The Senior Community Fundraising & Events Coordinator will play a key role in growing and diversifying Brain Research UK’s community fundraising income and supporter engagement.
Working closely with supporters, volunteers, community groups, and internal colleagues, the post-holder will help develop meaningful relationships, deliver engaging fundraising activities and events, and provide an excellent supporter experience.
The role will also support the planning and delivery of bespoke special events for the charity, working alongside the Events and Community Fundraising Manager on event logistics, supplier coordination, budgeting, and event delivery.

You will have proven experience in fundraising, business development, or partnership management, with a track record of generating income and building strong external relationships. Ideally, you will have experience developing fundraising plans, pipelines, or income streams from an early stage, and will be comfortable working in an environment where processes, opportunities, and supporter journeys are still evolving.
You will be confident identifying and pursuing new opportunities, developing compelling proposals and cases for support, and managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including corporate partners, community fundraisers, volunteers, and individual supporters.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, self-motivated, and creative, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues across fundraising, marketing, and operational teams.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a confident, ambitious, and entrepreneurial Fundraising Manager to help grow sustainable income for Adoption UK by building and developing strong relationships with corporate partners, supporters, volunteers, and local communities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supported by the Director of Fundraising, take ownership of developing, delivering and monitoring fundraising events and activities in line with our fundraising strategy.

Lead on key income streams to maximise net income and develop sustainable income streams for short, medium and long-term growth.

Monitor and evaluate progress against plans using management information and budgets to produce reports and forecasts as required

Deliver effective supporter journeys to improve supporter experience, retention, and long-term engagement.

Work alongside the Director of Fundraising to develop and implement processes and policies.

Grow and diversify income across corporate partnerships, community fundraising, events, individual giving and digital activity.

Develop compelling proposals and pitches for corporate partners, clearly articulating social value, impact and return on investment.

Build and manage a strong corporate prospect pipeline using research, data and structured follow-up to convert opportunities. Identify opportunities to sponsor projects and activities.

Collaborate with marketing colleagues to develop assets and digital campaigns to support fundraising appeals and events.

Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations including membership and community teams.

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. The purpose of the Senior Development Manager is to build and maintain a portfolio of high value donors and prospects through proactive networking, identifying cultivation opportunities and thoughtful stewardship. With a focus range of £100,000 and above, the position will develop long-term, strategic partnerships with existing and potential high value supporters, where relationships and their impact will be measured from both a financial and non-financial perspective.

1) To raise funds in the form of high value gifts (focusing on £100,000 and above) through a variety of methods, including regular face-to-face meetings, attending conferences and participating in other activities by implementing a comprehensive programme to identify, research, cultivate and solicit high value donors who have the potential for significant, multi-year giving.

The successful appointee will combine strategic thinking with direct delivery, collaborating closely with the Director and Trustees to secure the next chapter of Lightbox Gallery’s success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising Leadership
- Lead the delivery of the Lightbox20 anniversary campaign, creating compelling cases for support, preparing fundraising collateral, and engaging supporters and stakeholders.
- Deliver an ambitious fundraising campaign with clear targets that is aligned with organisational goals.
- Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities, partnerships, and income streams, including the Big Give campaign for Giving Tuesday December 2026.
Relationship and pipeline management
- Collaborate closely with the Trustees and Director to identify, build, and manage relationships with individual donors, supporters and prospects.
- Develop cultivation and stewardship plans, including face-to-face meetings, events, and personalised engagement.
- Confidently represent the organisation when meeting donors and supporters.
- Identify local business sponsorship opportunities and approach relevant businesses to celebrate Lightbox20.
- Maintain strong relationships with funding partners through effective reporting and stewardship.
Event support
- Support and attend fundraising events and campaigns, including Director’s Circle events, and donor cultivation and stewardship activities.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to maximise fundraising opportunities within exhibitions and public programmes.
Fundraising Operations & Administration
- Manage campaign donor communications, acknowledgements, and stewardship processes.
- Conduct prospect research and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor income, prepare reports, and track fundraising performance on the database, Raiser’s Edge.
- Ensure fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations and best practice.
