The Woodland Trust is looking for a Assistant Finance Manager to support and ensure all financial transactions are accurate.
The Role:
• Ensure all purchase and sales ledger transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
• Supervise credit control by processing daily payment receipts.
• Lead on bacs and expense payments.
• Assist the Finance Manager in revieing staff expenses, reporting, merchant platforms and testing finance system upgrades and introduction of new modules.
• Ensure the companies bank accounts are reconciled each month with all anomalies identified and corrected.
• Train and support team members to ensure targets are met.
• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average.
The Candidate:
• Experience working in financial accounting.
• Knowledge of AP/AR and bank reconciliations.
• Experience using and understanding complex accounting systems such as Unit 4 and work to make processes more efficient.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain new and existing relationships.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with advance skills in Excel.
• Experience leading and manging a team, developing and motivating team members.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict month and year end deadlines.
• Knowledge of how to persuade, influence and communicate effectively.
