We are seeking 2–3 enthusiastic volunteers to help us clear a backlog of membership applications, process new applications, and maintain, manage, and optimise our Salesforce platform. To meet our needs, we are recruiting for two distinct volunteering roles based on level of Salesforce expertise:

VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATOR
Across the UK, our 65 local branches work with disabled people to help them live the lives they choose. Our network of skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment free of charge.
Our Administrator volunteers are the lynchpin our local branch activities. They act as the first point of contact, ensure useful information is circulated to other members and help us make sure we keep all the data and details we need up to date.
What the role involves
This is a varied role that each branch tends to do a bit differently, but it will involve:
• Keeping records and data up to date and taking notes at meetings
• Preparing mail-outs
• Answering enquiries
• Accessing the branch Remap Email and Portal accounts
• Booking venues for meetings
• Ensuring branch members are aware of current agreements/activities

This role plays a vital part in ensuring people with mental health needs receive timely, confidential, and effective advocacy support. By assisting with referrals, communication, and day‑to‑day administrative tasks, you will help our advocates focus on supporting individuals while gaining valuable experience in a mental health service.
Purpose of the Role
To support the Advocacy Service with essential administrative tasks, ensuring referrals are
processed efficiently and communication channels are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
• Process and log referrals received via the service inbox
• Monitor incoming calls and manage voicemail messages
• Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Word
• Support advocates with general administrative duties
• Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Communicate effectively with team members and external contacts
Skills and Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Good telephone manner and communication skills
• Well organised with strong attention to detail
