We are looking for up to ten UK university students to join our volunteer Student Ambassadors team and help Ygam achieve its social purpose by reaching out to students at university. This will be achieved by advising Ygam on the needs of students, supporting with content development, organising activities at your campus, and join us at events to raise awareness of gaming and gambling harms.

We are seeking individuals who are outgoing, with a confident personality. You will enjoy engaging with other students and be able to advise us on the experiences of students with regards to gaming and gambling.

Volunteer Safeguarding Lead

Role Overview

The Volunteer Safeguarding Lead will be responsible for ensuring that Guardian Light Foundation and Guardian Light Enterprises Ltd maintain the highest standards of safeguarding for children and vulnerable individuals. This role is critical in creating a safe, compliant, and supportive environment across all services and activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and regularly review safeguarding policies and procedures

• Act as the main point of contact for all safeguarding concerns or incidents

• Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers on safeguarding matters

• Ensure all team members understand and follow safeguarding protocols

• Manage and document safeguarding reports, ensuring appropriate action is taken

CoSRH is seeking an experienced Digital, Technology and Cyber Security Trustee to join its Board and provide strategic leadership on technology, digital innovation, data governance, and cyber security.

As a Trustee, you will share collective responsibility for the governance, sustainability, and strategic direction of CoSRH. In this specialist role, you will act as the Board’s lead on digital and technology matters, offering insight and constructive challenge to ensure CoSRH’s technology strategy is forward‑looking, secure, ethical, and aligned with the organisation’s mission and member needs.

Key responsibilities include overseeing digital transformation and technology investment, advising on cyber security risk and incident preparedness, supporting data protection and GDPR compliance, and contributing to decisions on technology procurement and supplier management. You will also help the Board understand the implications of emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, and support the development of digital capability and awareness across the organisation.

We are looking for someone with significant senior‑level experience in IT, digital technology, or cyber security, ideally with board or executive‑level exposure. You will be able to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non‑technical audiences and have a strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance. Experience in the charity, healthcare, or membership sectors is desirable but not essential.

We’ve designed our volunteering programme to be flexible and adaptive to you.  All volunteering is 100% remote and you’re supported fully by our team.  You control what you do and how many hours per week you want to volunteer.  Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check. If your application is successful, we will ask for a donation towards the cost of your enhanced DBS check if it's required for your role. This cost is £22.60.

Introduction to African Adventures Foundation

African Adventures Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013 to provide support to 34 schools in developing areas of Ghana, Kenya and Zanzibar.

These schools provide education, health and food security, and social support to young people whose access to these basic services would otherwise be very limited. African Adventures Foundation helps by funding food security programmes, the construction of important school facilities, and hygiene projects that will benefit children’s health and education.

Our mission is to provide more children with a quality education and better opportunities in life.

 All trustees are responsible for governing a charitable company and directing its management and operation. They must also ensure that the trust complies with all legal and statutory requirements.

About the role

The Secretary supports the effective governance and administration of the African Adventures Foundation. The role ensures that the Board of Trustees operates efficiently, meetings are properly organised and recorded, and the charity complies with regulatory and administrative requirements. The Secretary works closely with the Global Chair, Treasurer, and other Trustees to ensure the charity follows best practice in governance and maintains accurate records.

As an ambassador, they also support external stakeholder and donor activities ensuring compliance to the standards required. 

Key Responsibilities 

Governance and Administration

• Support the Global Chair in ensuring AAF is effectively governed and operates in line with its governing document.
• Ensure trustee meetings are properly administered, including preparing agendas, coordinating papers, and taking accurate minutes.
• Ensure that trustee decisions and discussions are clearly recorded and stored appropriately.
• Maintain up-to-date records of trustees, governance documents, and key organisational information, including steward of the governance schedule for all territories.

Meeting Management

• Ensure that trustee meetings are properly administered and recorded.
• Circulate agendas, minutes, and supporting papers to trustees in a timely manner.
• Ensure other meetings, such as the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and key organisational events are properly administered.
• Ensure that minutes from meetings are approved and maintained as part of the charity’s official records.

Compliance and Record Keeping

• Ensure that records required by regulators are properly maintained, including those required by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
• Maintain accurate governance documentation, including trustee appointments, resignations, and declarations of interest.
• Ensure that Charity Commission and other relevant organisation records are maintained and kept up to date.

Regulatory Reporting

• Ensure required information is filed with regulators in accordance with statutory deadlines.
• Submit annual returns and other required filings to regulatory bodies in the correct format and within required timescales.
• Support the Board in ensuring compliance with relevant guidance from bodies such as the Charity Commission for England and Wales and the Fundraising Regulator.

Monitoring Actions and Board Support

• Maintain an action log for trustee meetings.
• Monitor committee member action points and follow up where necessary.
• Support trustees by ensuring they have access to relevant governance information and documents.
• Assist the Board in maintaining good governance practices and transparency.

Terms of appointment

Terms of office

• Trustees are appointed for a 2-year term of office, renewal for 2 further terms to a maximum of 6 years.
• This is a voluntary position, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

About us

Care4Calais is a volunteer-based charity providing essential aid and support for refugees in France and the UK.

In northern France we operate year-round from Calais, providing warm clothing, bedding, food and assistance to refugees who live in appalling and dangerous conditions. 

Across the UK we collect and distribute clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essential items, as well as offering social support and interaction, including language lessons, sport and music workshops. We also help with vital access to legal, medical and educational services.

Our Legal Access Department is an access to justice project that exists to arrange critical legal representation for people seeking asylum and, more than this, to support people through the hostility and difficulty of claiming asylum. The department, made up mostly of volunteers, works tirelessly to ensure that people feel informed, empowered, and less alone.

The Role

In this busy, hands-on role, you’ll gain an understanding of how the UK asylum system works, enabling us to provide the highest standards of service to those who need us most. Your work will focus on maintaining accurate records, following clear processes, and delivering high-quality support to every one of our vulnerable clients.

This will include working with individuals in UK Immigratin Removal Centres. As a Detention Team Volunteer Caseworker, you’ll be speaking to clients impacted by the government’s “one in, one out” policy. You will be taking them through our client questionnaire to gather information important for their referral to legal support.

This role requires a commitment of 10 hours per week distributed across the week to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service. Your volunteering hours can be adapted to fit your schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Attending induction, ongoing training and keep up to date with resources and procedure to ensure you can carry out the role effectively and efficiently.

Position: Board of Director - Program & Impact Expert (Unpaid Volunteer Role)

Role Purpose

We are seeking a creative and committed Volunteer Content Creator to help raise awareness, engage our audience, and grow our online presence across both GLF and GLE platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for social media (posts, captions, short videos, graphics)

• Support content planning in line with campaigns and key messages

• Share impactful stories (while maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards)

• Assist in growing audience engagement across platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)

• Maintain a consistent tone and brand voice

• Work collaboratively with the marketing team
