About the Role
Job title: Interim part time Management Accountant
Duration: 6 months
Location: Horsham – office presence twice a month
Hours: Part time – 21 hours per week
Pay: £22.52 per hour holiday pay
As the Management Accountant, you will play a central part in providing accurate, timely and insightful financial information. You’ll have the autonomy to improve processes, manage key financial cycles, and support leaders with high-quality reporting.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will:
• Lead the month-end process, including adjustments, income postings and payroll journals
• Prepare and support management accounts, variance analysis, and updates to budgets and forecasts
• Provide financial information for leadership meetings
• Support cashflow forecasting
• Play a key role in the year-end process, liaising directly with external auditors
• Coordinate the implementation of audit recommendations
• Respond to financial and taxation queries, collaborating closely with senior finance colleagues
• Support VAT and Corporation Tax review requirements
• Maintain elements of the accounting system and act as cover for key finance tasks
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
• Full accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or be part-qualified with strong experience in a charity finance environment
• A solid understanding of charity financial reporting
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to problem-solve with confidence
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
• Attention to detail and a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset

I am recruiting s permanent, fully remote Finance Business Manager for a well known UK based Charity. Reporting into the Assistant Director of Finance, your role as the Finance Business Manager will be to provide leaders and managers with financial data and analysis, alongside providing support in order to equip Budget holders to make effective business decisions. You will also monitor key financial risks and opportunities through financial data, modelling and reporting in relation to period end, forecasting and budgeting.
Experience required includes:
- Minimum 2 years' experience working at managerial level within business partnering teams, supporting budget holders
- Costings and Tender applications
- Understanding of the voluntary sector and government funding
- System literate, ideally with experience of Dynamics 365
- Producing budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
- Line management experience
To be considered for the role you will be a CCAB qualified accountant, or working towards the qualification and be able to work in a changing and adaptable environment. You will have experience of supporting year-end as well as challenging budget holders and driving strong financial acumen.
This is a permanent role being offered on a remote basis (with travel to meetings circa twice a year). The salary bracket for the role is £39,642 to £53,570.
CPAG is seeking an AI Coordinator for a two-year fixed term to support our work in the responsible use of AI. In this role, you will lead on planning, delivering, and monitoring AI projects in collaboration with our partner organisations. This work involves the ongoing protection of CPAG's intellectual property and reputation as a sector leader. You’ll carry out regular evaluation of each project and regularly update stakeholders with performance metrics, user feedback, and impact assessments.
This new role also involves developing training materials and delivering sessions to upskill CPAG staff in AI technologies, with tailored materials for the needs of different teams. You will ‘own’ and maintain the relevant internal policy documents and processes for AI use and will oversee the use and optimisation of AI tools across the organisation. Alongside colleagues, you’ll manage risk and compliance (including legal and ethical standards) to ensure responsible AI adoption that is fully compatible with CPAG’s mission. You’ll monitor developments in AI, assessing new products for risk and opportunity, and share lessons learned across the charity.
We’re looking for someone with strong project coordination skills, experience of managing multiple stakeholders, and a keen interest in and experience of AI and emerging technologies.
