Volunteer Media correspondents (Campaigns) will be leading and supporting Centre for Big Synergy’s (CBS) SDG campaigns and events by capturing and sharing impactful stories and features across its communication channels, reaching millions.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with relevant campaigns or events team leadership and other volunteers of CBS, the Media Correspondents will interview members of public, campaign stakeholders, special guests, celebrities, leaders in policy, business and media , produce high‑quality audio‑visual content, and manage digital publications, helping to strengthen awareness, engagement, and visibility for our organisation’s mission and project outcomes.

Correspondents will play a key role in shaping and sharing the stories behind our sustainability initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working alone or in pairs; introduce campaigns to stakeholders/public, research, plan, compose and execute interviews and features (text, audio, video as applicable) 
• Conducting interviews with project leads, community members, partners, special guests, advisors and beneficiaries; for public events, public engagement, award ceremonies, campaigns
• Recording high‑quality audio and video content in the field (public places) or remotely.
• Editing interviews and project footage into clear, engaging, and professional media outputs.
• Creating compelling written and visual content for social media, newsletters, and other organisational platforms.
• Managing the publication of content across our digital channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with our mission.
• Collaborating with multiple project teams, selecting assignments based on your availability and areas of interest.
• Maintaining organised media archives and ensuring all content adheres to ethical and brand guidelines.

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of three years’ experience in journalism, media production, communications, or a related field.

The Netherton Feelgood Factory exists to support local people. We provide activities, services, and a welcoming space for residents of all ages and backgrounds — but none of that happens without a secure financial foundation. As a small charity, we can't rely on grants and donations alone. Sustainable income from venue hire gives us something equally precious: independence. The freedom to plan ahead, to protect the services people rely on, and to say yes to new ideas. As our Venue Hire & Income Generation Volunteer, you won't just be filling a diary. You'll be helping to future-proof a community asset.

Our organisation provides advice and services to all members of our local community from birth to old age.  We help over 5000 people each year with a variety of health-related or social needs.  Our centre is used as a base for counselling, food distribution, health programmes, children’s activities and social groups.  As funding sources have diminished the demand for our services has increased.  We are actively pursuing other ways to generate income.

We're looking for a volunteer with business, sales, or marketing experience to help us make the most of our fantastic building by hiring it out to local businesses, training providers, clubs, and organisations. Whether you've worked in sales, events, marketing, property, or business development — or simply have a talent for spotting an opportunity and making things happen — we'd love to hear from you.

You'll play a key role in identifying potential hirers, promoting our spaces, and helping us price and package our facilities competitively — all while ensuring the centre's core charitable activities remain protected.

• Identify and approach potential hirers, including local businesses, training providers, clubs, and community organisations
• Develop and maintain a marketing plan to promote the building for hire (e.g. flyers, social media, local business networks, online listings)
• Review and help set competitive, sustainable hire rates for different rooms/spaces and time slots
• Create or improve hire packages (e.g. half-day/full-day rates, regular booking discounts, room set-up options)
• Help develop simple hire agreements, terms and conditions, and invoicing processes (with support from staff/trustees)
• Build relationships with regular or repeat hirers to encourage long-term bookings
• Identify opportunities for new income streams connected to venue hire (e.g. catering add-ons, equipment hire)
• Report progress and income performance to the management team/trustees on a regular basis.

This is a genuinely rewarding role. You'll use your real-world skills to help generate vital income that goes straight back into funding the services our community depends on. You'll have the freedom to be creative — developing hire packages, building relationships with local businesses, and finding new ways to fill our spaces and boost our income.

We provide a platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share their lived experiences, highlight systemic frustrations and offer solutions rooted in culturally trauma-informed care.

The Research Story Scout is responsible for recognising not just individual stories, but also broader story ecosystems, including repeated patterns of lived experience, underrepresented voices, emerging testimonies, and whistleblower disclosures that may not yet have been formally documented or widely circulated.

A key purpose of this role is to convert scattered public information into structured, actionable story leads that can be passed efficiently to the Outreach Team for ethical and appropriate engagement.

The role also ensures that potential stories are identified early, before they become widely saturated or lost in mainstream attention cycles, enabling the organisation to engage responsibly, respectfully, and at the right stage of the individual’s willingness to share.

Ultimately, this role ensures the organisation maintains a consistent flow of credible, relevant, and timely story opportunities by continuously scanning the public landscape and translating discovery into structured, usable intelligence for outreach and engagement.

Story Scouts spend their time locating individuals who have publicly shared their experiences or indicated a willingness to discuss their story.

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork

Cystar

We empower people with PCOS through a personalized digital platform for education, care, and community.

We’re looking for an experienced and results-driven Digital Ad Campaign Manager to help grow the Cystar app through strategic digital advertising.

As an early-stage FemTech startup, we’re looking for someone with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing digital advertising campaigns who can help us reach more people living with PMOS (Previously PCOS). You’ll work closely with the Founder to plan, launch, optimise, and measure advertising campaigns across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google Ads, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

🚀 What You’ll Do

📢 Digital Advertising

• Plan, create, and manage advertising campaigns to promote the Cystar app across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and other digital platforms
• Develop app install, awareness, lead generation, and conversion campaigns
• Research and define audience targeting strategies to maximise campaign performance
• Monitor campaign budgets and recommend how advertising spend should be allocated across platforms

🎯 Campaign Optimisation

• Monitor and optimise campaigns to improve performance and reduce acquisition costs
• Conduct A/B testing on creatives, audiences, messaging, and landing pages
• Identify opportunities to improve campaign efficiency and maximise return on investment
• Recommend new advertising strategies based on campaign insights and industry trends

🎨 Creative Collaboration

• Work closely with the Social Media Content Creator and Social Media Graphic Designer to develop engaging advertising creatives
• Help write compelling ad copy and calls to action
• Ensure advertising assets align with campaign objectives and the Cystar brand

📊 Analytics & Reporting

• Track and report on key campaign metrics, including:
  • App downloads
  • Click-through rate (CTR)
  • Cost per click (CPC)
  • Cost per install (CPI)
  • Cost per acquisition (CPA)
  • Conversion rate
  • Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), where applicable
• Produce regular reports with recommendations to improve future campaigns
• Work with the Product Analytics & Growth Assistant to understand the quality and retention of acquired users

🤝 Collaboration

• Work closely with the Founder to plan and execute advertising campaigns aligned with Cystar’s growth goals
• Collaborate with the Growth Funnel & Automation Assistant to optimise the customer journey after users click an advert
• Support app launches, awareness campaigns, and product initiatives through digital advertising

🌿 We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has 2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, digital advertising, app marketing, or performance marketing
• Has hands-on experience creating and managing advertising campaigns across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and/or TikTok Ads
• Understands audience targeting, campaign optimisation, and A/B testing
• Is confident analysing campaign performance and making data-driven recommendations
• Has experience tracking metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, CPI, conversion rates, and ROAS
• Is organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple campaigns simultaneously
• Has excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Has an interest in digital health, startups, or women’s health
