About the role

This is a part-time, fixed-term role (21 hours per week) and a genuine investment in your professional development. As a Welfare Benefits Trainee Adviser, you will receive structured, on-the-job training to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide high-quality, person-centred advice. You will work under close supervision, with the opportunity to achieve the AdviceUK Learning to Advise (LTA) Full Programme certification within your first six months, between September and December 2026.

Day to day, you will support service users with a range of practical needs: interpreting calls, helping with GP registrations, guiding people through form applications, assisting with school enrolment, and providing orientation on accessing government support. As your training progresses, your responsibilities will develop towards more in-depth welfare benefits advice.

This is not an entry-level role that leaves you unsupported. You will be supervised, mentored, and developed throughout, and if you complete your probation successfully, further training and qualification opportunities may follow.

What we are looking for

You will be an advanced Spanish speaker with at least six months of experience working with individuals or communities in a supportive capacity, paid or voluntary. You will bring empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the communities we serve, alongside a structured, organised approach and a willingness to learn.

You do not need to be a qualified adviser yet. What matters most is that you are ready to grow into one.

Right now, we are looking for a Specialist Intervention Worker to play a pivotal role in our Domestic Abuse Services across London

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role provides specialist interventions to women living in refuge with multiple needs who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence. Holding a caseload across a number of refuges providing emotional and practical support and advocacy to the women accessing the refuge.

You will build strong partnerships with a range of statutory and community organisations, including mental health services, substance misuse teams, housing providers, healthcare professionals and voluntary agencies, to ensure women can access the support they need to recover and thrive. You will lead wellbeing-focused activities across refuge services, facilitate group programmes and community meetings, and support women to engage with services, appointments and opportunities that promote confidence, independence and social inclusion.

Using Hestia's trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, you will provide personalised assessments, safety planning and strengths-based support for women with complex needs. You will deliver crisis interventions, support women to access therapeutic, financial and housing-related support, and help them develop move-on goals that enable long-term recovery and independence. You will maintain accurate case records, uphold confidentiality and GDPR requirements, and work closely with refuge teams to share knowledge and build confidence in supporting women with multiple support needs.

• Ability to liaise with external professionals to inform and develop service users' support package.
• Ability to travel across London and further afield when needed.

Our staff take a trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, supporting residents to build essential life skills, identify personal goals, and work towards their aspirations so they can move on to independent and fulfilling futures. Our dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers, and Bank Workers provide personalised guidance, practical assistance, and signposting in key areas including housing, budgeting, daily living skills, employment, and healthy relationship building.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at Eastbourne Foyer, with the expectation of working from our other sites in Hailsham when required. You will hold a caseload of residents and carry out regular key work sessions with them each week. Through these sessions, you will work together to develop personalised support plans, track progress, and help residents achieve their goals.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

Experience and Knowledge

• Experience in housing or supported accommodation, ideally supporting young people with multiple and complex needs.
• Strong understanding of occupancy agreements, rent management, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
• Ability to manage arrears, ASB, and other non‑compliance issues using appropriate and restorative approaches.
• Good knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding procedures, and compliance requirements, with the ability to maintain clear professional boundaries.
• Familiarity with statutory and voluntary services available to young people and ability to work proactively with a caseload to support progression towards independent living.

Skills and Abilities

• Confident in record‑keeping, including case notes, incident reporting, and health and safety checks.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary.
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills.
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

About the role

The Support & Training Coordinator role involves:

• Managing onboarding processes for new facilitators attending training, ensuring clear communication of expectations and timelines, including safeguarding checks

About the Role:

As a Floating Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting services where extra capacity is needed, working across different locations including Exeter, Somerset, Mendip, and Weymouth. This is a varied and dynamic role, offering the opportunity to work across supported housing and outreach services, with no two weeks looking the same.

You’ll work directly with people who have a range of support needs, building positive, professional relationships and providing person‑centred, trauma‑informed support. This includes offering practical help, promoting independence, and responding flexibly to individual circumstances in a fast‑paced environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is well organised, and can adapt to changing priorities and locations. You’ll need to be a driver with access to your own vehicle and business insurance, and be comfortable working flexibly, with rotas provided two weeks in advance and occasional last‑minute changes handled considerately.

What you’ll be doing:

• Give clients advice and information, providing an enabling service so that they can be signposted to, and access appropriate services.
• Maintain client records, so they are accurate and fully updated at all times.
• Ensure all clients are provided with high-quality person-centred services which takes a strength-based and trauma-informed approach.
• Work collaboratively taking a multi-agency approach to safeguard clients.

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Waking Night Support Worker to join our Homelessness Social Care Service in Kensington & Chelsea.

£23,088.00 per annum, working 30 hours per week. 3 nights on and 4 nights off

About the role

You will also build collaborative capacity and partnership working, and coordinate and support professional guidance, sharing and demonstrating best practice tools and approaches for housing and homelessness professionals.

Project management will play a vital part in your role, with you ensuring the effective delivery of the London Plus delivery plan, objectives and outputs within timescale and budget, plus you will develop and manage monitoring approaches or systems to demonstrate impact. About you  

You will have experience of working with people who are facing severe and multiple disadvantage and of working on developmental projects within a voluntary or local authority setting, plus a sound knowledge of relevant external agencies, resources and networks across London and policies and approaches to supporting homeless people. You will also have a proven record of working across organisations, sharing ideas and skills and of multi-agency working and collaborative projects. The Role

We are looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to make daily collections from our food partners in the Midlands region and deliver to warehouses across the West and East Midlands. This role is most suited to individuals with an aptitude for driving, who have excellent customer service skills combined with a professional attitude, as you will be dealing directly with our customers as a representative of FareShare Midlands.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the Supply Chain Team to collect surplus food from partners and deliver to the right regional centre.

• Provide excellent customer service to food partners in person and by phone, offering a highly professional impression of the charity in a friendly manner.
• Adhere to all laws, Road Transport Regulations and HGV Working Time directives.
• Support the Supply Chain Team by collecting stock offered from the food industry and delivering it to Regional Centres in a timely fashion, communicating ETAs and delays.
• Maintain records of collections and allocations e.g. provide paperwork and temperature readings to the Regional Centres on delivery.
• Identify any barriers or opportunities and feedback any developments or challenges e.g. delays, maintenance concerns, instruction errors, etc.
• Ensure deliveries follow the assigned order, the routes are planned appropriately in the given timescale and all delivery windows are met safely.
• Highlight and respond quickly to any anticipated delays or difficulties, using problem solving skills to mitigate any unforeseen circumstances e.g. taking breaks while queueing or changing the order of collections subject to permission from the Supply Chain Team.
• Ensure the quality of the product delivered is accurate against notes, making detailed visual inspections and flagging any concerns or discrepancies before the vehicle is loaded.
• Strengthen existing relationships by providing a reliable and friendly service.
• Adhere to all health and safety and operational requirements at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained, serviced and cleaned to a high standard.
• 6 am to 3 pm shifts & occasionally 7am to 4pm shifts.

This position will involve handballing and lifting with the provision of lifting equipment. You may be required to complete other duties as requested to suit the needs of the charity. Some work on Saturdays with notice will be required.

East Sussex Transitional Housing is a low-support service, providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for 98 young people between the ages of 18-25 who have been, or are, at risk of homelessness. We have a small, supportive, and established team which manages 18 housing properties across, Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

You will be based at the YMCA office in Eastbourne but will be visiting our 7 properties around Eastbourne each week, meeting with residents in their homes and at the office.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).
