Born out of the COVID-19 crisis, DLAG is now one of London’s most dynamic community support networks. We’ve mobilised over 3,000 volunteers to deliver food parcels, household essentials, digital access, and more to thousands of people across Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.

About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and skilled Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to lead the delivery of our comms and fundraising strategies. You'll work alongside a passionate team of staff and volunteers to grow our impact and help drive support for DLAG’s life-changing work.

Responsibilities
- Develop, schedule and deliver marketing plans and social media campaigns
- Prepare and distribute fundraising and donor materials (e.g. newsletters, raffle collateral, digital campaigns)
- Administer JustGiving and Enthuse platforms for campaigns and events
- Coordinate the production of marketing assets with volunteer graphic designers
- Create monthly impact reports and manage marketing dashboards
- Oversee the CRM/database — adding donor, school and corporate contacts
- Support event planning and donor recognition activities
- Line-manage the Volunteer Fundraising Administrator and Newsletter Editor
- Report directly to the Director and work collaboratively with the volunteer marketing team
- Research areas of greatest need in our three boroughs to ensure we continue to reach out to these communities

The role will have overall responsibility for the implementation of the strategic aims of the programme and ensure effective governance, budget oversight, and delivery of the system influencing work and WAU campaign. As Programme Director, you will extensively collaborate at leadership level with existing and new partnerships and stakeholders, parliamentarians and systems leaders to drive impactful interventions.
We operate a hybrid-working model and will require the post holder to be in our central London office a minimum of two days each week. Travel costs to our London office are not covered by the charity.

Essential criteria:
- Proven experience in programme management, ideally within the health sector or physical activity, in a fast-paced organisation Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

The Senior Funding and Development Officer plays a key role at DPI, working to ensure that income meets the organisation’s needs, and in support of achieving the strategic objectives through the development and management of fundraising and donor relations.
The Senior Funding and Development Officer is responsible for identifying and pursuing diverse funding streams; writing applications, reporting back and progress letters to meet existing and future funders’ guidelines; monitoring the implementation of projects to ensure funders’ guidelines are met; and liaising with funders and other stakeholders. The Senior Funding and Development Officer works closely with the Finance Officer to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors.
The Senior Funding and Development Officer collaborates with Programmes Officers with regards to expenditure across budget lines to ensure compliance with grant contracts and grants periods. Senior Funding and Development Officer assists the Finance Manager with audit preparations of accounts at the end of the financial year and ensures the timely drafting of the Trustee report.
TheSenior Funding and Development Officer works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager in the preparation and presentation of the annual organisational budget.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Grants Administration
• Leads the development and delivery of short, medium and long-term fundraising strategies for DPI
• Identifies and nurtures the successful implementation of appropriate grant funding and contracting
• Researches and assesses DPI’s eligibility in line with DPI strategy and donor criteria
• Produces and submits grants proposals, expressions of interest and donor reports
• Oversees compliance with funding requirement to ensure that deadlines and criteria for donor reporting are met, including financial reporting in close collaboration with the Finance Manager
Donor Relations
• Manages and develops external relationships as a representative of DPI, attending meetings and public events where necessary
• Follows up with potential donors to open up new funding opportunities

• Prepares and oversees the dissemination of external materials such as the Quarterly Update and Trustee Report to all relevant contacts

Financial Management
• Helps to develop and implement the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting and reporting processes along with the Finance Manager and the CEO
• Collaborates with Programmes Officers with regards to the allocation of expenditure across budget lines and donors, to ensure compliance with grant contracts.
• Assists the Finance Manager in their work on audit preparations of accounts at the end of the financial year, and ensures the timely drafting of the Trustee report

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in grant administration, ideally with a focus on governmental and intergovernmental funding with strong numerical skills and some budgeting experience

As a Science Communications Officer at BHF, you’ll play a vital role by translating our cardiovascular research into engaging content to support our wider fundraising and brand goals.
The main areas of responsibilities for the role will be:
- Content Creation – Creating audience appropriate summaries of BHF funded projects and engaging written content for use across all channels, while liaising with our Heart Stories and Research Engagement teams to support the development of a central content library of case studies developed from patients own stories.

As Health Intelligence Analyst you will be working as part of our highly respected health intelligence team, playing a key part in ensuring we use data and insights to understand and advocate for the needs and experiences of people living with arthritis and MSK conditions.
The postholder will undertake data analysis, data visualisation, and produce reports to develop and administer systems and processes that aid effective data intelligence gathering. They will also deliver projects and support a forward plan for arthritis and musculoskeletal health intelligence; contribute and work effectively within a dynamic team; and support, nurture and grow relationships with external and internal partners to further Versus Arthritis’ data leadership role in the musculoskeletal (MSK) sector.
About the role
- Lead on establishing and maintaining a ‘single source of the truth’ on arthritis and musculoskeletal statistics and data within the charity and beyond. This includes our annual State of MSK Health statistics report and other statistics publications.
- Support on the development and delivery of a pipeline of insightful MSK and health data analysis and quantitative research, to better understand the UK population with arthritis and MSK conditions and to inform the direction of Versus Arthritis’ ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.
- Work with others, particularly colleagues in UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence, to influence improved quality, extent and use of musculoskeletal health data by statutory bodies across the four UK nations, including Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), National Health Service (NHS), Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), nationally and locally to improve musculoskeletal health nationally.
- Manage and maintain our health intelligence website, intranet and Sharepoint pages and data enquiries inbox, ensuring they are up to date, reflect the latest developments of the health intelligence function in the charity and that queries are answered on time.
About you
If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of epidemiological research methods including experience of using multiple sets of health-related data and information systems, and large-scale data sets for policy, quality improvement or research purposes.
- Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex data in accessible lay terms, including producing data-rich reports for a range of technical and generalist audiences.
- Ability to analyse complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
- Strong experience of using NHS and other national health-based datasets, and a good understanding of UK health and social care systems.
- Experience using data to produce infographics or data visualisation.

The role
Evidence and Evaluation Officers are key to generating and synthesising evidence on what works and developing resources to support its translation to policy makers, commissioners and practitioners.
The primary focus of the role is contributing to the Strengthening Families, Supporting Children programme – a flagship initiative involving three large-scale comprehensive evaluations of distinct social work practice models. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to high-impact evaluations that will directly inform national policy. You will join the project team and will work closely with other Evidence and Evaluation Officers and will be supervised by a Senior Evaluation Officer. You will also support commissioned evaluations.
About you
The role requires a strong mix of research and broader professional skills, including communication skills, initiative, and the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences. You will also need a master's degree in social science, social policy, public health, health services, or another related field, or relevant experience equivalent to a master's qualification.
You will have experience of:
- Conducting implementation and process evaluations and delivering outputs to time and to high quality
- Conducting research in sensitive and complex settings, including children’s social care
- Collecting data from children, young people, and families who may be vulnerable
- Analysing quantitative data, including survey and administrative data
- Coding qualitative data using NVivo and familiarity with different qualitative analytical methods
- Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive research reports.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.
We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3-year fundraising strategy.
In this role, you’ll take the lead on our DIY walking and cycling fundraising activity, which currently raises over £750k each year. You’ll be responsible for providing outstanding relationship management for our fundraisers, ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and proud to be part of our community.
Using data and insight, you’ll spot trends, identify new opportunities and help shape fresh, creative ideas to grow income and improve the supporter experience. You’ll also lead on development projects, like designing new supporter journeys, working closely with teams across the charity to make sure our fundraisers are inspired and supported every step of the way.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll have a proven track record of delivering brilliant supporter experiences, building genuine relationships and stewarding fundraisers through their events. You’ll understand the importance of meeting supporter needs and how to keep them inspired and connected to the cause.
You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. With knowledge of how to plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity, including digital campaigns on Meta, you’ll be comfortable finding ways to engage new supporters and keep them motivated.
