This academic year, we will be expanding our work significantly, supporting close to 3,000 young people from Cornwall to Northumberland. The majority of this growth will be through a one-year project we are running in partnership with the Education Endowment Foundation.

This project is a randomised control trial (RCT) of our Peer to Peer coaching programme, where we will be working with an additional 50 new secondary schools. We have seen consistently strong impact from this programme on the attainment, social & emotional development, and school attendance of disadvantaged young people for many years. This EEF supported RCT now gives us the opportunity to test this impact at significant scale, specifically on the maths attainment, maths self-efficacy, and school attendance of disadvantaged Y10 and Y7 pupils.

To support with the delivery of this work, we are looking to recruit a part time (2-3 days per week) Programme Manager based in Cornwall, to start as soon as possible, and deliver programmes through to July 2026. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a fixed-term or freelance contract, depending on individual circumstances.

You will have end-to-end ownership of your own allocation of programmes, which may involve a mixture of Peer to Peer, Core and LifeCycle programmes. Whilst delivering our programmes you will be required to build excellent relationships with our school and university partners, support with training and developing our undergraduate volunteers, use our evaluation frameworks to assess impact, and lead on conversations related to retention and expansion.

Candidates will be required to travel to secondary schools across Cornwall, with occasional trips to Plymouth and other locations in the South West. Access to a car will be required. At times team members may be asked to travel to a location outside of their region, but this will be rare and sufficient notice and TOIL will be given where appropriate.

The majority of direct delivery in schools will begin in November.

Whilst there is the potential for a permanent role beyond the length of this project, this will be based on our levels of school retention and business development, and so cannot be guaranteed.

Role details Managing and delivering programmes

● Coordinate and run multiple in-school and online programmes, typically requiring travel to schools most working days.

● Set timelines for programme start and finish dates.

● Oversee programme quality and communicate with school staff weekly to provide feedback after sessions.

● Facilitate in-school or digital workshops for groups of pupils, typically Key Stage 3 and 4.

● Plan and organise graduation trips to a local university for pupils on the programme.

● Collect data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as pre and post programme questionnaires, attendance records, and pupil and coach feedback.

● Report regularly to the Programmes Team Leader on key performance indicators and programme updates.

● Build and maintain high quality relationships with pupils, schools, and universities.

● Ensure retention of schools and universities within the region by delivering high quality programmes, and leading retention, renewal, and expansion conversations with partners.

Person Specification Essential characteristics and experience

Below are the key attributes candidates will need to be confident of demonstrating.

● Passion for social mobility. We have big aims and are looking for those who share our desire to make education fairer in the UK.

● Ability to think on your feet. Delivering programmes with young people can be unpredictable, so you will need to be comfortable working reactively to solve challenges at short notice.

● Programme or project management experience. In particular the ability to be organised, plan ahead, and manage competing priorities and timelines.

● Experience with young people. Comfortable running a session or delivering a workshop with a group of young people from age 8-18. (Please note, the vast majority of our programmes are at secondary phase).

● Relationship building and facilitating. This is a public-facing role so you will be involved in communicating and delivering workshops to groups as well as communicating our mission to a wide range of stakeholders (business leaders, senior members of MATs, universities etc.).

● Excellent communication skills, particularly public speaking. You should be comfortable talking to groups of 5 or 500.

● Ability to make quick and clear decisions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Currently corporate income at Trinity averages £150-200k per annum and incorporates a small local business supporters programme, corporate sponsorship of hospice events or services and several larger corporate partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships Manager is a newly created role and they will work to increase income from corporate and business partners over the next 3 years. They will develop a strategy for growing this important area of fundraising and execute it. 

The successful candidate will build on what has been achieved to date to enhance our corporate offering, which will include engaging more businesses through the Local Business Heroes programme, working in partnership with other departments of the hospice to facilitate corporate volunteering and visits. They will work collaboratively with the Events Coordinator and Head of Philanthropy and Events to secure sponsorship for key events such as the RTH Gala Dinner, Dinner and Quiz, Opera at the Hospice, Light up A Life and others underpinning their financial success. In addition, we will look to the new Manager to enhance and develop our current offering. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will be supported by a small team of Fundraising Executives as required and report to the Head of Fundraising.

·Lead on developing and implementing an ambitious corporate fundraising strategy for our client to increase income to  £300k+ over the next three years.

About the role

The Senior Adviser post is a new role to increase capacity within our small and friendly Advice and Information Team. The Senior Adviser will be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based, advice and information by email and phone to Coram BAAF members. Our enquirers are primarily social workers at all levels including senior managers, along with associated professionals in health, legal and other areas of children’s social care.

The role will also support our Outbound Permanence Service which provides specialist advice and resources for local authorities across the UK seeking to place a looked after child with relatives overseas, and also offers training and consultancy. The post holder will, once familiar, have the opportunity to participate in Outbound training delivery.

We envisage this as a 4 day per week role, but are open to considering additional flexibility within the constraints of our core service hours (see full job description).

Parish of St Mary’s and St James, NW6 London

1. Introduction

The Parish of St Mary’s and St James, located in NW6, London, is seeking to appoint an experienced fundraising professional to develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and bid-writing template to support essential large scale capital repair projects at both church buildings.

The appointed consultant will produce a clear, actionable, and sustainable fundraising plan that draws on multiple funding streams — including grants, partnerships, individual giving, digital fundraising, and community events — while ensuring both projects progress cohesively and without internal competition for resources.

2. Project Background

The parish comprises two Grade II listed churches, both of which are active places of worship and important community landmarks within West Hampstead and South Hampstead.

St Mary’s Church

St Mary’s is a Grade II listed building, constructed in 1856-1862, and currently listed on the Historic England “At Risk” Register. The church requires urgent repair works to its spire, estimated at £1.5 million, alongside further essential maintenance identified in the quinquennial inspection. As a historic and much-loved building, St Mary’s preservation is a key priority for the parish and local community.

St James Church

Built in 1887–8 and designed by A.W. Blomfield, St James Church is also Grade II listed. The large red-brick structure, with steeply pitched tiled roofs and Bath stone dressings, is a notable local landmark and the only listed building within the South Hampstead Conservation Area. Camden Council’s Conservation Area Appraisal describes it as “a very important part of the quality and character of the area.”

St James is recognised nationally as a model of how historic churches can be adapted for sustainable use. Reopened in 2014 as The Sherriff Centre, it combines traditional worship with a thriving community and social enterprise hub — including a Post Office, soft play centre, café, retail space, and event venue.

St James now faces essential capital repairs to its roof, guttering, and masonry, as identified by its quinquennial inspection.

Fundraising Objective

Although St Mary’s and St James are distinct buildings, the parish seeks a single, unified fundraising strategy that will enable both capital projects to move forward in tandem, sharing messaging and timelines to avoid competition for funding opportunities.

3. Scope of Work

The consultant will produce a detailed and actionable fundraising strategy and a skeleton bid-writing template to support the parish in delivering its capital repair objectives.

A. Fundraising Strategy

The strategy should cover five core fundraising areas, each with specific recommendations, timelines, and success measures:

1. Grant Applications to Trusts and Foundations
   • Identification of suitable capital funders, including National Lottery Heritage programmes and major charitable trusts.
2. Corporate Partnerships
   • Identification of potential local business partners with corporate social responsibility programmes.
3. Individual Giving
   • Recommendations for regular giving schemes, major donor cultivation, and legacy giving programmes.
4. Digital Fundraising
   • Plans for social media campaigns, crowdfunding, and email marketing.
   • Recommendations for digital platforms, messaging, and performance tracking.
5. Community Fundraising Events
   • Framework for community-focused events to engage local audiences and raise funds.

B. Skeleton Bid Template

An editable bid-writing template will be created to assist the parish with future applications. This will include:

• Core content sections (e.g., project summary, need, impact, budget, sustainability).
• Example text and guidance notes.
• Style and structure recommendations for clarity and professionalism.

4. Deliverables

• Comprehensive Fundraising Strategy Document covering both churches.

SENIOR HR ADVISOR – GENERALIST STAND ALONE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team starting, ideally, from early December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, transitioning to managing an HR standalone function. This is permanent full-time role based in Old Street – London, with occasional travel to our Bristol office.

You will be involved in the whole employee lifecycle, from when candidates apply for a job to when staff leave the organisation. Orchard Fundraising is actively seeking Client Leads to join our team. ​​The role is to lead all activities for a set of clients (typically 4 or 5 in due course). You will be the main point of contact and manage the work supporting each charity. You will be responsible for delivering the agreed fundraising strategy, setting the plan and supervising others working for you in a matrix management system.  At times, you will also need to be involved in application drafting for more complicated bids. 

The role is fully remote, working from home, ideally between 20 and 32 hours per week and can be structured to accommodate your availability and aspirations. Work is highly flexible and could fit around other commitments and lifestyle, with periodic client and colleague meetings at mutually convenient times. Orchard Fundraising is proud of its highly personable approach and is adaptable to a wide range of working patterns. If your availability and needs are outside these parameters, we may still be able to accommodate the right candidates.

At least five years experience of charity fundraising is required, notably trusts and foundations, with expertise in one or more of HNWI, legacy, corporate, digital and individual giving an advantage. You are likely to have been in a senior and/or management role (or demonstrate the capabilities to develop the necessary skills). While no formal qualifications are needed, a Chartered Institute of Fundraising qualification or training would be preferable. About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Development Manager will help shape the organisation’s strategic direction and ensure fundraising is embedded across the organisation. They will lead on individual giving and donor development, alongside capital, trust, and foundation fundraising.

Reporting to the Artistic Director/CEO, the Development Manager will line-manage and collaborate with the freelance Fundraiser, and work closely with the General Manager and Data & Insights Officer to ensure effective bid writing, relationship management, and reporting.

Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a fundraising/development role, preferably 
within arts, heritage, or cultural organisations.
- Experience of individual giving programmes, including donor cultivation, 
stewardship, and retention.
- Proven track record of successful major funding applications to trusts, foundations, 
statutory bodies, and corporate funders.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, best practice, and ethical standards.
- Understanding of the role of fundraising in supporting organisational growth.
