What you’ll be doing

As a Volunteer Wellbeing Coach, you’ll:

• Meet your client (initially with a staff member) to build trust and agree goals

Connection Support has a range of services providing support to people at risk of homelessness or on the edge of needing social care. We work with people made vulnerable through debt, mental health issues, substance misuse, learning disability, and physical disabilities.

Our Shop Volunteers raise money for the people we support with a Learning Disability. Do you have a few hours a week to spare and share your time with us?

Our retail roles are varied and fun. You could be sorting donations from the public, dressing our window or serving customers on the till. There are many people from different walks of life and it's a great way to get practical experience and to meet new people.

This role will take place on a weekly basis for a few hours We will try our best to be flexible around the best time for you, but also need to consider the store opening times and volunteer rota. It could be a weekday or weekend, morning or afternoon, our stores are usually open 7 days a week. We’d appreciate any time that you can spare.

Whilst in the store, you will help with activities based on the needs of the Store Manager.

Shirley High School is seeking trainee counsellors to join our established counselling service and support the wellbeing of young people within our vibrant, multicultural community. This is an excellent opportunity for trainees looking to gain clinical experience with children and adolescents in a supportive school environment.

• Trainee counsellors studying at Diploma level or above, already qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent).

• Review and help set competitive, sustainable hire rates for different rooms/spaces and time slots
• Create or improve hire packages (e.g. half-day/full-day rates, regular booking discounts, room set-up options)
• Help develop simple hire agreements, terms and conditions, and invoicing processes (with support from staff/trustees)
• Build relationships with regular or repeat hirers to encourage long-term bookings
• Identify opportunities for new income streams connected to venue hire (e.g. catering add-ons, equipment hire)
• Report progress and income performance to the management team/trustees on a regular basis.

This is a genuinely rewarding role. You'll use your real-world skills to help generate vital income that goes straight back into funding the services our community depends on. You'll have the freedom to be creative — developing hire packages, building relationships with local businesses, and finding new ways to fill our spaces and boost our income.

You won't be doing it alone. Our friendly staff and trustee team will support you every step of the way, and you'll have the flexibility to volunteer in a way that suits your schedule.

We’re ideally seeking volunteers from London, but we welcome passionate volunteers from across England who can join meetings virtually and help us build strong, safe and transparent financial foundations.

We’re MINDSET Charity, a bold new start‑up in London on a mission to equip and empower men and boys with the tools they need for better mental health, stronger resilience and long‑term personal growth.

We’re creating a stigma‑free movement — a space where men and boys can learn real, practical, non‑clinical skills that help them build better habits, better mindsets and better lives. From 1:1 Life Coaching, to 6‑ and 12‑week self‑improvement programmes, to school workshops for teenage boys, we’re building something powerful.

And right now, we’re getting ready to launch — and we need a Volunteer Treasurer to help us build the financial systems, controls and confidence that will underpin everything we do.

As our Treasurer, you’ll oversee MINDSET’s financial health and help us build strong, transparent systems from day one. You’ll guide the Board on financial decision‑making, ensure compliance with UK charity regulations, and help us grow responsibly and sustainably.

This role is ideal for someone with UK accounting or finance experience who wants to use their skills to make a meaningful difference.

WHAT YOU’LL HELP US BUILD

1. Financial Oversight

• Maintaining accurate financial records and accounts.

• Supporting the development of budgets, forecasts and financial plans.

• Advising the Board on financial strategy, sustainability and risk.

• Overseeing banking, payments, donations and financial controls.

2. Compliance & Governance

• Ensuring compliance with UK charity finance and reporting requirements.

• Supporting charity registration and financial documentation.

• Helping build systems that meet best practice standards.

• Preparing clear, simple financial reports for Trustee meetings.

3. Start‑Up Leadership

• Helping design financial systems suitable for a new charity.

• Bringing clarity, confidence and structure to our early operations.

• Supporting the Leadership Team with financial insight.

• Helping build the foundations that future teams will rely on.
