About the role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Membership and Events Officer to join the Magistrates’ Association on a 12-month maternity cover basis.
This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting our membership, events and branch network. You will play a key part in ensuring our members receive a high-quality service, while also helping to strengthen and grow our local branch activity across England and Wales. This role sits within our small staff team.
Alongside managing membership processes with our third party support organisation, you will take a lead role in delivering small national events and supporting our network of volunteer-led branches. This includes working closely with branch officers, delivering inductions, and helping to reinvigorate areas where engagement is lower.
About you
You will be someone who enjoys working across multiple areas, is comfortable managing competing priorities, and takes a proactive approach to getting things done.
You will have experience in membership support and event delivery, and be confident working with volunteers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, particularly in relation to managing data and financial processes.
A working knowledge of Direct Debit (BACS) processes, including renewals and handling failed payments, is important for this role.
Most importantly, you will be someone who is approachable, practical and able to build strong working relationships, helping to support and strengthen our branch network.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

Job Summary for Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist
In our Services team we aim to deliver clear and accessible support offer for people affected by a bowel cancer diagnosis through a clinically focused ‘front door’ of services. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to deliver a strategy which will extend our reach to bowel cancer patients and establish referral routes from the NHS into our services.
As our Clinical Nurse Specialist you will work on the Charities Ask the Nurse Service alongside other specialist nurses. This is our service for patients to ask questions or concerns about bowel cancer. You will be responsible answering queries from those affected by bowel cancer and managing and developing the service.
You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure Bowel Cancer UK’s clinical focus meets the needs of those affected by bowel cancer and is up to date. You will also provide expert clinical advice, with guidance of the Clinical Lead, across all areas of Bowel Cancer UK - including health professional education, policy, communications and fundraising equipping them with timely health system and clinical information.

About Us
Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid have for over 45 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse?
The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.
Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.
We seek like-minded women to join our enthusiastic team of workers, all of us passionate about the vital and valuable work we do to support women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, and tackling the wider issues of violence against women and girls.
Key Responsibilities -
To assist the refuge manager in the day-to-day running of the refuge, developing and delivering a front line service offering support, advice and guidance to women and their children living in the refuge.
Experience Required -
Providing practical and emotional support to women and children affected by domestic violence
Offering advice and information and advocating for service users on a range of issues including homelessness, benefits, legal, social welfare issues etc.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with external agencies
Working within safeguarding guidelines to protect and promote the well-being of children and vulnerable adults

Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in East Berkshire.
Position: S11360 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Homebased, Reading and Wokingham. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week
Salary: Circa £19,400 per annum - FTE circa £28,340.58 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum/pro rata or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum/pro rata may be applied in accordance to where you live)
Contract: Permanent. Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until March 2031.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

The Engagement Development Executive plays a key operational support role in supporting the charity’s engagement development activity. The role ensures that information, reporting, and resources are accurate, current, and accessible, enabling the organisation to respond effectively to funding opportunities, partnerships, and engagement needs while clearly demonstrating impact for the families we support.
