Orpheus is seeking a creative professional to join Level Up, our mentoring programme for young disabled adults beginning their journey in the creative industries.

This role is an opportunity to support an emerging artist to build confidence, develop their creative practice, and navigate the industry. We welcome mentors from all creative backgrounds, including design, fashion, film, animation, theatre, writing, music, dance, and more.  On this occasion we are seeking someone with experience in fashion, retail, styling, and voice performance, particularly those specialising in character driven performances for animation, gaming, audio dramas, and related media.

Deaf Role Models share their lived experience of deafness with deaf children and their families, showing what is possible. This volunteering will take place at different types of events and activities, either in-person or online. More than 90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents who might know very little about deafness. Being able to meet deaf adults can give them a deeper understanding of the different choices and possibilities for their child.

About you

• Aged 18 years and over

• Lived experience of deafness – it doesn’t matter what level of deafness you have, or how you communicate

• Willing to share your personal experiences of deafness with a range of audiences including families of deaf children and young people in different community venues

• Prepared to answer questions that families and/or children may have about your experiences

• You may talk about topics such as your family life, initial diagnosis, communication, education, interests and hobbies, career and challenges

Role Summary

The Operations Analyst is responsible for measuring, analyzing, and optimizing the organization’s
internal operations to improve efficiency, accountability, and overall performance. This role focuses on operational systems development, process evaluation, workflow optimization, and organizational effectiveness, enabling leadership to make informed decisions and ensuring that the organization’s activities are structured, scalable, and effective.

While analytical skills are essential, this is not a traditional Data Analyst role. The emphasis is on understanding how systems, teams, and workflows function, and using insight to design and improve operational structures, not just analyze datasets.

The Operations Analyst does not execute or enforce tasks, but plays a critical role in diagnosing
operational challenges and recommending actionable, system-level solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

The Operations Analyst will:

• Support decision-making but will not replace leadership authority

Greatwood & Horseclose Communty Centre sits in a well established friendly community, made up of home owners, private rental and six various Housing Associations.

What is the role?

As a Fundraising Events Admin Volunteer, you will play a key role in helping our team focus on delivering successful fundraising events and supporting our incredible fundraisers. Talkthru is a specialist counselling charity based in Huddersfield, offering free, confidential support to individuals and families affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss and other birth-related trauma. As we continue to grow, we are looking to raise awareness and reach more families who need us—this is where you come in.

The Role

We are looking for a creative, sensitive, and driven Content Creator to help increase our charity's visibility, tell impactful stories, and reach communities who need support. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by using your storytelling and digital skills to foster connection, healing and support for bereaved families.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging and sensitive content for our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Develop posts that align with our tone: warm, empathetic, and respectful
• Help promote key campaigns, events, and awareness initiatives
• Support the creation of blogs, short videos, or graphics (Canva or similar)
• Creating or refreshing website content, ensuring it aligns with our tone and mission
• Collaborate with our team to share real stories, testimonials, and resources (with consent)
• Monitor engagement and adapt content to help reach wider audiences

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Has experience or strong interest in content creation
• Understands how to handle sensitive topics (e.g., trauma, grief) with care
• Is a thoughtful communicator and a strong storyteller (written and/or visual)
• Is comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
• Has experience with Canva, social media scheduling tools, or basic video editing (a bonus, not essential)
• Has a heart for our mission and a commitment to supporting grieving families

Events Volunteers are an essential part of our work for reaching and supporting different communities. Our partners in the community hold events across the UK and your support will help ensure they run smoothly, and attendees have a positive experience! You may be on your own, or as part of a team so you’ll need to be enthusiastic and motivated. 

About you 

• Aged 18 years and over 

• Reliable and good at organising your time 

• Good attention to detail 

• Friendly and polite with good communication skills 

• Self-directed and motivated 

When and where 

• Events will vary regionally and may take place during the day, evening, or weekends as a one-off or regular occurrence 

• You’ll decide where and when you’d like to volunteer - we don’t expect anyone to travel far from their home

• We're looking for volunteers in Berkshire, Somerset, and Bristol

What you will do 

Your tasks will depend on who you are supporting and what kind of event they’re running, but they will probably include: 

• Completing agreed tasks on time and responding to any changes on the day 

• Engaging with families and sharing your expertise if appropriate (either professional or lived experience) 

• Supporting with different areas, e.g. signing people in, helping with directions, sharing information 

• Identifying tasks that need doing and any issues that need reporting 

• Using your initiative to respond to situations and help out without being asked 

• Presenting the National Deaf Children’s Society and our community partners in a positive way

Support and training

We’re seeking friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who want to make a difference in their community by helping their local Oxfam shop to stay open for as long possible. We need people to open and close the shop, and ensure volunteers know what tasks to undertake so the shop can run smoothly.

No prior experience is needed, as we provide full training. If you’re open to learning, enjoy working with others, and have a passion for helping people, you’ll fit right in!

You have the time to become a volunteer in your community; you might be looking for work experience, the opportunity to meet new people, or keep active.

By volunteering with us in one of our amazing retail spaces you will be raising essential funds for Oxfam – all whilst learning new skills and meeting some incredible people.

What you will be doing

• Undertaking shop related tasks agreed with the Manager, for example:
• Opening or closing the shop.
• Ensuring that the shop is ready to trade or cashing up at the end of trade
• Allocating tasks to members of the volunteer team.
• Selecting, sorting, and pricing donated stock.
• Chatting to customers, giving great service on the till.
• Researching valuable and vintage stock.
• Visual merchandising: creating eye-catching window and in-store displays.
• Photographing and listing items for the online shop.
• This role may include occasionally lifting boxes. We prioritise a safe working environment and provide comprehensive health and safety training to all volunteers.

We’re REMIX, a Shoreditch‑based social mobility charity on a mission to help young people rewrite the stories they’ve been handed and remix their lives with confidence, creativity, and community. This September, we’re launching something big — and we need a Graphic Designer with energy, imagination, and a love for bold youth culture to help bring it all to life.

This VOLUNTEER Role

We’re looking for a volunteer Graphic Designer who can help us shape the visual identity of our launch. You’ll create a set of key design assets that will help us show the world who we are and what we stand for. Think vibrant, street‑inspired, future‑leaning visuals that feel at home in Shoreditch — and speak directly to young people who are ready to rise.
