SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.
We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. In this role you will provide confidential emotional support by telephone, email and text, as well supporting our skilled volunteers through their development and during their weekly shifts.
This role provides valuable practical experience in providing emotional support to vulnerable people. Working within SANE support services requires a high level of empathy and emotional resilience as well as excellent communication skills. SANE takes take pride in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for both our staff and volunteers. Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with counselling, psychology or therapy qualifications or any other therapeutic disciplines who are committed to providing compassionate mental health support.
Hours: 2 to 3 days per week, a mix of afternoon-to-evening shifts & occasional weekend work to cover our 7-day service, with working hours of 2.30-10.30pm. All work is conducted on-site at SANE’s London office.
Starting Salary: £15.46 per hour

About the role

About You
You are organised, proactive and experienced in delivering successful direct marketing campaigns across channels such as direct mail and email. With excellent planning and project management skills, you can manage multiple campaigns from concept to completion, working collaboratively with colleagues, agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
You have strong analytical and numerical skills, enjoy working with data and databases, and use campaign insights to drive continuous improvement. Comfortable using Excel, Word and CRM or database systems, you're confident managing campaign data, monitoring performance and identifying opportunities to improve supporter engagement and response.
An excellent communicator, you have strong written skills and experience writing and editing compelling email and campaign copy. Welcare is recruiting a qualified and experienced Family Support Worker to provide focused 1-1 and group family support for families with children and young people aged 0-19 years old (up to 25 years for young adults with additional needs). Experience and Knowledge
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic leader with a strong background in asset management within social housing or a similar sector. You will bring significant senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-performing, customer-focused asset management, repairs, and maintenance services that achieve excellent value for money. A recognised professional qualification (MCIOB or CIH Level 4/5, or willingness to work towards Chartered status) and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential.
You will have a deep understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to housing, alongside strong expertise in welfare benefits and their impact on residents and service delivery. Experience in leading change, implementing best practice, and driving continuous improvement is key, as is your ability to manage contracts, budgets, and performance to meet organisational targets. You’ll also bring strong financial acumen and experience of delivering against KPIs in a complex, fast-paced environment.
As a leader, you will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and decision-making skills, able to use data and insight to inform direction and performance. ABOUT THE ROLE
Start Network has an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships Engagement Officer to join our growing Resource Mobilisation team. The role supports donor engagement and income growth, working with trusts, foundations and corporate funders to build strong, long term relationships through high quality stewardship, communications and engagement.
You will support the management of existing and new donor relationships, contribute to proposals and reporting, research and cultivate new funding opportunities, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver clear and compelling donor communications.
