Help Us Design and Launch Our First Pilot Programmes

MINDSET is a brand‑new men’s wellbeing and personal growth charity — and we’re looking for a small group of thoughtful, committed volunteers to join our Programme Development Committee.

Our mission is to help men build resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier coping skills through practical, reflective, skills‑based support. To launch successfully, we need to design and deliver high‑quality pilot programmes that truly make a difference.

What the Programme Development Committee Will Do

We’re looking for volunteers who can help us:

• Design the structure and content of our first pilot programme(s)

• Develop practical, reflective, skills‑based session plans

• Shape the MINDSET Skills Framework and learning outcomes

The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, organised, and visionary Head of Programmes & Events to design and lead the foundation’s cultural and educational activities. This is a senior volunteer role ideal for someone who enjoys shaping meaningful public experiences, curating cultural content, and bringing ideas to life through events and programmes.

You will develop our programme strategy, design a diverse calendar of events and initiatives, and oversee their delivery with the support of volunteers and partner organisations. As we grow, you will build and lead a dedicated programmes and events team.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the cultural output of a new foundation from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the foundation’s global programmes and events strategy.

• Design a varied programme of cultural, educational, and community activities aligned with our mission.

• Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of events, workshops, exhibitions, talks, and public initiatives.

• Collaborate with artists, educators, cultural partners, and internal teams to create high‑quality programming.

• Establish processes, templates, and best‑practice frameworks for programme delivery.

Ucan Enfield Ambassador

What You’ll Do

As a UCAN Enfield Ambassador, you’ll play a key role in helping people find out about and engage with the UCAN project, which promotes healthy lifestyle changes through free exercise, nutrition and wellbeing sessions. You’ll help support sessions on the day and raise awareness in the community.

You will:

• Attend UCAN exercise or nutrition sessions to take the register and gather feedback from attendees
• Represent UCAN at community events or groups by helping to set up an information stall
• Talk to members of the public about UCAN and help them sign up
• Input register or sign-up data into the CRM system (training provided)

Skills You’ll Use or Develop

• Friendly, confident communication with the public
• Ability to use simple digital forms

Do you have a passion for the outdoors and personal experience of the benefits that physical activity, nature connection and being with others can have on a person’s wellbeing? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re excited to be recruiting for our next round of Volunteer Activity Leads with Flourish in Nature. This project aims to improve mental and physical wellbeing by encouraging people to (re)connect with nature and the world around them through in-house, peer/volunteer-led activities as well as outsourced activities from local providers. The project supports social inclusion, personal and community development, and boosts people’s sense of belonging and feelings of personal achievement.

These roles are ideally suited to people with lived experience of mental health or addiction recovery. Full training is provided, including recognised First Aid certificates. You would be joining a supportive, recovery focussed, community development team. Opportunities are also available to combine this role with ‘in-house’ activity support such as Flourish Recovery Cafes and creative groups.

Tasks you may be involve in:

· Promote Flourish in Nature activities

· Identify potential community activities

· Be a point of contact for community activity providers

· Risk assess group activities and complete risk assessment paperwork

· Attend activities in a position of responsibility, assessing whether it is safe

· for attendee’s to participate in the activity

· Alongside other Activity Lead Volunteers, run and supervise activities

· Identify and report any concerns, risks, or incidents to Community Development Leads or duty managers.

Role summary

St Helena co-works with the Look Good Feel Better charity by hosting and providing workshops to our patients with a cancer diagnosis. These workshops give practical advice and support to people living with cancer and who face emotionally challenging experiences while living with cancer.

Every workshop offers an invaluable opportunity to talk to others in a similar situation, whilst helping support people with their changing appearance. People leave LGFB workshops feeling empowered, motivated and less isolated – allowing them to look good but feel even better. Applicants will need to register on the LGFB volunteer site if successful and subject to their approval.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age and an enhanced adult & child DBS check will be carried out for this role. 

Main duties of the role

• Provide LGFB workshops in accordance with the complementary therapy policy and procedure, as well as the code of ethics and practice.

• Assess patients’ treatment and documentation of given treatment and patient response.

• Uphold the confidentiality guidance in all matters relating to the patient or their family. 

• Be generally aware of patients’ needs and always ensure the dignity of the patients.

• Maintain good infection control practices at all times

• Prepare the LGFB workshop before and tidy away afterwards

• Adhere to the dress code requirements.

• Seek support and advice when needed.

• Provide feedback, including reports of any adverse effects, to the Complementary Therapy Lead.

• To undertake any other tasks as requested/deemed appropriate with the nature of the role.

• Complete all paperwork and feedback clearly and objectively

• Adhere to relevant and current protocols for the practice of the LGFB workshops. 

Training & supervision

We will provide you with the LGFB registration links, and any training links they expect as stated on the website.

Other training includes:

• There will be an induction to the hospice and all volunteers must undertake mandatory health and safety and equality and diversity training. In addition, all volunteers in a patient facing role have to undergo an enhanced Adult & Child DBS check, undertake safeguarding, accessing personal information (medical record information) and lone working training

• To undertake an induction into the LGFB workshops and CT team

• To attend meetings/supervision

Experience & qualifications required

• You will need to be qualified and hold the appropriate certifications in the relevant practice:

                                  o L2/L3+ Beauty therapy (with facial skin care and makeup units)

                                  o Work for a cosmetic brand, and 1+ years’ hands on experience in skincare and make-up application.

• You will also need plenty of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and the true desire to make a difference.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about physical activity and community wellbeing.

Project Resilience provides easily accessible opportunities for our hostel residents to take part in a variety of social and sporting activities to boost overall health and wellbeing.

You will play a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles by delivering fun, inclusive, and accessible physical activity sessions for people of all ages and abilities.

We would welcome qualified instructors from a range of activities such as:

·Pilates

We are now seeking a new Chair of the Board to lead the next phase of the Association’s development.

This is a high-impact governance role for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about assessment, education and technology, and who enjoys working collaboratively to make a difference across a complex and evolving sector.

Why this role matters

The Chair plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction, influence and effectiveness of the eAA.

Working with a committed Board of Directors and a small, professional operational team, the Chair provides strategic leadership, ensures strong governance, and acts as an ambassador for the Association and its members.

The Chair of the eAA Limited also serves as Chair of the Board of e-Assessment Services Limited, the Association’s trading subsidiary, supporting the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

This is an opportunity to:

The role is supported by an annual honorarium of £6,000 in recognition of the time commitment and responsibility involved.

What you’ll be doing

As Chair, you will:

Provide strategic leadership

• Lead the Board in setting the strategic direction of the Association and monitoring progress against agreed objectives.
• Support the long-term sustainability, relevance and impact of the eAA.

Ensure strong governance

Ensure the Association operates within its governance framework and complies with all statutory and fiduciary duties.
Foster a positive, inclusive and professional Board culture that encourages open discussion, diverse perspectives and collective decision-making.
Work closely with the Vice-Chair and other Directors to maintain continuity and effective governance processes.
Support and challenge the Executive

• Provide support, guidance and constructive challenge to the CEO and operations team.
• Oversee performance against strategic and operational goals.
• Review budgets, management accounts and strategic plans in collaboration with the Treasurer and executive team.

Represent and advocate

• Act as an ambassador for the Association with members, partners, sponsors and external stakeholders.
• Represent the eAA at key events, including the e-Assessment International Conference and Awards.
• Use your networks and credibility to enhance the Association’s profile and influence.

Essential experience and attributes

• Senior leadership experience within assessment, education or educational technology.
• A strong understanding of assessment principles and the role of technology in transforming assessment practice.
• Demonstrated Board-level governance experience, ideally within a company limited by guarantee, charity or membership organisation.
• Excellent chairing and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead a diverse Board effectively.
• Strategic thinking, integrity and the confidence to provide constructive challenge.
• Strong communication and ambassadorial skills.

Desirable

• Experience of working in or alongside professional associations or member-led organisations.
• Established networks across education, assessment and technology sectors.
• Experience representing an organisation publicly at conferences or sector events.

The impact you will make:

By supporting local and national fundraising activity, you will help ensure that NCI stations can continue to operate effectively. Your contribution will directly support the volunteers on watch who provide a crucial extra set of eyes along the coast, helping to prevent incidents and assist emergency services when needed.

What you will be doing:

As a volunteer station supporter fundraiser, you will be involved in your stations fundraising activities, including:

• Attending local fundraising events and community activities organised by your station
• Manning stalls at events, shows, and public spaces
• Collecting, checking, and emptying donation boxes in agreed locations
• Assisting with simple fundraising initiatives organised by your local station
• Helping to promote NCI within the local community and encouraging public support

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience, confidence, and skills while supporting a coastal water safety charity. Would be beneficial to be located near to an NCI station, or reasonable travelling disctance from a station. Would need to hold a driving licence for travelling to and from events.
