Can you help the Bristol Oxfam Online Shop raise money to support and empower some of the world’s most vulnerable communities?

We are looking for people with an eye for detail to help us research, prepare, photograph, describe and dispatch our homewares on Oxfam’s bespoke online shop. Our specialist online shop sells an eclectic range of clothing, accessories, books, music, film and homewares, sourced from our generous donors at Oxfam shops across the area.

We have had some very interesting homewares donations over the years, from antique postal scales to vintage bears and Wedgwood tea sets. If you know your homewares and can help us identify, price, list and photograph our stock your help will be invaluable! You will receive full training and support from our friendly and knowledgeable team.

What you can do at the shop:

We believe in empowering our volunteers so, depending on your interests and what you would like to get out of the role, you can get involved with any of the following aspects of running the online shop (and more!):

· Researching rare and valuable stock

· Selection, preparation and presentation of stock

· Photography and editing

· Creating accurate and engaging online listings

· Creating engaging content for the shop's social media platforms

· Packaging and dispatching items

As an Adventure Ambassador, you will act as the face of Adventures for Animals on our UK and overseas trips. Purpose of these volunteer roles

We are seeking 2–3 enthusiastic volunteers to help us clear a backlog of membership applications, process new applications, and maintain, manage, and optimise our Salesforce platform. To meet our needs, we are recruiting for two distinct volunteering roles based on level of Salesforce expertise:

Role 1: Data Entry & administration – Perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on database experience, or those who are passionate about data accuracy and enjoy structured, routine administrative tasks. You will focus on day-to-day data entry, updating member records, and maintaining high data accuracy.

Role 2: Salesforce optimisation & reports (experienced Salesforce specialist) – Designed for individuals with extensive Salesforce expertise. You will focus on building custom reports, creating dashboards, and optimising system workflows to improve efficiency.

Both roles are essential for ensuring our membership data is up-to-date and accurate, GNDR gets the most out of our Salesforce platform, and our global communications are impactful, targeted and relevant to our members.

What you will be doing

Data Entry & Administration:

• Process a backlog of existing membership applications and handle new member applications, ensuring details are accurately entered into Salesforce
• Assist in managing member groups, mailing lists, and automated workflows
• Monitor and maintain the data quality and integrity of member records
• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator and Regional Leads on membership administration and work plans
• Provide first-level support to internal users (e.g. fixing minor issues, updating records and correcting errors).

Salesforce Optimisation & Reports for Salesforce Experienced Volunteers:

• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator, Regional Leads, ED and consultant on optimising our use of the platform
• Create and customise reports and dashboards to track membership growth, event attendance, and member engagement
• Suggest and implement system and workflow improvements and optimise Salesforce use.

What we are looking for

• Communication skills: Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical team members
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy with a commitment to data quality and integrity
• Technical expertise: Confidence working with Google Workspace, spreadsheets and databases
• Data security: Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and cyber security best practice

What you will contribute

Administer holistic patient care to assigned patients and expect to care for both adults and children on a 20 bed open ward

Employ recent surgical experience in providing pre- and post-operative care to patients receiving maxillofacial, reconstructive plastic, general, obstetric fistula repair, gynecological or orthopedic surgery. Experience in one of these surgical specialties preferred

Partner with local Day Crew translators to provide culturally sensitive and compassionate care to patients

For This Role, You Will Need

Successful completion of Mercy Ships On Boarding program will be required for commitments of 12 months or more

Registered Nurse with active license in home country; a minimum two years’ experience needed after licensure

Recent acute inpatient surgical/medical/Emergency Room experience of at least two years full-time or three years part-time in the past 5 years AND at the point of application can show working 30 hours or more per week in any of these clinical areas within the past 12 months

Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) optional

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English

TVS is a small charity working with rural schools in South Africa to empower vulnerable young people through education. We are recruiting a team of volunteers and are searching for a volunteer events organiser to help plan and deliver fundraising events that will make a real difference for our beneficiaries.

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including securing venues, managing budgets, recruiting volunteers, and promoting events, while cultivating relationships with donors and stakeholders to maximize income. We would expect you to start small but build up to the creation of a sustainable funding stream on which the charity can rely.

If you’re experienced in event management and have the contacts needed to make events successful, we’d love to welcome you aboard. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a positive impact, gain valuable skills, and work with other volunteers to support the work of the charity.

Role Summary

The Financial Specialist supports Solution Community's financial infrastructure by maintaining accurate records, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance across financial processes. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented finance professional who thrives in structured systems, values transparency, and wants to contribute to a mission-driven global organization.

You will report to and work closely with the CFO, Finance Team, and Operations to ensure financial accuracy, audit readiness, and efficient workflows that support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Recordkeeping

• Maintain accurate financial records, including A/P, A/R, reimbursements, and expense tracking.

• Support monthly reconciliations across accounts, digital tools, and financial platforms.

• Organize and maintain digital financial documentation for audit readiness.

Budgeting & Reporting Support

• Assist with preparing budget drafts, forecasts, and spending summaries.

• Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and stakeholders.

• Track program and departmental spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Support adherence to nonprofit financial regulations, internal policies, and documentation standards.

• Assist with grant reporting requirements and donor financial documentation.

• Help maintain internal controls, approval workflows, and financial governance practices.

Process Improvement & Systems Support

• Contribute to the development and refinement of financial procedures, templates, and tools.

• Support the implementation of financial systems that improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial processes integrate smoothly with operations.

Qualifications

Required

• 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial operations.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Ability to work with financial tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms).

• Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a remote, digital environment.

• Integrity, confidentiality, and alignment with Solution Community’s mission and values.

Preferred

• Experience with nonprofit financial compliance (e.g., 501(c)(3) reporting, grant tracking).

• Familiarity with digital finance tools (e.g., Dext, Plooto, ApprovalMax, Expensify).

• Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, or financial clean-up projects.

What you will be doing

• Undertaking shop related tasks agreed with the Manager, for example:
• Selecting, sorting, and pricing donated stock.
• Researching valuable and vintage stock.
• Photographing and listing items for the online shop.
• Describing items for online listings.
• Preparing items for postage and dispatch .
• This role may include occasionally lifting boxes. We prioritise a safe working environment and provide comprehensive health and safety training to all volunteers.
