Officer (Maternity Cover) is responsible for supporting the effective coordination, delivery, and development of a multi-country humanitarian programme portfolio. The role ensures continuity of programme implementation during the maternity cover period by maintaining strong partner relationships, overseeing programme progress, and supporting high-quality proposal development and reporting.

The post holder will act as a key focal point for communication with implementing partners and internal teams, ensuring that programme activities remain on track, compliant, and responsive to evolving needs. 4. Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities

Programme Coordination and Partner Management

• Maintain regular communication with implementing partners across multiple countries
• Coordinate programme activities to ensure timely and effective delivery
• Support negotiation and alignment with field teams and partners on implementation priorities
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders

Proposal Development, Business Development and Donor Engagement

• Lead the development of project proposals, concept notes, and budgets
• Contribute to business development efforts, including drafting marketing materials and supporting donor engagement
• Develop marketing and programme-related materials to support fundraising and visibility
• Build and maintain relationships with donors and external stakeholders

Programme Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance

• Review narrative and financial reports from partners for quality and accuracy
• Track programme deliverables, milestones, and deadlines across projects
• Maintain programme trackers, dashboards, and internal monitoring tools
• Liaise with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) teams to support programme tracking and learning
• Ensure documentation and data are organised, accurate, and up to date

Financial Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the finance team on budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking
• Review partner budgets and support financial planning processes
• Ensure alignment between programme delivery and financial requirements

Design, Communications and Knowledge Products

• Develop visual and written materials including presentations, one-pagers, capability statements, and reports
• Support media and communications outputs using design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Contribute to internal and external communications materials to enhance programme visibility
• Support media-related activities, including content development and basic media training where required

Capacity Building and Team Support

• Provide training and guidance to implementing partners on project requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Develop and refine internal documents such as SOPs and guidance materials
• Support onboarding, training, and supervision of interns
• Provide support to colleagues across programme activities as required

Systems, Learning and Operational Support

• Maintain and update programme databases and information systems
• Support feedback collection processes, including surveys and learning inputs
• Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement across programmes
• Participate in calls across multiple time zones and undertake occasional travel as required

Procurement and supply chain support

• Support review of procurement requests, specifications, delivery schedules, and procurement documentation for completeness before onward processing.
• Track status of procurement packages, purchase actions, vendor communications, and delivery milestones and flag bottlenecks for management attention.
• Coordinate with the Operations and Logistics Officer in the field on shipment status, local sourcing issues, warehousing constraints, and asset receipt confirmation.

Operational risk management

• Identify operational bottlenecks relating to procurement timing, delivery sequencing, documentation gaps, or service support readiness.
• Provide timely updates to the Programmes Manager on issues requiring escalation or re-prioritisation.

5. Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent experience in international development, humanitarian studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project management, or humanitarian/development settings
• Proven experience in proposal development, including budget preparation
• Strong experience working with implementing partners and managing multi-country programmes
• Experience reviewing narrative and financial reports and ensuring donor compliance
• Familiarity with working alongside finance and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) teams

6. Core Competencies

• Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English required; Arabic is desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience developing presentations, reports, and programme materials

About the Role

Cord’s turnover is about £2.3M a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and governments, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.

In 2026, Cord is registered in the UK and has offices in five other countries and programme activities in a further seven countries.

Cord has a range of finance systems, procedures and reporting practices to meet the needs of our operations in each location. Our finance function facilitates operations across the organisation to ensure there is good financial management, effective financial control, and compliance as well as a culture of support and learning.

This role is responsible for bookkeeping for Cord’s UK operation. The organisation’s income is received directly to the UK, the UK expenditure (£700K) and the organisation’s main treasury management is within the UK. The UK Finance Officer processes the monthly payroll for the UK (11ppl) and international staff (8ppl), processes international payments and fund transfers. The role also supports to the Finance Manager to implement the Finance Workplan and it produces a range of reports that support the effective financial management of the organisation. 

This role would suit someone with experience of working in finance within a charity, who is motivated by the work that Cord does and is interested in undertaking a long-term role. You will need an organised approach to your work, with the ability to diligently complete routine functions independently, whilst also being sufficiently flexible and able to respond to immediate tasks as they arise. You will have a drive for continual improvement of the organisation’s systems and processes, with a view improve efficiency and adapt to changing technological developments and compliance regulations.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Employee Relations and Union Services in the CSP as a full time Senior Negotiating Officer (SNO) for the West Midlands region. This is a challenging, but very enjoyable role which will see you: 

• Supporting, advising and training the network of stewards, safety representatives and equality representatives in the West Midlands region. 
• Advising and supporting stewards to manage their own casework, whilst managing your own caseload of employment relations issues, including but not limited to dicisplinaries, grievances, sickness absence, HCPC and legal cases. 
• Attending and representing the CSP at strategic regional forums such as regional Social Partnership Forum’s and Integrated Care Board’s/Integrated Care System’s.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity to be on the front line of human rights research and advocacy, joining a specialist organisation with a long track record in promoting the right to freedom of religion or belief (FoRB).

You will undertake research, investigations, monitoring, report-writing and advocacy on freedom of religion and human rights in Asia. You will develop a good relationship with stakeholders and ensure effective and creative ways to advance the research and advocacy on Asia.

Key responsibilities (full responsibilities listed in the application pack):

• To plan, organise and undertake research, monitoring and reporting on freedom of religion or belief and related human rights issues in the Asia region, through regular fact-finding assignments when and where security conditions allow, briefings with key stakeholders and the development of reliable in-country and external partnerships and collaboration.
• To produce materials, including general and thematic briefings and in-depth reports, documenting and analysing the situation of freedom of religion or belief and human rights in Asia, as well as advocacy recommendations.
• To develop and implement, with oversight from the Asia Team Leader, a practical, effective and innovative advocacy strategy for Asia, taking into account global geopolitics.
• To undertake awareness raising initiatives and advocacy focused on local (when possible), regional and international levels, and in consultation with the Asia Team Leader, work with CSW’s External Affairs Team to inform advocacy initiatives in the UK, EU, US, the United Nations, and with other governments and forums.
• To organise, as appropriate, advocacy visits for delegations in relation to the Asia region.

The Person

A committed Christian with a university degree and a strong commitment to human rights and justice, you will be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Manderin), have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to take the initiative and to work well under pressure.

The National Association of Special Schools (NASS) is the membership association for special schools in England and Wales. We bring together independent special schools, non-maintained special schools, special academies, maintained special schools and multi-academy trusts with specialist provision.

Baby banks are community-led organisations that provide essential items such as clothing, nappies and equipment to families with young children experiencing poverty or crisis. They operate in diverse ways and often offer support and signposting in addition to the material goods, reflecting the needs of their local communities. Baby banks have grown rapidly over the past decade in response to rising levels of need. However, this growth has largely been organic and fragmented.

BBA exists to support, unite and advocate for baby banks: strengthening collective impact, unlocking national opportunities, and helping a fast-growing and diverse movement operate with greater voice, reach and resilience.

The Baby Bank Alliance (BBA) was co-founded by Purposeful Ventures, Save the Children UK, Little Village and the Bristol Baby Bank Network. Since its founding, BBA has built strong national partnerships, secured significant funding and goods for baby banks, and raised the profile of the sector through national media and corporate partnerships (including with organisations such as IKEA).

Currently incubated by Purposeful Ventures and Save the Children UK, BBA is now moving into its next phase: in Summer 2027 we will become an independent organisation and are on the journey to build the national recognition, scale and sustainability to meet growing need.

BBA continues to work closely with its co-founders and incubating partners, who are expected to remain important collaborators as the organisation transitions to independence.

Job Description

Initially, this role will be employed by Purposeful Ventures. Once BBA becomes independent, the CEO and other members of the BBA team will transfer to direct BBA employment under TUPE. Your terms and conditions of employment will remain unchanged.

About the role

Sitting within the Community & Events Team, and more broadly the Income & Engagement Department, the Community Fundraising Officer plays a vital role in supporting the long-term growth, development, and delivery of Sands’ community fundraising activities.

This is a new role at Sands, and it is an exciting time to join our growing team. This role will support acquisition activity, national campaign delivery and provide outstanding stewardship to fundraisers, community group and Sands groups, maximising their fundraising efforts and strengthening their relationship to Sands. You will also support the development of Sands regional fundraising approach, providing operational and administrative support to the Community Fundraising Manager.

The role is key to enabling the scaling of national community campaigns, enhancing supporter led fundraising activity, delivering high quality supporter stewardship, and supporting the future development of Sands’ emerging regional fundraising model.

Community Fundraising Delivery & Growth

• Working with the Community Fundraising Manager, develop and deliver a community fundraising strategy for both new and existing activities.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience in community development, public health, sport and physical activity, social policy, partnership working or related fields

• Project management, systems leadership or facilitation qualification 

Experience

• Significant experience of leading or coordinating complex partnership programmes, projects or strategic initiatives across multiple organisations and stakeholders 

• Experience of working within partnership, public sector, health, community or system leadership environments 

• Proven ability to build, influence and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, partners and communities 

• Experience of convening organisations and stakeholders around shared priorities, outcomes or strategic agendas

•  Experience of leading or supporting place-based, systems change or collaborative approaches to tackling inequalities 

• Experience of managing complex programmes, interconnected priorities, budgets and delivery plans 

• Experience of monitoring progress, managing risk and reporting to partners, governance groups or funders 

• Experience of amplifying community voice and lived experience to shape strategic priorities, partnership approaches or service design 

Desirable Criteria 

• Experience of working within Active Partnerships, Sport England funded programmes or wider place-based investment programmes

• Strong understanding of the role physical activity, movement and sport can play in improving health, reducing inequalities and strengthening communities 

• Understanding of systems leadership, partnership working and collaborative approaches to change 

• Understanding of inequalities, barriers to participation and the wider social determinants that influence health and wellbeing 

• Understanding of community-centred approaches, co-production and asset-based ways of working 

Desirable Criteria 

• Knowledge of Sport England’s Uniting the Movement strategy and place-based investment approaches 

• Knowledge of local policy, partnership or community landscapes across Coventry 

• Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, insight and learning approaches within community or systems-based programmes 

• Awareness of current national policy relating to prevention, population health or place-based working
