Treasury and Cash Manager | 12-months | £500 - £600 per day (Inside IR35) | UK - Remote

For a large, complex international organisation which operates in more than 80 currencies with over 80 banking partners in 100+ countries, we're recruiting an Interim Cash, Risk and Treasury Manager. Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, this role will implement all aspects of corporate treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis and investment strategies including cash management, financing and investment activities, risk management, and loss prevention. The interim Treasury Manager will build relationships with banks and will identify ways to improve in-country banking and repatriation of cash, including liquidity, cash forecasting, and debt management.

Main Duties:

• Manage the banking platforms and processes including the European zero balancing cash pool
• Optimise cash-flow and improve cash flow forecasting across the business, optimising investment income and work in partnership with Shared Services, and Country Finance teams
• Support the identification and releasing of trapped cash overseas, working with in-country colleagues and the Tax and Status team as well as Financial Control
• Manage the Foreign Currency liquidity requirements
• Support the development and implementation of Treasury Management Policy and controls
• Support the development and implementation of long-term investment strategy aiming to optimise deposit interest income
• Develop partnerships with banks and financial institutions to ensure all banking arrangements are fit for purpose
• Lead and support change in treasury activities and provide business units with advice on commercial matters

Person Specification:

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or ACT
• Strong experience of treasury management
• Experience of assessing and managing business-related financial risks including FX, interest rates and counterparty risk management

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

As a senior member of Hestia's operations team, your role is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives. You will contribute to the development of Hestia's strategic goals and annual planning processes, translating these into a comprehensive Area Plan that aligns with the organisation's values and aims. Building strong partnerships with voluntary and statutory sector providers is crucial to fostering best practices and a collaborative approach to service planning. Additionally, you will work with internal teams to shape external messaging and influence decision-making at both local and central levels.Effective resource management is a core aspect of the role. Housing management responsibilities include ensuring compliance with operational policies, managing rental income, voids, arrears, and maintenance. You'll liaise with partners on tenancy matters and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Finally, you will maintain strong communication through regular meetings with managers, ensuring alignment and accountability across all areas of responsibility.

Our family women refuge's offer holistic support in order to empower women and their children who have experienced trauma to lead their recovery and gain the skills and confidence to move on safely. The Team Manager is responsible for the operational running and strategic direction of the refuge. Providing line management and leadership to the staff team, leading on contract and compliance and the safety, security and maintenance of the refuge, ensuring that the building aligns with our PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) building standards and rental income is secured. 

The Team Manager plays a central role in ensuring the refuge is a safe, trauma-informed, and welcoming space for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. They promote an inclusive, anti-racist, and feminist approach while upholding Hestia's values of respect, dedication, and collaboration. Core responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day service delivery, ensuring compliance with safeguarding protocols, and facilitating the safe transition of service users. The manager ensures the team delivers high-quality, person-centred support, particularly for individuals with complex or intersectional needs.

In terms of operational and building management, the Team Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of the refuge in line with health and safety and PIPE (Psychologically Informed Physical Environment) standards. This includes managing relationships with landlords and housing teams, authorising repairs, handling rent collection and arrears, and addressing any security concerns. They also oversee the accurate and timely turnaround of vacant units and uphold positive community relations to ensure the refuge remains a secure and respected environment.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse. 

In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem – the perpetrator.  This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change.

The Drive Head of Programmes will play a central role in maintaining strategic oversight of internal operations, including project planning and risk management across workstreams, and partner coordination across the Drive Partnership. This is a senior leadership position providing operational leadership, staff management, and cross-partner coordination to ensure workstreams within the Drive Partnership function effectively, efficiently and in in alignment with the Drive Partnership’s core mission.

The role will report directly to the Drive Director, form part of the Drive Senior Management team and work alongside the Drive Deputy Director and other Senior Leads to embed a high-performing, values-led culture across The Drive Partnership.

About Sister System 

Founded in 2018, Sister System is a charitable organisation and an Open College Network (OCN) approved centre dedicated to empowering girls and young women aged 13-24 affected by the care system.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year fundraising strategy that encompasses diverse income streams, working collaboratively with senior leadership to coordinate efforts and maintain an up-to-date fundraising pipeline.

• Steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, and corporate partners while leading grant applications and proposals for six-figure funding opportunities.

• Strategically position Sister System for statutory funding by identifying government contract opportunities and ensuring the organisation remains competitive for local authority and national funding programmes.

• Oversee critical systems and processes including financial reporting, grant management cycles, board reporting, and line management duties while serving as an external ambassador for the organisation 

• Line manage a small fundraising team

Special Events is an area of growth for the charity, and this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our major donor team and senior volunteers and supporters to develop and deliver an engaging fundraising events programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR

CDMT is the industry body for world-class professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations in the performing arts, and we are a strong advocate on behalf of the sector.

The Director of the CDMT plays a strategic role in performing arts training, education and assessment nationally and manages the staff and resources of an organisation of UK-wide standing. The CDMT is financed primarily by membership subscriptions. As this source of income is restricted, the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a strategic business sense and a successful income-driven record that will enable the CDMT to create, diversify and take full advantage of developing opportunities.

The Director must be able to liaise effectively with all sectors of the dance, drama, music and musical theatre education communities.  They will have wide knowledge and experience of arts education at all stages of development from entry level, through Further/Higher Education to post-graduate level, and will also require an understanding of qualification frameworks in the UK. Knowledge and experience of inspection and self-assessment mechanisms similar to those operated by the Office for Students, Ofsted and Ofqual, is desirable.

The role includes advocacy on behalf of the sector and requires an ability to offer support and advice to professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations as well as informing the thinking of regulators, civil servants and parliamentarians. This demands a high level of tact, diplomacy, professional understanding and tenacity as well as intellectual rigour and integrity.
