Job description

HELP US LAUNCH MINDSET — AND BUILD A HIGH‑PERFORMANCE LEARNING CULTURE FOR OUR VOLUNTEERS

We’re ideally seeking volunteers based in London, but we welcome passionate people from across England who can join virtually and help shape the future of a charity with huge potential.

We’re MINDSET Charity, a bold new start‑up in London on a mission to equip and empower men and boys with the tools they need for better mental health, stronger resilience and long‑term personal growth.

We’re building a stigma‑free movement — a space where men and boys can learn real, practical, non‑clinical skills that help them build better habits, better mindsets and better lives. From 1:1 Life Coaching, to 6‑ and 12‑week self‑improvement programmes, to school workshops for teenage boys, we’re creating something powerful.

And right now, we’re getting ready to launch — and we need a passionate and dedicated volunteer to become our first Learning & Development Coordinator who can build the training systems that make our volunteers exceptional, offering continuous improvement for the charity and also our volunteers.

YOUR IMPACT WILL BE HUGE

Joining MINDSET at this early stage means you’re not just “delivering training” — you’re building the learning culture that shapes every volunteer, every programme and every life we impact.

Your leadership will directly influence:

  • how skilled, confident and prepared our volunteers feel;

  • how strong and safe our programme delivery becomes;

  • how consistently we deliver high‑quality support;

  • how professional and trusted MINDSET becomes across London;

  • how effectively we grow, scale and develop our volunteer community.

This is your chance to help build a charity from the ground up — shaping its learning systems, its training culture and its future.

THE ROLE: LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (VOLUNTEER)

  1. A trainer.
  2. A developer.
  3. A champion for excellence, growth and good practice.

As our Learning & Development Coordinator, you’ll lead the design, delivery and ongoing development of MINDSET’s organisational training — ensuring every volunteer has the tools, skills, knowledge and confidence they need to excel in their roles.

You’ll build a positive, high‑performance continous learning culture rooted in:

  • growth mindsets;

  • shared values and behaviours;

  • positive habits and continuous improvement;

  • collaboration, confidence and competence;

  • excellence in practice and delivery.

You’ll also lead on our full Induction Training Programme, including sessions on:

  • Safeguarding;

  • Mental Health Awareness;

  • Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG);

  • Motivational Interviewing;

  • Coaching & Mentoring Skills;

  • Professional boundaries;

  • Good practice in charity work;

  • And more as we grow.

This role is perfect for someone who loves training, people development, programme design and helping volunteers become the best version of themselves.

WHAT YOU’LL HELP US BUILD

1. A High‑Quality Induction Training Programme

  • Designing structured induction pathways for all volunteers.

  • Delivering training sessions that are engaging, practical and impactful.

  • Ensuring volunteers understand safeguarding, boundaries and good practice.

  • Setting volunteers up for success from day one.

2. Ongoing Learning & Development

  • Creating continuous training opportunities across the charity.

  • Developing workshops, modules and learning resources.

  • Supporting volunteers to build skills, confidence and professional behaviours.

  • Embedding a culture of growth and improvement.

3. Volunteer Support & Capability Building

  • Helping volunteers feel confident, capable and prepared.

  • Providing guidance, feedback and development opportunities.

  • Supporting volunteers across coaching, mentoring, schools work and programmes.

  • Ensuring volunteers feel valued, supported and invested in.

4. Training Systems & Organisation

  • Building structured L&D processes and documentation.

  • Creating training calendars, learning pathways and development plans.

  • Ensuring training is consistent, organised and aligned with best practice.

  • Helping build systems future teams can rely on.

5. Giving Back to Volunteers

  • Helping volunteers grow their skills, confidence and mindset.

  • Creating opportunities for development and progression.

  • Making volunteering at MINDSET a genuinely life‑enhancing experience.

  • Ensuring volunteers become the best version of themselves.

WE’RE NOT JUST LOOKING FOR ANYONE

We’re especially interested in people who:

  • have experience in training, facilitation or learning & development;

  • love helping people grow, learn and excel;

  • bring structure, clarity and strong communication skills;

  • thrive on building programmes, systems and high‑performance cultures;

  • care deeply about men’s mental health, wellbeing and personal growth;

  • want to help build a charity from scratch;

  • believe volunteers deserve excellent training and support.

If you’re someone who loves developing people, shaping learning systems and building strong foundations — this is your moment.
