Business Development Lead (Part-Time)

Greener and Cleaner is a community-led charity based in Bromley, supporting residents and organisations to take practical action on climate change and sustainable living.

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to help us grow a sustainable, non-grant income stream over an 18-month programme.

Building on our existing partnerships, outreach and corporate services, you’ll help shape a clear and commercially viable offer for organisations, packaging activity such as workshops, training and engagement programmes into something that can be delivered at scale.

This is a unique opportunity to combine purpose-led work with commercial thinking, helping organisations engage with sustainability in a meaningful and practical way.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

We are now recruiting the team that will deliver Crisis at Christmas 2026. This unique project mobilises a huge volunteering effort to provide warmth, companionship and vital services in temporary centres across London to people facing homelessness.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 9 September 2026 to 29 January 2027

Salary: £31,354 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week (some rota’d working to cover weekends and bank holidays over Christmas period)

About the role

As Project Assistant in the Volunteering Team, you will play a proactive role in supporting the recruitment and management of Crisis at Christmas volunteers. This is a great entry-level opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive team making a real difference. Acting as the first point of contact for all volunteer enquiries, you will ensure an equitable and inclusive experience for every applicant by processing volunteer applications and confidential data with care and diligence, and by conducting essential safety checks to make sure our volunteers are suitable.

We’re looking for someone who brings bold ideas and a positive attitude, is comfortable working with people from all backgrounds, and wants to help create an impactful volunteering experience. When our project goes live, you’ll also play a key role in running our friendly volunteer helpline—helping people feel supported and ready to make a difference.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have…

• Experience of customer service and be comfortable answering high volumes of volunteer enquiries on the phone and via email in a professional and friendly manner
• Excellent spoken and written skills to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of audiences. 
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• A positive and proactive mindset, coupled with a strong willingness to contribute and support the success of the project. 

You may have experience in a busy customer service or call centre environment or experience in events or working on busy projects. You should have an interest in the charity or homelessness sector and a commitment to Crisis’ purpose and values.

As an Intervention Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Highbury Approved Premises. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

The role in Approved Premises (AP) involves supporting high-risk individuals transitioning from prison back into the community. Staff work closely with residents, providing guidance, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them build independence while maintaining a structured environment. Responsibilities include preparing meals, supporting rehabilitation plans in collaboration with probation and external agencies, and ensuring residents follow rules such as curfews and drug/alcohol testing. Staff are also expected to assist in running and documenting activities, completing daily tasks, and keeping the premises safe, clean, and secure through regular checks and communication. A key aspect of the role is empowering residents to take responsibility for their own lives, without doing things for them, while providing support and supervision as needed. Staff must adhere to Hestia's policies and the Ministry of Justice's guidelines. 

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. About the role

As a Children’s Domestic Violence Advocate (CHIDVA), you will safeguard and support children and young people affected by domestic abuse across the Continuum of Need, including Child Protection. You will deliver child-centred 1:1 and group interventions, complete child-focused risk assessments and safety plans, and ensure children and young people’s voices shape the support they receive. Working with partner agencies (including through MARAC), you will contribute to coordinated responses that improve safety, wellbeing and long-term resilience.

Founded in 2012, Bristol Avon Rivers Trust works across the Bristol Avon catchment to restore rivers for wildlife, people and the local economy.

About the Role

Help shape the future Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART).

This is much more than a fundraising role.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

• Develop and implement BART's Fundraising and Philanthropy Strategy.

This brand-new, exciting role at War Child will provide crucial administrative and operational support to the Ambassador & Advocate team, helping the team to manage high-profile relationships and deliver Ambassador and high-profile events effectively.

The role will have a focus on supporting event delivery connected to Ambassador engagement at War Child, playing a key part in the planning and execution of events such as ‘Most Wanted’ and War Child’s annual flagship gala, the Wassail. The role

As Assistant Head of Fundraising (Public Fundraising), you will lead and inspire a team of talented fundraisers, deputising for the Head of Fundraising and taking ownership of our most ambitious programmes:

The 10,000 Homes Fund driving forward our flagship proposition across individual giving, cash appeals and mid-level audiences.

Major Donors shaping the strategy for high-net-worth relationships, new giving circles and development boards.

RoomSponsor, YMCA’s flagship regular giving product, now in its third year of an ambitious growth strategy. You will oversee a unique partnership model across 45 local YMCAs, support the income distribution process, and see first-hand the impact of your work through a programme that directly supports young people with safe accommodation.

Legacies working with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising to define and grow what is set to become a landmark legacy programme.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set direction, manage budgets, develop your team, while also being prepared to step into delivery when it matters most. You will balance strategic oversight with practical execution, ensuring programmes are both ambitious and deliverable.

About you

You are an experienced public fundraising professional with a strong track record in individual giving or direct marketing, alongside a well-developed understanding of major donor fundraising. You know how to bring different disciplines together behind a single proposition and deliver results.

You are an effective and confident leader, able to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams. You create clarity, set high standards, and support others to do their best work, stepping in when needed and leading from the front.

You are at your best when driving a clear proposition forward. You are excited by the opportunity to take a compelling idea and translate it into something that engages the public, inspires generosity and delivers sustainable income.

You are energised by a challenge, comfortable with complexity and working in a federated environment, where success depends on strong relationships and shared ownership. You are skilled at working with partners, whether agencies, internal stakeholders or local YMCAs, and know how to align people around a common goal.

You combine strategic thinking with operational delivery. You are data-driven, using insight and performance to shape your decisions, and confident working with (and occasionally building) financial models to plan, test and scale activity. You bring both creativity and discipline, generating new ideas while ensuring they are grounded, deliverable and effective.

Above all, you are a strong communicator and influencer. You can simplify complex ideas into clear, compelling messages, build confidence with colleagues and stakeholders, and position fundraising as a critical enabler of impact.
