Background

Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence is a company Limited by Guarantee which is registered with the Charity Commission (Registered Number 1077863).  The registered aims of the Charity are:

• to help relieve the suffering and distress of persons who have been raped or

sexually abused; and

• to advance the education of the public in the subject of rape and sexual

abuse and their effects.

The registered activities are:

• to promote the recovery of any adult or young person of any gender who has

experienced rape or sexual abuse at any point in their life; and 

• to offer one to one counselling, phone support, forensic medicals following

recent incidents, with or without police involvement, young people's service,

trust & support through court and criminal proceedings.

Purpose of the Job

The role is to provide a high quality, specialist service to victims of sexual violence including provision of one to one therapy for clients aged between 0 and 18. The role includes provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to the Therapy Service either through self-referral, or other external pathways.

To work within a multi-agency setting to provide an empathetic and pro-active support service to victims of historical sexual violence aged 0-17 and their families, within and outside of the criminal justice system, including pre-trial therapy.

This role is part of the Therapy Service which comprises of a team of Adult and Children’s Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.

Accountability

The Childrens Therapist will be line managed by The Therapy Delivery Manager. The post is part of a wider team at SV2 delivering a range of support services to victims of sexual violence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

General

• Deliver appropriate individual face to face or phone/online therapeutic services to victims (aged 0-18) of historical sexual violence or abuse at any point in their lives.

· To provide specialist counselling assessments and one to one therapy in line with the specific funded project

· To work with the whole SV2 therapy team to ensure smooth transition of client referrals into the service

· Maintain current and accurate records of clients and client interactions, and provide reports and information on clinical practice as required, in line with BACP guidelines, SV2 policies and Data Protection Act using agreed frameworks

· To contribute towards the Clinical Governance process within the service

· Undertake CPD as identified in annual appraisal and line management processes

· To support members of the team and sub-contracted therapists to deliver support groups to clients

· To offer ad hoc psychoeducational support sessions to the parent/carers of children receiving therapy within the Therapy Service

· To support the Therapy Delivery Manager by taking an active role in the Student Counsellor Placement Scheme including promotion, interviews, induction, mentoring and offering ongoing support to student placements and volunteers

· To work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Agency’s policies and procedures

• Monitor and record progress and outcomes for clients utilising SV2’s case management system, client support plan and other systems, as required
• Monitor, maintain, plan and prioritise own work and client caseload
• Liaise with other relevant external agencies in relation to the support of their clients
• Respond to safeguarding issues and liaise with staff in accordance with SV2’s safeguarding policies
• Provide information and reports for managers, as required

Professional

• To support and liaise closely with practitioners and professionals in SV2 and other external organisations

• Develop and maintain knowledge and skills relevant to this area of work which meets the needs of the Organisation, client group and sexual offences legislation

• Maintain confidentiality in line with SV2’s information governance policies
• Adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics adopted by SV2

Communication and Public Relations

• Raise awareness of services in line withSupporting Victims of Sexual Violence ’s Communications Strategy
• Ensure communication between agencies is effective
• Represent the service in a professional manner

Other duties

• Work within Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence Health & Safety Policy and take responsibility for personal Health & Safety
• Attend regular line management, clinical supervision, peer supervision, appraisal meetings and team meetings, as required
• To carry out any other responsibilities that reasonably fall within the scope of the post and to assist with any reasonable duty at the request of Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence ’s Senior Management Team

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support the goals of our mental health charity. Key Responsibilities:

• Promote awareness of our objectives and our work to relieve suffering and distress

• Prepare grant proposals and manage grant reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, business, public relations, or related field
• Certification, diploma, or similar qualification in fundraising
• Proven experience in fundraising (minimum of three-years), preferably within the mental health charity sector
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including having confidence in public speaking, and paying good attention to detail
• Ability to lead and motivate volunteers
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Customer service-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to making a positive impact

About Community Counselling:

The charity was established in 2013.  It provides free therapeutic interventions such as counselling, play and creative art therapy, and EMDR (trauma) treatment to vulnerable people living in North Yorkshire, including children who have been the victim of crime. The clinical team consists of over 30 part-time practitioners, being a mixture of staff, volunteers (including trainees) and sessional workers.  Last year we helped over 800 people with a wide range of mental health issues.

Your first-rate understanding of orchestral repertoire and a range of contexts and markets will enable you to devise compelling programmes and concert formats in response to and driven by themes which connect classical music with the world of today and meet box office targets. You will be sensitive to the needs of artists and composers, and experienced in working with conductors in creating programmes, whilst also maintaining in-the-round awareness of the complex jigsaw of sometimes competing priorities and restrictions into which any project has to be delivered.

Discovering new artists and musical voices will be something you are passionate about, as will be the shaping of contexts, formats and musical and cultural narratives to give artists the best chance of connecting with audiences. Your interests will extend to other musical genres, including orchestral music for film, television and games.

You will be curious about learning and education work, and non-main-stage activity, including digital and immersive projects, and will be thinking collaboratively and pro-actively about their relationship to performances on the concert stage.

You will play a key leadership role in the ongoing transformation of the organisation: ensuring the highest artistic standards based on the unique Philharmonia sound, whilst championing and developing an artistic strategy built around innovation.

As a member of the Exec Team, you will report to the Chief Executive. You will work in close partnership with the Concerts Director and team, and also have close working relationships with other members of the Exec Team, President, Vice President and the Philharmonia Orchestra Artistic Committee.

You will be a collaborative and inclusive leader who acts with integrity, and who can manage complex systems and personalities in line with Philharmonia’s vision, mission, and strategic aims.

Key information

  research artists and accompany the orchestra on international tours and engagements

Key responsibilities

Programming & artistic relationships

• Devise and implement the artistic strategy and programme of the Philharmonia Orchestra in close consultation with the Chief Executive, Principal Conductor and Exec Team colleagues

• Act as primary liaison to the Principal Conductor and other titled artists, discussing and agreeing programmes and projects

• Engage guest conductors and soloists for all Philharmonia own-promoted performances and engagements, including fee negotiations

• Identify and lead opportunities for commissioning and co-commissioning of new works, negotiating commission fees and contracts. Liaison with publishers

• Negotiate co-promotion deals with external partners such as Serious or Southbank Centre

• Liaise with conductors and touring partners to develop programmes for foreign touring, while

  considering market and budget limitations

• Initiate and develop non-standard orchestral projects, such as film with live orchestra, cross-artform or cross-genre collaborations, and performances at non-standard venues

• Develop suitable programmes for Philharmonia Residency venues, taking both box office and logistical considerations into account

• Handle artist and conductor cancellations and identifying suitable replacements. Liaising internally with other departments over all cancellations

• Develop repertoire ideas and ensure timely registration on clash-diary, with support from Concerts Manager

• Lead on chamber music programming, including liaison with players over proposals

• Research and identify future featured artists, composers and guest conductors proactively

Internal & external communications

• Represent the artistic programming function to senior staff, promoters, agents, donors, Board members and volunteers

• Collaborate with the Learning and Engagement department to integrate the performance programme with educational projects in the planning stage, including Artist in Residence programme

• Collaborate with the Development Department on programmed-led fundraising activities

• Be in regular contact with Marketing colleagues as artistic plans consolidate and confirm. Advise on narrative and proof-read key documents

• Act as artistic liaison with external partners as required

Budgeting, rehearsal & instrumentation planning

• Work with the Concerts Director and Managers to create project and season activity budgets, accurately forecasting expenditure and advising on box office targets

• Oversee the planning of rehearsals by Concerts Managers, seeking advice from members of the orchestra as necessary

• Agree special instruments, and relevant additional fees

Principal liaison with Southbank Centre

• Lead on the day-to-day relationship with Southbank Centre, both in terms of strategy and date requests as principal point of contact

• Keep SBC colleagues updated on future artistic plans, specifically identifying future projects which may be of interest to Southbank Centre to collaborate on, on a co-promotion or engagement basis

Orchestra liaison

• Lead the Artistic Committee discussions re future plans, and ideas around conductors and soloists • Work with the Concerts Assistants and Data & Insight Manager to issue periodic conductor and soloist survey, using results to inform future programming
• Be in regular contact with key orchestral personnel over suitability of repertoire if rehearsal time is  severely limited

Recordings & digital

• Lead on Philharmonia Records, developing and overseeing the recordings strategy
• Identify, and plan potential own-label recording projects
• Listen to recordings to assess suitability for release, and discussing in-house recordings with Artistic Committee
• Work with Immersive Producer on programmatic aspects of digital projects • Identify projects which could be digital first from the outset

Other

• Work with the CEO and Exec team colleagues on developing future business plan and strategies built around the Orchestra’s new mission, vision and values

• As a member of the Exec team represent the Orchestra in key operational and strategic relationships, as required

• Attend performances at Southbank Centre and at venues out of London and overseas, as required, in order to monitor artistic performance and quality

Required skills & experience

• Excellent track record of working in artistic planning or artist management (min 7-10 years)

• First-class knowledge of orchestral repertoire and artists, as well as the work of the Philharmonia

  Orchestra

• Demonstrable creative programming experience at an international level

• First-rate budgeting and financial management skills

• Demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset with a successful history of creating new projects

• Current experience of development of UK and international markets for orchestras

• First-class communications, influencing, and negotiation skills – and the ability to make the case

  effectively and enthusiastically

• A collaborative team player able to develop excellent working relationships across the organisation

• Flexible and positive attitude, as well as the ability to think laterally and creatively to overcome

Fundraising Assistant

Horatio’s Garden charity is looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual, with flair for communicating through the written word, to support our Trusts & Foundations fundraising. This is a fantastic role for a graduate or someone looking to start a career in the charitable sector. You will be given ongoing support, training and mentoring throughout the job. 

Horatio’s Garden is a growing, award winning, national charity improving the lives of people with spinal injuries by creating and nurturing outstanding garden projects in NHS spinal injury centres.

Trusts & Foundations is our largest income stream and we are looking to increase capacity in the team during a growth period for the charity.You will support our experienced Trusts & Foundations team to help meet, and exceed, our income targets and to provide fantastic support to our donors.You will also have the opportunity to spend half a day a week in our Salisbury garden assisting the Head Gardener and spending time with beneficiaries.

Main duties: 

1. Identify and research grant giving trusts and foundations to whom Horatio’s Garden is eligible to submit applications for funding. 
2. Proactively approach relevant trusts and foundations, where possible, to discuss potential applications before submission. 
3. Prepare and submit high quality applications for funding for a range of Horatio’s Garden projects.
4. Prepare and submit high quality, timely progress reports to grant givers, contributing to longer term relationship development with funders. 
5. Maintain the Trusts and Foundations pipeline to maximise supporter retention and income generation.
6. Identify and deliver opportunities to engage grant givers with Horatio’s Garden, through events and garden tours, to increase supporter engagement. 
7. Support the whole fundraising team with tasks where required.

General

1. Work with the gardens, arts programme and finance teams at Horatio’s Garden to understand the need for funding and the impact of Horatio’s Garden to maintain profitable relationships with supporters.

2. Ensure all contact and communications with supporters is recorded on our CRM database and on pipelines to enable continuity with supporters across the team.

3. Keep up to date with trends and developments in fundraising to identify opportunities for Horatio’s Garden to increase sustainable income.

4. Actively contribute to team and organisation meetings. 

5. Actively contribute to projects and activities across the organisation, supporting colleagues and volunteers where necessary.

6. Support the charity at events and be willing to help the team with other activities where required.This may require travel to our garden sites across the UK and overnight stays.

The Role

Working within the Church Buildings Team, the Church Buildings Officer will be responsible for:

• Managing, processing, and assisting with DAC casework (including formal DAC site visits), providing pre-application advice, project management support, and managing the consultation processes with amenity societies
• Making recommendations to the DAC committee as necessary and utilising delegated authority to progress cases outside of the committee structure
• Supporting the Head of Church Buildings in proactive projects to ensure the long-term sustainability of churches within the Diocese
• Assisting in providing information, training, and guidance for parishes in all aspects of managing their churches.

About You

You will embrace the challenge that such a varied role brings, with an organised approach, and the ability to navigate differing stakeholder views, finding pragmatic solutions under pressure.

With a strong understanding of conservation philosophy, legislation, and techniques, and experience in providing advice to building users on the care, alteration, and management of historic buildings, you will play a key role in this small and hard-working team of conservation professionals. Your ability to problem solve and mediate will ensure that you are able to support parishes in utilising their church buildings and that the best possible outcome is achieved in a timely manner.

You will be flexible in your working style, with confident communication skills, and excellent organisational and monitoring abilities, handling a number of complex schemes at once and managing relationships with colleagues throughout the heritage sector.

You will be from an architectural, surveying, or conservation officer background with strong knowledge of conservation techniques and philosophy. Ideally, you will have or be willing to work towards IHBC (Institute of Historic Building Conservation) accreditation. A keen eye for detail and the skills to manage stakeholders will be essential.

You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work here - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos that underpins our work. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.

The Organisation

The Diocese is the administrative area of the Church, broadly speaking, covers the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. There are 815 churches in the Diocese – more than any other diocese in the Church of England. Your new company

A large prestigious Local Authority is seeking an immediate experienced Events Officer to join an interesting and developing events team for a 6-month period, or longer.

Purpose of Post

To produce major outdoor events as part of an ambitious new Plan for the City of London, which is set to transform its attractiveness, and to build on its reputation as a destination that is fun, inclusive, sustainable, and welcoming. To deliver a high-quality and popular visitor experience that appeals to a diverse range of audiences within this context.
To support the Events Manager in planning, executing and establishing an annual programme of high impact 'must do' major events that are bold, popular, inclusive, sustainable and truly stand out in the national calendar.
To deliver value to defined audience groups, inviting people to share in the City's unique treasures and providing them with memorable opportunities to experience these through the events programme.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Undertake planning, coordination, production and stakeholder-relations duties for the major events programme.
• Manage internal approval processes, including required applications to Highways, Environmental Health, City Surveyor's and other internal teams.
• Coordinate production logistics, including infrastructure, power, cleansing and security.
• Support the Events Manager by ensuring compliance across licencing, health and safety and other areas; creating, collecting and processing relevant event documents supported by the role (e.g. risk assessment and method statements, public liability insurance certification etc).
• Support the Events Manager to programme and schedule major event content, contributing ideas, assessing timings in relation to the proposed calendar, and advising on logistics.
• Attend all events designated for the role and assume an event/stage manager function as appropriate, responding to any issues as they arise during the event (deferring to the Events Manager where necessary) and ensuring that the highest standards of production and visitor experience are maintained at all times.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure all relevant teams are aware of the events programme, there are no clashes with the wider organisation's events calendar and all relevant information is circulated internally and communicated effectively.
• Be the main point of contact for artists, event producers, production teams, agencies, suppliers and contractors regarding all event specifications and requirements.
• Support the Events Manager so that all events are delivered on time and to budget, updating budgets and records as required.

• Experience required

• Project management qualification or significant experience of managing event-based projects, ideally (but not essentially) within a cultural or tourism context.
• Training (or good level of experience) in compliance, to include licencing, health and safety, crowd management and/or traffic management.
• Experience of managing cultural events, ideally in an outdoor context. .

• The ability to multitask, prioritise and manage multiple events and projects against challenging deadlines.
• Proven event and stage management skills with demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events
• A well-organised and methodical approach to event planning and delivery.
• The ability to think on your feet; to crisis manage and take corrective action at events if required.
• Demonstrable ability to work closely / communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to discuss detailed arrangements for events and form successful working relationships with people at all levels.
• A demonstrable interest in the culture, the creative industries and/or public events.

Working hours: 35 hours p/w (Mon-Fri); occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work at events will be required with TOIL offered in return.

The purpose of the Roma Outreach Worker role is to deliver an effective service to single people who are currently rough sleeping. This post will actively support Roma clients, providing a continued and consistent point of contact whilst assisting them in navigating the various change pathways available to them.

To be considered for the role of Roma Outreach Worker, you will have:

- Able to speak Romani or Romanian fluently or to a high level.
- Full and clean UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of the Roma communities.
- Experience of working within the homelessness or social care sector.
- Have a creative, solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data management.
- Knowledge of current drug and alcohol provision and relevant services, pathways and conditions.
- Emotional resilience to deal with challenging behaviour and to facilitate ongoing constructive engagement.
- Solid IT skills with the ability to record sound and accurate records in a timely fashion on IT applications such as CHAIN and Inform.

 Role Overview:

The Community Development team deliver a range of programmes to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities. This post will work both internally across Enable and externally within our communities to raise funds to support our programmes.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Lead on bid writing and applications for Community Development/across organisation, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met
