Flourish Wellbeing Support is a Not-for-Profit bridging the gap between overstretched NHS services and high-cost private care. We are looking for qualified volunteer counsellors to join our remote team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver our suggested 4x weekly 1-to-1 online counselling sessions to clients who cannot afford private fees but face long waitlists.
• Work within a structured 15-session clinical model to provide meaningful, short-term support.
• Manage your own digital diary and caseload via our integrated, paperless counselling technology (handling bookings, notes, and encrypted video).
• Engage with a monthly peer supervision group (4 people) to share clinical insights and maintain standards.
• Our service is open from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday. Our counsellors can choose to work during any of these times. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for counsellors who believe that mental health support should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their income.

1. Professional Qualification & Registration 

The most important requirement is that you are a fully qualified, registered counsellor or psychotherapist (holding a Diploma or Degree in Counselling/Psychotherapy). You must hold current membership with a recognised professional body such as the BACP, UKCP, or NCS (Accredited). 

We will also require an enhanced DBS (or we can carry one out for you) and two professional references.

2. Clinical Experience with Complexity

Our ideal volunteer is a practitioner comfortable with a wide range of clinical presentations. We are looking for individuals who have experience in safely holding:

• Trauma
• Bereavement and Complex Grief
• Long-term Depression and Anxiety Experience in working within a short-term, structured framework (such as our 15-session model) is highly beneficial, as is the ability to conduct clinical assessments and manage risk within a remote setting.

3. Technical Literacy & Remote Readiness

As a 100% online service, our ideal volunteer is comfortable using (or learning) integrated counselling platforms for encrypted video sessions, digital note-taking, and diary management. You will need a private, confidential space to work from and a reliable internet connection to ensure the safety and continuity of the therapeutic relationship.

4. Professional Autonomy & Reliability

Because we offer sessions anytime between 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday, you can work across any of these hours and will be responsible for managing your own schedule and ensuring consistency for your clients.

From new businesses, to families, to councillors, many people need support. Local issues are often unique and more varied than national issues. Our volunteers from local areas are vital! They enable us to share our messages and campaigns in an effective way. Our network of committed local vegans across the country is growing! The Vegan Society organises various outreach activities to influence change in every level of society. Advocates are a crucial voice in their own community. They ensure that our campaign messages are spread far and wide. They provide a strong vegan presence in local communities.

What does the Advocate role involve?

Being an Advocate for veganism with The Vegan Society will mean communicating with people in your local community. You'll share the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. You will form part of a local group, headed up by a local Organiser. The Organiser will feed back your collective efforts to staff. You will also be invited to our private Facebook group, for vegan socialising and ideas sharing.

You’ll stay in touch with the Organiser and bring your passion to tasks. Activities can range from staffing a stall to giving a talk at an employee event. It could also mean writing to a local newspaper or lobbying an MP.

Messaging can differ every month. Part of our mission statement is to ensure people can remain vegan, so you might focus on getting more vegan options available in local businesses. Or within our Live Vegan for Less campaign, you may share cheap vegan recipes to help people with the cost of living.

When acting as an Advocate, you will use The Vegan Society’s branding and messaging guidelines. Your local Organiser will guide you in doing this, as they hold physical resources and handbooks. You can report any issues and feedback you have to your Organiser. You can also contact staff if your Organiser isn't available or you have any problems.

What training and support is available?

You will be provided with a big welcome and full induction from your local Organiser. They will introduce you to the group and any actions that are ongoing. Any training and development will be provided via your Organiser, and you can also ask for specific training on any areas that you need some development in.

How much time do I need to invest? 

For Advocates, we ask for people to engage in a minimum of four to six actions per year. An example of an action could be writing to an MP or holding a stall. But the more you can do, the better! On occasion, there may also be online meetings to plan for actions or provide training.

Young Lives Foundation are recruiting volunteer wellbeing mentors (living in Kent) to support young people through one-to-one mentoring. 
 
Their mentors provide consistent, positive support to a young person, helping them build confidence, resilience, and life skills. No formal qualifications are required, and full training, safeguarding checks, and ongoing support are provided.

Purpose of the Role 

The role of a trustee is to share the Board’s collective responsibility for the effective governance and leadership of the charity, setting our strategic direction and major policies in accordance with our objectives, vision, mission and values.

Epilepsy Action (registered as the British Epilepsy Association) is both a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. As such, trustees are both charity trustees and company directors and have the statutory and legal duties which these roles impose.

This is a voluntary (unpaid) role with a three-year term of office, renewable for up to two consecutive terms.

You need to be able to commit approximately 6–12 days per year, including: 

• Four Board meetings per annum, plus meeting preparation 

• Subcommittee meetings (if applicable) 

• Strategy days, training, and occasional events 

Meetings are a combination of hybrid and fully remote, with an annual in-person meeting in September in Leeds. Overnight accommodation will be booked for trustees and travelling expenses reimbursed for in–person meetings.

· Observe lessons via site visits or submitted video recordings throughout the semester.

Role: Head of Local Operations (Scotland & Northern Ireland)

Job Description:
Youth Advantage UK is seeking a volunteer Head of Local Operations to lead the launch and on-going delivery of its commissioned research projects in Scotland and Northern Ireland. The focus of these projects will be obtaining and analysing primary and secondary data in order to help smaller community organisations improve their ways of working and effectively report on their impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring their teams deliver these projects within the agreed time-scales and in line with the goals agreed with the commissioning organisations, growing Youth Advantage’s reputation and reach.

Working closely with the Departmental Director, the ideal candidate will use their prior experience to effectively contribute to the organisation’s ability to enable evidence-based, positive local change. As our Technical VR Advisor you'll act as a senior technical voice for the team, providing strategic technical guidance and sharing your experience rather than day-to-day management. Working alongside our Lead Developer and a motivated team of four software developers, you will have the opportunity to:

Product and strategy guidance:

• Advise on hardware decisions, particularly our upcoming transition to standalone VR headsets

Technical and development guidance:

• Advise on software architecture, tooling, and development practices for our Unity/C# VR application

• Familiarity with the VR hardware landscape, particularly standalone headsets (e.g. Meta Quest)
