As an MS Help Hub Volunteer, you'll be there for people affected by MS when they need someone to listen.

You'll provide emotional support and reliable information, helping people feel heard, understood and more confident about their next steps. Sometimes you'll answer practical questions; other times, simply offering a listening ear can make all the difference.

You'll support people primarily over the telephone, although we also respond to enquiries by letter, email and webchat. Every conversation is different, and every conversation matters.

You don't need to have all the answers. We'll provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you build your knowledge of MS, available support, and the wider challenges people may face. You'll always be part of an experienced team of staff, volunteers and specialists who are there whenever you need them.

Most importantly, you'll be helping ensure that nobody has to face MS alone.

These hours can be completed flexibly across the week and don't all need to be in one session. The MS Help Hub is open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Join Goodwill Caravan for our upcoming Winter Fundraising Gala at the Corinthia Hotel London, hosting a variety of corporate guests and law firms to raise vital funds for refugee legal aid and anti-trafficking projects. We are looking for 10-12 professional, welcoming volunteers to act as Table Hosts and assist with guest check-ins and donations.

The Role: Gala Table Host and Support

• Table Hosting: Act as the main charity point-of-contact for a designated table of 10 guests.
• Donations: Use simple, handheld card machines to securely process guest donations.
• Guest Welcome: Support our core team with front-of-house check-ins and wayfinding as guests arrive.

Peaceful Place is a specialist dementia charity supporting people to remain active, independent and connected to their community.  We focus on abilities, not limitations, helping every person who attends our day centre continue to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

We are looking for volunteers to help in our busy charity shop in Southend.  Funds from our charity shop go directly towards supporting the activities provided at our day centre.

Person specification: 

As workshop facilitator, you will need to:

• Have passion, knowledge and experience in coding, computing and technology

• Have strong presentation skills

• Be punctual and organised

Availability: Workshops will run during the day on school holiday dates, on Saturdays or in the evening (5pm-8pm).

Additional information: We will need to conduct reference checks and you will need an Enhanced DBS for this role as you will be working directly with children. We can process this for you or you may submit one if this is less than 2 years old.

Rate of pay: This is a self-employed role. You must be aged 18 or above. Facilitator sessions range from 2 to 6 hours. The rate of pay will vary based on the budget of the funder.

What is the role?

This role sits within the RAF Museum’s Midlands Development Programme which will transform our museum and our impact on the local community though a series of phased projects – engaging audiences who may not obviously identify with the RAF story by finding common interests and histories which link them. As part of this project, we are planning a new learning centre, outdoor spaces, collections hub and major exhibition.

The RAF Museum is looking for a small team of Communications and Marketing Volunteers. The role can be based in Cosford , Stafford or London, with the option to assist remotely. This person will volunteer alongside the Communications and Marketing team and is suited to someone interested in content creation and social media, has good writing and communication skills, and is keen to assist with a wide range of exciting filming, promotional, news and event opportunities.

What will I be doing?

You will be assisting the Communications and Marketing team with a range of activities, including:

• Using the Museum collections to create social media posts
• Creating video content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X including captions so content is accessible
• Drafting social media posts for multiple platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Blue Sky), dependent upon the subject/content

· Meeting with staff onsite to develop ideas for stories

· You will be invited to attend events or interview staff and other professionals involved in the Midlands Development Programme

· Develop written and video blogs based on content from either our Midlands site, our stored collection in Stafford, or content in London related to the Midlands Development Programme

· Capture photos to support blog posts and general marketing campaigns

· Assist with updating content on the Museum’s website

· Support the team by hosting media visits and attending events both on and off-site

• Assist with research and content planning, by identifying awareness days, RAF and other relevant anniversaries, and trending topics to help build the content calendar
• Adapt existing blogs, videos and stories into short-form social posts, newsletters or LinkedIn content
• Assist with the analysis of campaigns
• Submit draft content to the team for sign off and publication of content.

This is a flexible role in terms of days and hours, depending on the projects and activities taking place at the Museum which require communications support. Many of the content projects can be done at a time and pace mutually agreed.

Unfortunately, thousands of cats each year are abandoned or have strayed and rely on charities like Cats Protection for help. Becoming a trap, neuter and return (TNR) volunteer is one way you can make a real difference to cats in your local area. Our TNR volunteers help reduce the number of feral cats by raising awareness of our TNR programmes, setting humane traps to safely capture cats, taking them to local vets to be neutered, and hopefully returning them back to their territory. Local TNR programmes are crucial, as feral and abandoned cats present a huge challenge for communities across the UK.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

• Volunteering alongside colleagues including the branch coordinator/team leader, Cat Welfare team, branch development manager and Vet team to ensure that cat care policies, procedures and standards are applied
• Support fosterers to follow cat welfare policies and procedures
• Acting as the main point of contact within the branch for cat welfare and ensuring that welfare updates are shared and implemented effectively
• Supporting the branch by ensuring that accurate and up to date records of all cats helped are maintained, using specified systems
• Attending relevant volunteer training sessions and encouraging other volunteers to do likewise
• With the other volunteers, recruit, induct and support all branch fosterers and cat care volunteers
• Represent the branch at relevant meetings
• Play an active part in the branch committee, being part of the branch team leading on cat adoption information and updates
• Collaborating with the cat adoption team leader to ensure the highest standards of cat care are applied in line with our policies and procedures

Time expectation

The time expectation for this role will vary depending on the number of volunteers and cats in care. Our cat welfare team leaders usually spend between 10 to 12 hours per week in this role which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Customer Experience Volunteers (Cinema) play an important role in supporting the smooth operation of film screenings at the Studio.

Working alongside a member of the Customer Experience team, you will help create a welcoming, safe and enjoyable experience for customers attending our cinema screenings. This role provides additional support to the team member working within the Studio, helping to strengthen customer service, security and emergency response arrangements.

You will be a visible and approachable presence for customers, providing assistance where needed and helping to ensure the cinema environment remains welcoming, safe and well presented throughout the screening.

About You - What You Bring

• Has a passion for film and an interest in supporting our cinema programme.

• Enjoys providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

• Is reliable, professional and comfortable working as part of a team.

• Is confident working independently and able to remain proactive during quieter periods.

• Has good awareness of their surroundings and can respond calmly to customer needs or unexpected situations.

Cinema screenings can vary in attendance, and some sessions may be quieter than others. The successful volunteer will be someone who remains engaged, professional and proactive, recognising that maintaining a welcoming and safe environment is important even during quieter periods.

Previous customer service or cinema experience is desirable but not essential. Full guidance and support will be provided.

Due to film ratings volunteers need to be a minimum of 18 years old.
