Key responsibilities:

• Identify and approach local high net worth individuals/businesses to approach for a regular donation
• Develop a donor relationship strategy aimed at maximising engagement and satisfaction.
• Personally reach out to existing donors to thank them for their contributions (& send seasonal cards/other personalised messages to maintain positive relationships).
• Build relationships by engaging with donors via phone calls and emails to understand their motivations for donating and gather feedback used to improve our efforts.
• Encourage previous donors to continue their support.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of all our donor interactions to ensure we have up-to-date information on our supporters.
• Create and distribute surveys to gain insights into our donors’ needs and expectations.
• Further down the line, host webinars or live Q&A sessions to answer donor questions and provide updates on our work.

How will I be ending homelessness?

As a Health & Wellbeing Support Volunteer, you will use your professional skills and experience to support Crisis members in accessing healthcare and overcoming some of the barriers that people experiencing homelessness can face when engaging with health services.  

You will also play a key role in supporting the delivery of health and wellbeing services at Skylight. By helping to organise activities, workshops and health-related events, maintaining accurate records, and building positive relationships with local healthcare providers and partner organisations, you will contribute to improving members' access to healthcare and opportunities that support their overall wellbeing. 

The role is varied and rewarding, combining administration, research, communication and event coordination. You may support the team by contacting healthcare organisations, gathering information about local services, assisting with referrals, helping to organise and facilitate health and wellbeing events, and ensuring staff and members have the information and resources they need to achieve positive outcomes and move towards ending homelessness. 

What will I be doing?

Tasks might include:

About the Volunteer Programme:

The HR Programme Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our flagship professional development initiative. This volunteering role is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of the HR programme, ensuring seamless coordination between participants, Heads of Department (HoDs), and stakeholders. Dementia Activity Coordinator

What You’ll Do

Bring joy and stimulation to people living with dementia by planning and running creative, engaging activities at our day care centre, that encourage connection, laughter and participation. You’ll us your skills and imagination to lead sessions centred around an activity area of your choice such as music, movement, theatre, storytelling, arts, cooking or gardening.

Can you spare 3 hours a week to make a difference to the lives of children? Home-Start Volunteers offer support, friendship and practical help to families.

We are looking for compassionate, non-judgemental and caring individuals to join our community of volunteers to share their parenting experiences and knowledge with families. Home-Start is one of the leading family support charities in the UK and Home-Start Warrington and Cheshire work in Northwich, Warrington and Winsford. Our volunteers provide a weekly, one-to-one home-visiting service. We help families from all backgrounds, with at least one child in the household under the age of 5 years, through their most challenging times.

Your role will be to offer support to a family you are matched with and support them in the way that they would like: this may include help with practical tasks such as getting out of the house, attending appointments, an extra pair of hands on a trip to the park or a playgroup, role-modelling how to play with children or helping to get organised. It could also involve empathising and supporting through emotional issues in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. All visits are a maximum of three hours, once per week and all take place Monday to Thursday, between 9am and 4pm (and only when our office is open).

Home Start also deliver targeted groups to support families, a place for families to connect, learn and play together. Volunteers support Home Start staff to deliver groups for families – from helping to set up/clear away, role-modelling playing with the children to parents and offering friendly emotional support to parents.

We will train you to Home Start Warrington and Cheshire standards of excellence. The training is free and is delivered by a combination of online modules and four, weekly, face to face sessions with one of our Family Support Coordinators.

Our next volunteer course of preparation is due to start in September. We offer the course in two locations - Warrington on Tuesday's or Winsford on Thursday's.

Volunteers will receive ongoing support and supervision from our Family Support Coordinators and there are opportunities for further training. Your experience, attributes and competencies will be recognised, and you will have the opportunity to develop them further.

Home-Start Warrington and Cheshire is committed to safer recruitment practise as an important part of safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable adults. Prison-based volunteers are the backbone of Fine Cell Work (FCW). Supported by the Fine Cell Work programmes team and by other staff at the FCW office, they teach and administer FCW stitching groups in prisons.

Prison volunteers work in teams to organise classes and teach our stitchers, as well as providing groups information to the prison and to the FCW office. The precise mix of skills will vary from prison to prison.

Volunteering in prison for Fine Cell Work requires ideally a good level of needlework skill (or a willingness to learn), some teaching experience and/or experience of working with socially-excluded groups. Volunteers must be patient and non-judgemental in order to work effectively. As a prison volunteer you will:

Volunteers work in prisons around the UK dependant on where groups are based, therefore it is requred that volunteers will be able to travel to the relevant prisons. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the charity.

As a Volunteer Peer Group Facilitator, you will play a key role in delivering our peer support groups. These groups run all around the county throughout the week. You will work alongside our team of peer support workers and other peer support volunteers.

There is some flexibility with volunteering opportunities ranging from a minimum of 2-3 hours weekly to monthly commitments.

There may also be the opportunity to attend different community events to advertise the service.

Help Us Keep REMIX Moving Fast as We Build and Launch Shoreditch’s New Youth Creativity & Social Mobility Charity

We’re REMIX — a start-up Shoreditch‑based social mobility charity empowering young people to remix their lives with confidence, creativity and real opportunities. We’re launching this September, and we’re looking for a high‑energy, organised, creative Executive Assistant / Launch Coordinator to support our CEO and help keep the whole operation running smoothly.

This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced, start‑up role. You’ll be right at the centre of the action — coordinating, organising, planning, and helping us build momentum as we push towards launch.

What This Role Is All About

As our Executive Assistant / Launch Coordinator, you’ll be the person who keeps everything flowing. You’ll support the CEO directly, help coordinate the team, manage schedules, organise launch tasks and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.

You’ll help us stay sharp, focused and moving forward at speed.

You’ll meet weekly at first as we build REMIX’s early systems, prepare for launch and create the energy we need to introduce ourselves to London.

What You’ll Be Doing at REMIX

You’ll help us run our launch operations, including:

• Supporting the CEO with day‑to‑day coordination and organisation

• Managing schedules, meetings, priorities and launch timelines

• Helping coordinate volunteers, creative teams and programme leads

• Keeping track of tasks, deadlines and moving parts

• Organising launch events, shoots, planning sessions and team meet‑ups

• Ensuring communication flows smoothly across the team

• Helping maintain momentum, clarity and structure during the build‑up to launch

Your work will help REMIX stay fast, focused and ready to empower young people from day one.
