You will lead a high-performing Legacy Marketing team to design and deliver intelligent, insight led supporter journeys that feel personal even at scale. Cerebra understands that if you have a child that doesn’t sleep, the whole family suffers. Many children with neurological conditions suffer from disrupted sleep. Our sleep advice service provides bespoke advice and support so that everyone can get a good night’s sleep.
Legal Rights Service
Our Legal Rights Service provides help and support to families of children with neurological conditions when they are faced with barriers and difficulties in accessing statutory support services they are entitled to. The service provides information on their legal entitlements.
Book and Toy Library Service
Our specialist postal lending library contains a wide range of books for both adults and children, plus a selection of sensory toys specifically chosen for children with a neurological condition.
Innovation and Product Design Service
Our Innovation Service designs and builds bespoke products that cater to the specific needs of children with neurological conditions. The aim of the service is to make products that are desirable and exciting, therefore promoting social inclusion, peer acceptance and enabling children to participate in everyday activities that are so often close to them.
Information Products
Cerebra publishes different information products to help families with a child with a neurological condition. Our information products offer comprehensive, up-to-date support and research-driven strategies to assist families with a wide range of issues.
Buzgi and Toy Adaptation Service
Cerebra designs and builds bespoke assistive equipment for disabled children, this includes creating custom mobility aids, switch‑adapted toys, and other innovative solutions to help children access play, learning, and independence.
The Bugzi - a mini powered wheelchair for children offers many children their first experience of independent mobility. It uses either a joystick or switches and adaptable seating for complex needs, and helps develop spatial awareness, confidence, and early mobility skills. The Bugzi is available through a national loan scheme.
Additionally, we operate commercial services (including a web shop) to supplement our income to support children and their families.

About the role
You’ll manage a portfolio of business-as-usual (BAU) campaigns while supporting wider strategic activity, helping to maximise supporter lifetime value and grow income. In this role, you’ll be working on the In Memory programme within Individual Giving (IG) to inspire people to donate and engage them in a meaningful way, that reflects their unique motivation for supporting the charity. As part of the team, you’ll be innovative in a changing fundraising and cultural landscape, to achieve ambitious annual income targets.
You'll assist with and when required, project manage areas of the In Memory supporter journeys to drive acquisition and retention, ensuring supporters have the best possible experience.

We are looking for a talented Research and Development Officer to join our children and families team at Research in Practice. In this role you will develop and deliver accessible content and learning activities that promote evidence-informed practice and policy across child and family social care, youth and family justice as part of our annual delivery programme for our partners. Purpose of the Role
The Communications & Engagement Officer is a key role within Breaking Barriers’ Income and Engagement Directorate. It helps refugees find meaningful employment through communications and fundraising activities that maintain and grow relationships with partners, funders, supporters and relevant influential organisations and individuals.
The post holder reports to the Senior Communications Manager, and works closely with the Head of Public Engagement, Senior Digital Marketing Manager and Fundraising & Partnerships Officer. They also lead or participate in activities involving colleagues across Breaking Barriers’ teams and our refugee clients.
This role contributes to the implementation of our communications, engagement and fundraising strategies, and is closely involved in team planning – including input into operational plans and communications campaigns to steward and inspire key audiences.
The Communications & Engagement Officer is responsible for the planning and creation of day-to-day communications across our owned channels, with a particular focus on social media. They are also responsible for managing social media interactions and outreach, and for creating selected content for Breaking Barriers’ website.
The post holder helps the Senior Communications Manager to ensure that organisational content complies with brand guidelines. And they play a key role in data management – maintaining our multi-media asset bank and the storytelling data within our Salesforce CRM.
This role will suit a team player who is able to build strong relationships across Breaking Barriers to support content creation, ethical storytelling and impact. The post-holder should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, solution-focused and creative, whilst having a good eye for detail. And, of course, they should have a passion for stewarding, inspiring and mobilising audiences through high-quality, engaging communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communications planning and delivery (60%)
· Work with the Senior Communications Manager to manage the communications calendar.
· Collaborate with colleagues across Breaking Barriers, especially the Income & Engagement and Services teams, to source content that reaches, engages, stewards our key audiences – including partners, funders and individual supporters.

Role Requirements
This role aims to address the additional barriers and needs faced by overindebted individual, ensuring they are supported in navigating these challenges and can focus on the debt advice process effectively. As a Money Engagement Officer you will work across our various community partners, delivering money mentoring support and income maximisation services to local communities with the aim of promoting financial resilience and wellbeing. You will also provide assist in collecting essential documents and information for advisers to progress their cases. You will maintain accurate client and project records and contribute/support Manager(s) with effective project monitoring and reporting. You will capture learning to share with project stakeholders to help inform Rooted Finance’s wider approach to financial inclusion services.
Key functions and impact of the role will include;
Outreach and Engagement: Actively engage overindebted individual through various outreach initiatives such as community events, workshops, and partnerships with local organisations to raise awareness about debt advice to encourage individuals to seek help early and facilitate this through practical 121 support.
Support and guidance: Provide ongoing support needs to keep people with money worries engaged in the debt advice journey. Often people struggling with money worries have additional barriers and needs, this role focuses on the 'support function' which will be available to help people navigate barriers so they can focus on the specialist debt advice needed and offered through Rooted Finance and other support services.
Referral and Collaboration: foster a cohesive relationship to build partnerships and to collaborate with debt advice services, community organisations, and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and ensure a seamless transition into debt advice services. Maintain strong partnerships with service providers to enhance accessibility and support for individuals in need.
Empowerment and Education: Equip our services users by providing ‘digestible’ financial education, coaching, and advocacy to help them make informed decisions, improve their financial literacy, and build long-term financial resilience. Data Collection and Reporting: maintain accurate records of all outcomes, advocacy and support provided to all individuals, diligently record outcomes to track the effectiveness of the triage process and measure the impact of the engagement efforts on increasing access to debt advice and other services.
Duties & Responsibilities: The main duties will include
1. Work closely with RF advice team in identifying client’ needs to work together to implement a holistic approach to supporting individuals.
2. Manage a joint caseload with debt advisers to ensure successful engagement in the debt advice journey, monitor progress and maintain diligent records across all systems

4. Delivering both 121 and group sessions to build individuals’ financial knowledge and resilience.
5. Increasing the visibility and awareness of the advice services through external events and roadshows

Actively connect clients with a wide variety of services through signposting for additional help around health, wellbeing, housing, welfare, immigration, social support and financial advice.
8. Identify aftercare support to help individuals increase their ability around ongoing financial capability and literacy skills and to reduce further and future financial exclusions
9. Working with, and recruiting clients to, our Lived Experience Steering Committee
10. Provide one to one/group sessions to encourage and increase engagement in the debt advice service
11. Develop marketing and creative initiatives to promote and engage with service users to increase uptake in debt advice service and increase full journey completion.

Justice & Care is seeking an experienced, relationship-led and entrepreneurial Head of Philanthropy to lead the growth of transformational major donor income that will help end modern slavery and support survivors to rebuild their lives.
Justice & Care is a pioneering anti-slavery organisation working globally to disrupt and dismantle criminal networks while walking alongside survivors on their journey to freedom and recovery. Philanthropic partnerships are central to this mission, enabling us to support frontline interventions, drive systemic change and equip governments and partners to act effectively.
Leading the philanthropy function, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-value, growth-focused major donor strategy, building and proactively expanding a pipeline of five and six-figure gifts, and growing long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals and networks aligned to our mission. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic direction with direct donor engagement, visible external relationship building and personal solicitation, with a strong focus on pace, momentum and opportunity creation.
Working closely with the Global Director of Fundraising, CEO and senior stakeholders, you will translate Justice & Care’s work into compelling funding propositions, actively open doors to new networks and opportunities, and help unlock significant, sustained income growth across the UK and international markets.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in major donor fundraising, with a proven track record of securing high-value gifts and building strong, long-term donor relationships. They will bring excellent leadership capability, strong strategic thinking and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, alongside experience of proactively managing pipelines, budgets and performance against income targets.

This role will manage a diverse portfolio spanning across multiple income streams - consisting of Glass Door flagship annual events, community fundraising, challenge events, school, church and local business giving. We are seeking an energetic, insightful and creative fundraiser who has the confidence to take on a diverse portfolio and will have demonstrable experience at manager level within one or more of these core areas: events, community or corporate fundraising. Proven experience and demonstrable success in community fundraising at manager level; securing income from a range of fundraising streams and delivering a range of activities.

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Head of Finance will play a key role in supporting the organisations’ ongoing work by providing integrity and efficiency across financial processes, systems, controls and reporting. The role:
- Provide integrity and efficiency in the financial processes, systems, controls and reporting across both organisations.
- Prepare statutory annual accounts in accordance with Charity and Company law.
- Work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to prepare, present and implement annual budgets.
- Monitor and manage financial performance including production of quarterly management accounts, finance reports and ongoing cash flow forecasts.
- Reconcile major balance sheet accounts and revenue reporting between systems.
- Oversee transactional input of income and expenditure transactions, and all payroll procedures.
- Support the Finance and Audit Sub Committees, preparing relevant papers and attending meetings.
- Work closely with auditors and maintain relationships with professional advisors, insurance brokers and bankers.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting and filing requirements, including the Charity Commission and Companies House.
- Provide support and advice to the SMT on financial and relevant matters as they arise.
- Monitor and manage organisational funds on cash deposit platforms.
- Manage partial VAT exemption and VAT reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement financial systems and procedures to ensure best practice and adherence to applicable accounting standards.
