Job description

Lead With Purpose — Become Our Chair‑person!

Volunteer Role | Lyonic Scots Society

Do you have a knack for guiding a team, keeping things organised, and bringing people together with a shared sense of purpose?

Fancy helping shape the future of a growing cultural society — no Scottish heritage required?

Then we’d love to meet you.

The Lyonic Scots Society is looking for a confident, friendly, and motivated Chair‑person to lead our committee and help us support the Clan Chief in promoting the Lyonic Scots far and wide.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Chairing our committee meetings with clarity, fairness, and a bit of good humour.

  • Helping steer the direction of the Society as we grow and evolve.

  • Making sure our projects and volunteers stay on track.

  • Working closely with the Clan Chief to support the Lyonic Scots vision.

  • Encouraging teamwork, communication, and a positive volunteer spirit.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone organised, approachable, and good at bringing people together.

  • Confident leading discussions and guiding a team.

  • Able to keep meetings productive and focused.

  • Passionate about helping a community thrive.

  • No need to be Scottish or have Scottish roots — just the right skills and enthusiasm.

What You’ll Get

  • A meaningful leadership role in a friendly, welcoming society.

  • The chance to shape the future of the Lyonic Scots.

  • Experience in committee leadership and community development.

  • A supportive team who’ll value your ideas and energy.

  • The satisfaction of helping a cultural tradition grow stronger.

If you’re ready to take the chair and help guide the Lyonic Scots Society into its next chapter, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Reach out and join us — your leadership could make all the difference.
