About Us

Adventures for Animals was established as a fundraising initiative of IAPWA to empower passionate individuals to explore the world whilst changing it for animals in need. Every trek, climb, and challenge helps fund IAPWA’s vital rescue, rehabilitation, vaccination and community outreach programmes. Through storytelling, content, and community engagement, we aim to inspire people who care about both animals and exploration.

Volunteer Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and reliable Volunteer Social Media Assistant to help grow and maintain our online presence. This is a flexible, fully remote volunteer role ideal for someone passionate about animal welfare, adventure, travel, and digital storytelling.

While the role does not involve travel itself, we’re looking for someone who enjoys the adventure and travel space and can help bring that energy into engaging social media content whilst integrating some of the animal welfare stories from IAPWA.

The position is designed to fit around your schedule, with an expectation of approximately 2 posts or reels per week.

Responsibilities

• Create and schedule engaging social media content for Instagram and Facebook
• Design simple graphics, reels, captions, and stories aligned with our brand and mission
• Help maintain a consistent social media presence
• Source and repurpose existing content where appropriate
• Write captions that encourage engagement and awareness around animal welfare and adventure-related topics

95% of motherless mothers feel isolated. 85% say pregnancy or early motherhood reopened their grief. 80% are experiencing mental health difficulties such as anxiety or depression. This is why The Motherless Mothers exists. Motherless mothers often feel unseen, misunderstood, and unsupported. But we're here to change that. Our mission is to provide the support and representation that every motherless mother needs when they need it most. Because this experience deserves recognition, research, support and language.

What we're looking for 

A fundraising professional with experience, passion and drive to grow this movement. In just under two years, we've made huge waves to take this experience out of the shadows and to give it a voice. From speaking in UK parliament, huge collaborations with reputable brands like Peanut and cardfactory, inaugural research into the mental health repercussions women without a mum face, and research to embed pathways of care that see motherless mothers first into NHS maternal mental health systems and workplaces. 

We need someone to take our fundraising efforts to the next level to allow us to do more. We have so many ideas, and would love someone with a creative, fresh and skilled approach to join our team of fabulous women who are wanting to make this experience more understood and heard. 

We are seeking a motivated and analytically minded volunteer to support the development of sustainable income generation opportunities for The Mindful Life Group. The Role

We provide women smallholder farmers finance, inputs, training, and market access for climate-smart agriculture.

Plateful Café works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities in Lewisham. Our commitment is to reach the most vulnerable people in our community and open a pathway to employment for people who have asylum here. Refugees will benefit from workshops, training skills and knowledge relevant for the catering industry. What will the role involve?

• Looking for partnership opportunities with the private sector.
• Assisting with the development and ongoing work of Businesses Fundraising Action Group.
• Assisting in planning fundraising strategies with local businesses.
• Reporting on businesses partnerships and recent developments at Plateful Café.
• Working in partnership with the Plateful Café fundraising team.

Essential:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience of working with corporates.
• Expertise in new project creation and developing business links.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in fundraising and/or marketing.

What difference will you make?

• Helping to establish a new Business support group and a sustainable long-term funding structure.
• Developing and maintaining a funding mix, not relying on only one stream of funding.
• Helping local refugees find employment and enter the workforce much sooner than they otherwise might.
