We’re looking for a kind, reliable and tech‑savvy Volunteer to take on the role of IT & Digital Manager (Volunteer) to help us set up the digital foundations of SUNSHINE — from our email systems and cloud platforms to device setup, security and digital tools.

This is one of our earliest volunteer roles — a chance to help shape the digital infrastructure of a charity that could change lives across London and beyond.

About the Volunteer Role: IT & Digital Manager (Volunteer)

As our IT & Digital Manager, you’ll work closely with our Founder & CEO to build SUNSHINE’s digital and IT systems from the ground up. You’ll help ensure our tools are simple, secure and ready to support volunteers, community activities and the charity’s early growth.

You don’t need decades of experience or a perfect CV. You just need to be organised, trustworthy, comfortable with digital tools and excited by the idea of helping build something meaningful from scratch.

You might help with:

• Setting up our email system and ensuring it’s secure and easy for volunteers to use.

• Choosing and configuring cloud‑based platforms for documents, collaboration and communication.

• Ensuring all SUNSHINE Charity devices are properly set up, protected and used only for charity purposes.

• Implementing basic cyber‑security measures to keep our people and data safe.

• Creating simple digital processes that make volunteering smoother and more accessible.

• Advising the Founder on digital tools that will help SUNSHINE grow.

• Bringing clarity, structure and kindness to our digital world.

We’re looking for a warm, organised and people‑focused Volunteer to join us as our first Community Manager to help us set up, develop and manage community activities, events and public engagement across London.

About the Volunteer Role: Community Manager

As our Community Manager, you’ll work closely with our Founder & CEO to create and deliver community activities that bring people together, spark friendships and reduce loneliness in real, human ways.

You’ll help us design and run our first community events — from small local gatherings to creative workshops — and you’ll lead SUNSHINE’s presence at public fairs, festivals and community celebrations.

Our Second Home is a youth movement that empowers migrants and refugees to flourish in the place that they call home. Our overnight activity camp for young people aged 14-18 is a chance for young people to come together and have five days of fun and excitement, supported by a dynamic and dedicated team of leaders and staff.

An OSH Leader is a supportive adult, a role model, and someone young people can feel safe being themselves around. It’s about creating a warm, fun, and consistent presence during residentials — helping young people with refugee and migrant backgrounds feel welcomed, included, and at home.

Youth Leaders for this project will be responsible for facilitating the camp, and will be directly in contact with, and responsible for, the participants. During the camp they will be ‘on duty’ full-time, meaning that they will spend the whole time with the participants, including at meals.

THIS ROLE IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN THE UK. We will arrange Zoom interviews with applicants separately.

Responsibilities:

• Interacting and forming a bond with the participants
• Creating and running fun and engaging activities for the participants
• Looking after the participants’ welfare, and ensuring that they feel cared for and secure
• Managing the participants’ behaviour and setting clear boundaries

Expectations and requirements:

• All applicants must be interviewed and be willing to provide references on request.
• Youth Leaders must set a positive example of behaviour and involvement for all participants, and adhere to the volunteer guidelines.
• Youth Leaders may be required to prepare activities for participants at the camp. If asked, this must be completed in plenty of time to allow any materials or equipment to be sourced.
• Applicants should be aged 20 or above.
• Applicants must be eligible for DBS clearance (no criminal record that prevents applicants from working with children)
• Youth Leaders must raise any safeguarding concerns swiftly and follow safeguarding procedures
• Youth Leaders must follow all Our Second Home policies and procedures of (which will be explained at the Camp training days).
• Anyone attending an OSH residential must test negative for COVID-19 prior to attending the programme, regardless of whether they have received a vaccine or not.

Essential skills:

• Flexibility, adaptability and ability to improvise
• Ability to build connection quickly with peers and young people
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• High level of organisation
• High levels of empathy and patience
• Awareness and sensitivity that some participants might be suffering from trauma

Additional desired skills:

• Experience working with and/or caring for young people aged 14-18

• Language skills: Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Tigrinya, Somali

Structure:

Youth Leaders will be supported by the Welfare Support Lead(s), who will be their main contact in the build to and throughout the camp. The Welfare Support Lead(s) will run team meetings at the end of each day and be on hand to advise and manage the Youth Leaders.

Join the Body & Soul team in our Children and Young People Programme to support young people from displaced communities. 

Across the UK, migrants, refugees, and people seeking asylum are facing increasingly difficult conditions due to increased hostility, threats, fear, and an increasing sense of a lack of belonging. The growing anti-immigration rhetoric is creating fear and heightened challenges for our members from those communities, who are trying to rebuild their lives while dealing with isolation, uncertainty, trauma, and HIV. 

In such times, it feels more important than ever to support these communities with a united approach. No one should feel unwelcomed, especially when they have endured repeated trauma, including but not limited to trafficking, war, and gender-based violence, alongside systematic injustice, poverty, insecure housing, racial discrimination, and stigma. Everyone should feel a strong sense of belonging, love, compassion, and community, and we hold that at our core. 

Our Life Beyond program offers therapeutic and community support to those with these experiences who have or are affected by HIV. Grounded in a deep cultural understanding of the lived experiences of our diverse community, our program equips members with the resources and support needed to navigate the dual challenges of living with HIV and being displaced in the UK. We offer a safe, non-judgemental community that nurtures belonging, resilience building, and mental and physical wellbeing.

Acknowledging the importance of a whole-family approach and early intervention, we offer our Children and Young People program. Here, we support those from displaced communities and young people navigating the impact of intergenerational and racial trauma. We aim to create an inviting space that reinforces their skills and strengths, supporting them to navigate their lives with a strong sense of self-identity, resilience, connections, and a sense of belonging. 

How do we do this? 

We run a creative, community-based programme to support children and young people facing complex challenges, including mental and physical health, family transitions, marginalization, and social isolation. These sessions involve, but are not limited to, arts, drama, physical activities, music, and much more, to foster resilience, life skills, personal identity, and social connection, both in-person and online.

Body & Soul is an organization dedicated to revolutionizing suicide prevention from the ground up, healing mind, body and soul within a therapeutic community that nurtures resilience, restores hope and liberates all from the grip of trauma and adversity. Our community provides people of all ages with a wide range of innovative and creative programmes that support physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.We have developed a ‘whole person’ model of care rooted in a strengths-based approach that nurtures connection, healing and growth.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach, and onboard affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and other supporters who can help expand the reach of the platform.

This role focuses on building a strong network of individuals and organisations who can introduce creators, promote campaigns, or otherwise support the growth of Influential Stars.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and networks

• Introduce individuals and organisations to the platform and explain how they can get involved

• Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates

• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers

• Encourage ongoing engagement and participation

• Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding

• Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system

• Represent the organisation professionally in all communications

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Experience in outreach, partnerships, business development, or relationship building

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C is a pioneering Podcast/Youtube Channel and healing membership organisation. We provide a platform for survivors and whistleblowers to share their lived experiences, highlight systemic frustrations and offer solutions rooted in culturally trauma-informed care.

Our membership offers young people and survivors a path to heal, learn digital skills and interactively participate in our Alchemic 369 Book Club, where members engage in weekly interactive discussions, debates and critical analysis of African, Caribbean and world history, Ifa, classics and political thought. Members will sharpen their reading, reasoning and imagination skills, with opportunities to discuss works directly with authors ,highly subsidised plant-based transformative retreats and join a community designed to empower and educate.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping us bring real-life stories and important social issues to life through compelling visual storytelling.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about using cutting-edge AI video technology to create meaningful content that educates, inspires, empowers, and emotionally connects with audiences. The Volunteer AI Video Producer will help produce approximately 30-minute AI-generated videos and shorter story-based content that align with our mission and message.

About the role:

The Volunteer AI Video Producer will be responsible for converting written story scripts into high-quality AI-generated video productions.

Working closely with our content and storytelling team, you will:

• Produce compelling AI-generated video stories from completed scripts.
• Select appropriate AI video platforms and tools to create the highest quality visual content.
• Develop visual concepts, scenes, transitions, and storytelling sequences that effectively communicate the emotions and messages within each script.
• Use AI-generated characters, cinematic scenes, UGC (User Generated Content) style videos, animations, stock footage, and creative visual assets where appropriate.
• Source and integrate suitable music, sound effects, voiceovers, and visual themes that enhance emotional impact.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, organised and supportive Volunteer Campaign, Creator and Activity Support Manager to oversee new registrations, support Creators from onboarding through to campaign completion, upload new experiences to the platform and assist with live campaigns.

This role focuses on ensuring new Creators and Collaborators receive a smooth, welcoming and professional experience, that experiences are accurately uploaded and maintained, and that live campaigns receive the support needed to run successfully.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new Creator and Collaborator registrations from initial application through to onboarding and next steps

• Review registration information, follow up where anything is missing and ensure records are kept up to date in the CRM

• Guide new Creators and Collaborators through the registration and onboarding process, including selecting their cause, campaign and experience where appropriate

• Arrange, support and conduct introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate.

• Upload new experiences to the Influential Stars platform, ensuring descriptions, pricing, links, images and key details are accurate

• Regularly review live experiences and update or remove listings where pricing, availability or exclusions have changed

• Send approved welcome emails, registration communications and onboarding information using existing templates

• Arrange and support introductory or campaign setup calls where appropriate

• Monitor and support all live campaigns on the platform

• Liaise with creators throughout the live campaign period to provide encouragement, guidance, and practical support

• Schedule, diarise, and send campaign communications using approved templates

• Coordinate with internal team members when campaigns go live

• Provide reminders, tips, and prompts to help creators maximise engagement

• Respond to creator enquiries and provide assistance as needed

• Conduct support calls where appropriate

• Maintain accurate records of communications and campaign progress using our CRM management system

• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong customer service experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence using computers and online systems

• Experience using a CRM or similar database system

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently

• Supportive, positive, and professional approach

• Reliable and proactive working style

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

• Experience uploading products, listings or content to a website or online platform

• Experience supporting clients, customers, or account holders

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. Chair of the Board of Trustees 

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of a respected and impactful organisation, guiding our strategic direction and supporting our mission to empower and strengthen communities across Lincolnshire. We are looking for an inspiring and values-driven individual to lead a committed Board of Trustees and work closely with the Chief Executive to ensure YMCA Lincolnshire remains ambitious in its vision, financially sustainable, and firmly rooted in its purpose and values.

Hours per week: Quarterly Board meetings that are held on weekdays, starting at 4pm and typically finishing at 6pm. Occasional Saturdays for strategic planning when required 9am - 2pm.

Women on the Frontline Ministries (WOFM) is a Christian charity supporting women affected by sexual exploitation, trauma, isolation, abuse and vulnerability through outreach, advocacy, practical support and relationship-based care.

For many years, WOFM has built trusted relationships within local communities across East London, working alongside churches, frontline organisations and partner agencies to provide compassionate, non-judgemental support to women facing complex challenges.

We are now seeking a values-driven and collaborative Volunteer Charity Manager to help lead the organisation into its next season of growth, sustainability and impact.

About the Role

The Volunteer Charity Manager will provide overall leadership, coordination and operational oversight for the charity, working closely with the Board of Trustees, staff team and volunteers to strengthen the delivery of WOFM’s mission and future development.

This is a varied leadership role combining strategic coordination, relationship management, community engagement and operational oversight within a grassroots charity environment.

The successful candidate will not be working alone. The organisation currently includes:

• a part-time Women’s Support Worker

• a part-time Social Media Lead

• a dedicated team of volunteer Outreach Assistants

The Board is seeking a self-starting individual who works well independently and is committed to supporting the successful candidate with a sustainable organisational structure as the charity continues to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operational Coordination

• Provide overall coordination and day-to-day leadership across the charity’s outreach programmes and activities

• Oversee the effective delivery of operational priorities, outreach services and community engagement initiatives

• Maintain and strengthen effective systems, administration and organisational processes

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers and trustees to ensure services are delivered safely, compassionately and effectively

Team Leadership & Volunteer Coordination

• Encourage, coordinate and develop staff and volunteers across the organisation

Safeguarding & Community Engagement

Partnerships & Representation

• Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, churches, local organisations and stakeholders

Governance, Sustainability & Development

• Work closely with the Chair and Board of Trustees to support the strategic direction of the organisation

• Prepare updates and reports for trustee meetings where required

• Help strengthen the long-term development and operational capacity of the charity

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and able to lead with empathy, wisdom and good judgement.

Time Commitment & Availability

This is a flexible volunteer leadership role of approximately 20 hours per week, which we are happy to shape around the right person’s other commitments. We would suggest thinking of it as roughly 4 hours a day across a typical working week but how those hours are arranged is genuinely negotiable, and we are open to discussing an arrangement that works for you.

The role is hybrid, combining:

• remote and flexible working from home

• attendance at outreach activities, particularly on Wednesday afternoons for daytime drop-in sessions and Friday evenings for evening outreach

• meetings and occasional events in East London (typically evenings and occasional weekends)

• trustee and board meetings on a regular scheduled cycle

Reasonable, pre-agreed out-of-pocket expenses actually incurred in carrying out the role (for example, travel) will be reimbursed. Ideally, we are seeking someone able to commit to the role for a minimum of 6 months to support continuity and sustainable growth.

Support & Future Development

The successful candidate will work alongside a committed Board of Trustees, staff team and volunteers who are passionate about the mission of the charity.

While this is currently a voluntary role, the Board is actively working to secure funding with the aim of creating paid leadership and operational roles in the future. We cannot guarantee if or when such funding will be confirmed, and any future paid appointment would be made through a fair and open recruitment process. That said, someone who grows with WOFM and comes to know the organisation well would be well placed to be considered as those opportunities arise.

The organisation is continuing to strengthen its operational foundations and develop sustainable structures to support long-term impact within the community.
