We have just launched an ambitious five-year strategy, alongside a bespoke Behaviour Change/Engagement Framework and a new Measurement System designed to help us understand and demonstrate the impact we are having. The Opportunity

This is a newly created, senior contract role at an exciting inflection point for CALM. We are building the analytics foundations that will underpin our long-term growth and impact.
 

You will help us embed our new Behaviour Change Framework and Measurement System into practice. And also help strengthen the organisation’s analytics maturity, ensuring our Azure data warehouse and Power BI reporting capabilities are fully utilised and embedded into decision-making.

This is a senior role, but it is also highly hands-on. We are a small organisation and are looking for someone who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, building frameworks, improving infrastructure, and directly delivering analytical work.

Key Responsibilities

Embedding Our Behaviour Change Framework & Measurement System

• Help us put our newly launched Behaviour Change Framework and Measurement System into practice across the organisation

• Support the setting of baselines and targets for our five-year OKRs, and define the year-to-year milestones that will track our progress

• Audit the data we already hold, identify the gaps, and develop new data collection methods where needed

• Design how we report, review, and evaluate against the framework

• Create practical guidelines and clear rules for using the framework and associated survey questions

Building Our Analytics Infrastructure

• Take ownership of our Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse and Power BI environment, and drive meaningful adoption across the organisation

• Build and mature our data pipelines so that all key data sits in one place and is reliable, consistent, and usable

• Oversee the development of scalable data models, reporting structures and analytics processes that provide clear actions

• Deliver high-quality, actionable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that support decision-making at every level

• Work with external data engineering consultancies where appropriate to accelerate delivery

Setting Us Up for Long-Term Success

• Establish the data and analytics foundations that will support CALM's growth and scale 

• Create sustainable processes, documentation and ways of working that ensure capability and knowledge remain embedded beyond the life of the role

• Develop a practical forward-looking plan for data and analytics at CALM

• Champion data literacy across the organisation, building confidence and capability in the teams around you

Leading & Collaborating

• Lead and manage our Data Analyst, who will report directly into this role.

• Work closely and collaboratively with our Senior Insight Manager to ensure strong alignment between our Insight and Analytics functions

• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders including the CEO, COO and Senior Leadership

Experience

Essential

• Proven experience in a senior data or analytics role, with hands-on delivery experience

• Good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and analytics best practices

• Strong technical skills across data modelling, SQL, Power BI and modern data platforms

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure)

• Practical experience building and maturing analytics capabilities in a growing organisation

• Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPIs and performance measurement approaches

• Knowledge of web analytics tools such as GA4 and CRMs e.g. Salesforce

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A highly organised and structured approach, with strong attention to documentation and process design

• A collaborative working style and the ability to build strong relationships across a small, mission-driven team

• Experience managing and mentoring junior analysts

• A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively and focus on impact

Desirable

• Previous data engineering experience

Key responsibilities

Public Affairs support

• Produce briefings and speaking notes for UK Youth leadership and trustees relating to important policy issues and external events.

• Manage relationships with politicians, civil servants, and staff in local authorities and regulatory bodies to brief them on matters relating to UK Youth’s policy objectives.

• Identify opportunities for UK Youth to publicly intervene on key policy priorities – including responses to government consultations, speaking at events, meeting with key influencers, etc.

• Work with colleagues across the Impact Function to understand trends and innovations in the youth and outdoor learning sectors that have implications for policy.

• Ensure that there is a clear record of UK Youth’s policy positions on key issues, along with rationale and suggested messaging.

• Contribute to external-facing policy reports and briefings on topics relating to UK Youth’s work.

Stakeholder engagement and event management

• Build strong working relationships with policy professionals across the youth sector and identify opportunities to work in partnership, where appropriate.

• Develop relationships with key external stakeholders including other policy and public affairs teams in the youth sector and civil servants.

• Work closely with young people and youth workers to help refine UK Youth’s policy positions and influencing plans.

• Lead on day-to-day management of UK Youth’s secretariat role for the Back Youth Alliance, with oversight and support from the Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

• Project manage UK Youth’s involvement in key influencing events, such as party conferences, with oversight and support from the Head of Policy and Public Affairs.

• Represent UK Youth at meetings and events – helping to disseminate insights from our work, tell the story of youth work’s impact to inspire lasting change.

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences – is seeking an ECR Network Regional Coordinator to join the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Network team within the Research Directorate. This is an exciting moment to help deliver the activities of the ECR Network, which has recently expanded nationwide, with membership currently at over 9,500.

The role

The ECRN Regional Coordinator is the main point of contact for three out of the nine regional clusters, which are London, Southeast and East of England. The role holder will oversee the day-to-day operational management and delivery of their regional areas. This will include managing the operational relationships with the regional delivery partners; organising and coordinating regional and network-wide events; managing network-wide funding opportunities; and supporting related initiatives such as the Leadership and Advancement programme.

In post, you will be the key liaison between the Academy and the delivery partners of each region. You will coordinate and be responsible for maintaining and improving operational practices and policies, working closely with early career researchers (ECRs), regional partners, Fellows and staff of the British Academy, and any other stakeholders.

This role plays a key role in supporting the successful operation of the British Academy Early Career Researcher Network. You will be an effective communicator, a team player who is able to collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders, be self-directed, and be happy to take initiative. Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving, in terms of planning, prioritisation and demonstrating resilience when faced with adversity, is essential.

The role will require travel between your allocated clusters. This will be to attend events and meetings with delivery partners where appropriate, with an expectation to be in the London Office at least once a month.

The role

We are seeking a creative, agile and ambitious Graphic Designer to lead the visual identity of our flagship educational programme, Topical Talk Headlines.

Working three days a week, this role offers an extraordinary amount of creative freedom. Every week brings a brand-new global news story, and it will be up to you to establish its unique look and feel. From choosing typography and vibrant colour palettes to deciding between illustration and photography, you will have the autonomy to design resources that make complex, intimidating global issues accessible and engaging for young people aged 10-16 around the world.

Reporting to the Director of Programmes and working closely with our experienced in-house Designer, you will be embedded in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will partner with our expert team of ex-teacher content creators to brainstorm, iterate and deliver world-class classroom resources on tight, overlapping deadlines. While your primary focus will be Topical Talk Headlines, you will also support wider brand and marketing projects across the charity as time allows. 

Responsibilities

Visual identity and resource creation:

• Own the weekly design of Topical Talk Headlines: translate complex global topics into beautiful, clear and practical learning resources, from worksheets and posters to interactive slides and educational games
• Design for global accessibility: use clear information hierarchy, considered layouts and colour-signposting to support teachers and ensure students, including those learning in a non-native language, can seamlessly navigate nuanced concepts
• Uphold our brand standard: deliver high-quality, polished designs that our teachers expect and that reflect the premium reputation of The Economist Educational Foundation
• Design for modern youth experiences: create contemporary, vibrant visuals that reflect and respect how young people engage with the world
• Source impactful imagery: curate and adapt photography and illustration using stock libraries as a base, applying our specific brand guidelines to pick authentic, non-cliché visuals that resonate with children and enhance global stories

Collaboration and production management:

• Work in tandem with Educational Content Leads: engage in rapid, collaborative feedback loops to edit and refine resources, ensuring perfect alignment between the text and visual design

Skills and behaviours

The Senior International Safety and Compliance Officer is based in Conciliation Resources’ (CR’s) Core and Operations Department, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. About the role

Working directly with the Chief Executive as a member of the Senior Management Team of Coram, the Managing Director of Education and Wellbeing provides direct and matrix management and leadership across these different streams of our work with schools and teachers.

In this role you will drive partnership, business development and income to extend the reach, relevance and results for children. You will work to build and diversify subscription, direct purchase, international, statutory and commercial income streams integrating the offers and driving synergies between the programmes in the Centre. - Hands on knowledge of, or involvement in system administration for, at least one Customer Care Plan related system
- Previous history of supporting business systems or their use
- Self-starter with good initiative
