Starfish is an international development charity aiming to bring life, hope and opportunity to children in South Africa who have been orphaned or made vulnerable through HIV/AIDS and poverty. Calling all animal lovers! We're looking for passionate volunteers to join Team Teckels at our charity shop in Stroud.

Teckels rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of vulnerable cats and dogs every year. Your support in our charity shop will make a massive impact on their lives, helping to raise valuable funds towards their care.

We have customer facing and non-customer facing roles available, so there is something to suit everyone. You could be welcoming customers, helping them with their purchases and putting sales through the till. Or helping out the back preparing donations ready for sale, merchandising, and making sure everything looks its best.

We welcome volunteers whenever the shop is open between 9am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday. Most volunteers do a morning 9am-1pm or afternoon 1pm-5pm shift, but we can be flexible to suit you and your other committments.

Food banks provide three-day emergency food parcels for people in crisis, working in partnership with organisations across the community. Drivers play a fundamental role in the running of the food bank, collecting food donations from a variety of locations such as supermarkets or churches across the local area as well as distributing the sorted donations from the warehouse to the local food bank centres. Terms of office

· Trustees are appointed for a 3 year term of office.

Availability:

We are looking for volunteers who would ideally like to donate 2-4 shifts per month, weekdays or weekends, either as a 10-1.30pm shift, or a 1.30-5pm shift, for a minimum of 3 months.
