As Training & Engagement Officer you’ll deliver high-quality gambling harm education and training across a variety of settings — from schools and youth groups to healthcare, community organisations, and local authorities.

Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Lead will play a critical role in driving the financial sustainability of Child’s i Foundation. This person will lead efforts to secure new income, grow existing partnerships, and strengthen supporter engagement. Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Income Generation

About Now Teach
Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). ABOUT THE ROLE
Role overview
This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy.
You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

Role Purpose
The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters. We play a vital role in demonstrating the impact of our work connecting data, qualitative insight, and lived experience to the policy agendas shaping communities across the UK. Through storytelling, analysis, and evidence, we make sure volunteering is recognised as a driving force for social change.
We are a small, hands-on team. You will be involved in every aspect of our work from desk-based research and writing briefings to organising external meetings and working directly in communities alongside our volunteers. This variety allows you to connect national policy with local realities and help volunteers share their voices where it matters most.
You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.
Key Duties Responsibilities
· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.
· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers.
· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.
· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.
· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.
· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.
· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.
· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.
· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups.
Essential Skills
· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.
· Understanding of policy, public affairs, or influencing, ideally within the voluntary or community sector.

Your job will be to produce in person conferences, with a difference, for Pupil Premium Leads in
Events where practitioners don’t just share what’s worked but also what hasn’t. Openly and transparently.
The aim is to curate powerful and practical warts and all stories, which attendees can ask questions about and dig deep into each other's work.
- What we avoid
- Glossy key notes delivered by non serving leaders telling serving leaders what to do
- Only sharing their successes
- Surface level panels that don’t say anything of substance about how leaders do what they do
- Lots of passive sitting and listening in big audiences
- Not developing deep and lasting relationships between attendees
- Where the events are geared entirely towards promoting products and services more than the amazing PPM leaders and their practice

- Dedicated to giving serving Pupil Premium Leaders - from diverse backgrounds - to the platform to share their work
- Sharing openly, honestly and transparently the challenges as well as the wins
- Small group discussions about very specific topics where attendees can go deep

On the speaker/content side, you’ll:

What experience and track record do you have?
It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. It goes without saying, we can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

Education and/or teaching: Knowing how the MAT and schools system works is a must. Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

Main Responsibilites:
Content Development & Design
- Create high-quality digital and media learning materials, including guides, toolkits, presentations, eLearning modules and video resources tailored for creative professionals
- Translate complex topics into accessible, innovative and impactful learning content that supports a variety of professional development pathways and diverse audiences
- Use authoring tools (such as Articulate, Vyond, Canva, Thinkific etc.) to create interactive and visually engaging learning experiences, incorporating video, audio, and creative media
- Champion inclusion by ensuring all content reflects Artswork’s commitment to and standards of access, diversity, equality, inclusion and cultural relevance
- Upload, organise, and update course content on our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring resources are accessible, easy to navigate and up to date

Collaboration & Team working
- Work in collaboration with the Learning Development Manager, Professional Development team, subject matter experts, and clients to shape meaningful learning experiences

About the role
At the heart of our operations, our exceptional Regional Casework Coordinators serve as the primary point of contact for members of the armed forces community reaching out to our Regional Offices for support.
In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. You may be supporting individuals in distress over the phone, managing email and voicemail communications, collaborating with volunteers on complex casework, building strong relationships with local authorities and charitable organisations, or working closely with internal services to secure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support them. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensuring that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the East of England region in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, or Essex.
You will occasionally be required to travel around the region or further afield, to attend face to face meetings or training events.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will initially be required to attend an in-person caseworkers’ course which may require an overnight stay.
About the team
Reporting to the Regional Casework Manager our Casework Coordinators, together with our Volunteer Caseworkers, work remotely within the regional office area. With beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do, team members pride themselves in building and maintaining close working relationships to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The wider regional support team includes a Regional Manager, Volunteer Development Manager and a Community Engagement Manager.
About you
To thrive in this role, you'll demonstrate composure and resilience, paired with genuine empathy and a strong commitment to supporting those in need.
Our beneficiaries are at the heart of everything we do. To support them effectively, you’ll need to be an attentive listener and a clear, compassionate communicator.
You will have experience of providing welfare support, especially on the telephone and an understanding of benefits, debt management, disability, homelessness, local authority provision or mobility would be a real benefit. Understanding the way of life of today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and experience of working with volunteers would be a real advantage.

About the opportunity
The Training Officer will have a range of administrative responsibilities relating to Action Tutoring’s tutor training delivery and curriculum resources.
As Training Officer, you will support the Training Team by scheduling sessions in digital systems, organising and checking ID and DBS documents submitted by volunteer tutors, and responding to enquiries to support a smooth tutor journey. The role does not involve delivering training to volunteers
You will also support with managing the version history and corrections of our bespoke tutoring curriculum resources, helping keep our online library of materials accurate and up to date.

Contract and hours: Part-time 0.8FTE (30hours per week, ideally Monday to Thursday) fixed-term contract until 21st August 2026.
Please note, this role involves a small amount of evening and weekend work (approximately 90 minutes per week during peak volunteer recruitment periods), scheduled in advance and with time off in lieu given.
Duties and responsibilities
- Process DBS checks for volunteers (training provided).
- Communicate with volunteers before and after training to guide them through the DBS process and resolve any issues.
- Schedule tutor training events in our CRM, Salesforce, and manage video conferencing set-up in Zoom.
- Support with maintaining and updating tutor training paths on our digital learning management system, 360Learning.
- Manage the digital storage of our curriculum resources for staff and volunteers, maintaining accurate version control and assisting with corrections and updates.
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Qualification criteria:
- The right to work in the UK.
We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:
- Strong organisational skills; experience managing complex digital administrative processes with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in assisting customers or other stakeholders with queries.
- Previous professional experience handling sensitive personal information appropriately.
- Proficiency in using Google Workspace.
- Evidence of adapting quickly to new software, including using video-conferencing software to set up events.
- Evidence of adapting quickly to using a CRM system.
You will likely be more successful in this role if you have:
- Experience managing DBS applications, including supporting applicants with inquiries.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM for administration.
- Experience using Zoom to schedule online events.

Play a strategic and leading role in the development and delivery of support programmes across Big Issue Changing Live CIC.
Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for a Director for Programmes and Partnerships to lead the development and delivery of national programmes of support across Big Issue Recruit and Street Sales, test new ways of working and develop key partnerships to improve outcomes for people experiencing poverty across the UK.
You will also identify fundraising priorities, build national strategic partnerships, deliver a volunteer programme to improve engagement across local communities and lead on safeguarding across the CIC.
As an individual you will have experience of delivering services to achieve agreed targets, and of generating income to develop and grow these services, have excellent networking skills, possess a good understanding of third-party organizations relating to homelessness, universal credit, mental health, substance abuse and employment, and knowledge of poverty and homelessness issues and the difficulties vulnerably housed people face.
You will enjoy autonomy and working on your initiative, but will also enjoy working as part of a team and be able to create a collaborative and focussed working environment, both within your own department and as a member of the senior management team of the Big Issue Group. Therefore you will be someone who leads by example, demonstrates strong leadership and can be a role model showing the organization’s values through your own behaviour.

Workplace details

Operations Officer Wales
You will be working alongside a team of Operations Officers, supporting, inspiring and guiding DofE leaders to ensure a consistent and quality experience for the young people that they support. You’ll be managing a portfolio of existing partners in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.
You will be home based, but there will be a mix of face to face and online interactions and, you will need to be prepared to travel across your patch. There may be meetings elsewhere in Wales, or across the UK, which you will be required to attend.
Whilst you won’t be working directly with young people, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are having a positive impact on their opportunities.
