This role is an essential leadership role in Overcoming MS, working as a key member of a small Senior Leadership Team, in partnership with the Chief Executive and Director of Services. The Director of Fundraising & Communications is responsible for driving income generation, strengthening the charity’s profile, and embedding marketing and digital excellence across all areas of work.
Job summary:
You will set both strategic direction and deliver hands-on activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, digital platforms, and supporter engagement. You will develop integrated strategies that maximise limited resources, grow sustainable income, amplify our impact and ensure the charity communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
You will lead a small team of fundraisers, marketeers and communicators to deliver to our current organisational plans, whilst developing longer term plans to extend our reach and our income base. You will work proactively and independently to build relationships, develop innovative campaigns and provide the support that enables our service delivery to function.
You will be expected to provide a high standard and quality of impact across a range of activities and projects, being fully aware of and upholding the charity’s values, and taking responsibility for modelling these to others across the organisation and to the wider community.
Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic & organisational leadership
- Lead the development and delivery of an integrated fundraising, communications, and digital strategy aligned with the charity’s mission and growth ambitions.

2. Fundraising leadership

- Lead Overcoming MS’s communication strategy to significantly grow visibility, engagement and trust, with everyone affected by MS, the Overcoming MS community, donors and fundraisers, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure digital and communication tools, channels, systems and platforms underpin and are able to maximise opportunities for all fundraising, communications, and operational activity.
- Use communication and marketing techniques to amplify the impact of our services and increase our reach, ensuring maximum take up.
- Oversee the charity’s website, ensuring strong user experience, accessibility, SEO performance, and conversion optimisation.
- Oversee production of high-quality, tailored content for digital, print, and social channels.
- Oversee digital supporter acquisition and retention: paid ads, email marketing, marketing automation, and analytics.
5. Campaigns & public engagement
- Lead fundraising, awareness and media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Use data, insights, and analytics to optimise campaign performance and supporter engagement.

- Provide regular performance reports to the CEO and Board, including financial updates, campaign metrics, and risk management.

Job summary:
The Head of Communications, Marketing & Digital is responsible for shaping, delivering, and evaluating the charity’s communications, brand, digital engagement, and marketing activity.

The Organisation
The Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), hosted by Meliore Foundation and funded by philanthropy, is a network of communications professionals in the fields of climate, energy, and nature. A collaborative network in over 20 countries, across 6 continents, GSCC covers themes including climate science and impacts, food and nature, finance and economics, energy, transport, industry, and multilateral climate processes.
With a focus on media debate and public discourse at the global level, and in major economies across Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and the Americas, GSCC supports partners in a variety of sectors and geographies via unbranded strategic communications strategies to support the goals encapsulated by the Paris Agreement.
Decarbonising the built environment is among the most urgent and under-communicated climate imperatives but is often framed as costly, bureaucratic, or politically challenging. To address this, GSCC is establishing a dedicated Built Environment Strategic Communications Hub, within the broader GSCC network. The hub will bring together strategic communications expertise and campaign delivery to support the transition to near-zero and resilient buildings.

The Role
Reporting to GSCC’s global Network Director, this role provides vision, leadership and direction to a new global initiative dedicated to accelerating the decarbonisation of buildings. While the initial focus is Europe and India, the role is explicitly designed to scale into a truly global function, requiring a leader with a strong international outlook and experience. The Hub's initial strategy will focus on key countries including United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, and India, working in close collaboration with partners to create public demand, political will, and market momentum for action.
Your purpose is to establish the Hub as the leading strategic communications resource on the built environment, translating technical building decarbonisation agendas into compelling stories that resonate with the public, policymakers, and markets. You will:
- Shape and implement the overall vision and strategy of the Hub.
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing, cross-cultural team of up to 7 communications professionals in the initial phase, fostering strong collaboration across countries, disciplines, and political contexts.

Skills Required

The role requires a proven ability to build trust, alignment, and performance across culturally diverse teams and partners, operating across multiple political, institutional, and media contexts.
The strategic communications campaigns you have designed and delivered have influenced public or political debate at national or international level and you have strong geopolitical knowledge and networks in at least one of GSCC’s key UK/Europe locations. You also bring:
- Leadership of campaigns, media, and digital teams across European geographies, with experience collaborating across global markets.
- Strong geopolitical nous and political strategy expertise to influence change.
- Budget management (€1M min), compliance, and reporting experience.

The Information Manager is a pivotal senior role within The Migraine Trust—responsible for shaping and developing all health information produced by the organisation. The Officer is part of the Science Communications Team, which inspires and informs the public, donors and researchers about dementia research, the progress being made, wider developments in the field and the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) funding.
The postholder plays a vital role in helping tell the story and scientific narrative of ARUK to a variety of audiences, cementing the charity’s role as a leading authority on dementia research in the UK and globally. Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA.
This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving:
- An active funding partner
- An independent evaluation team
- 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed)
- Internal delivery teams and cross organisational services
- Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts
The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.
This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.
You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.
You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
- Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
- Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.
- Work with internal Kinship teams to ensure everyone has clear expectations and is held to account for their performance during mobilisation and delivery – owning the workstreams.

Ensure weekly pipeline monitoring for treatment and control recruitment.

Work with the Programmes Manager and Kinship Family Workers to strengthen referral and screening processes where appropriate.

Identify recruitment risks early and drive rapid problem-solving.

Maintain delivery tracking and operational dashboards.

Identify throughput or workload risks and support adjustments.

Lead operational quality assurance (QA) including data quality checks, file audits and process compliance.

Coordinate data collection, monitoring and data quality for evaluator requirements (both treatment and control).
Essential knowledge and experience includes:

Project Management Qualification or commensurate experience.

Significant experience managing complex projects or programmes with multiple partners and tight delivery requirements.

Proven experience designing and maintaining structured workflows, operational systems and project plans in fast-paced environments.

We are seeking a Communications and Content Editor to support our communications output across multiple channels, including production of the SLA’s flagship publication, The School Librarian. This new role will be pivotal to elevating our publication, and supporting strong narratives across our communications.This is a hands on role, with an opportunity to help shape our communications and TSL as we approach the SLA’s ninetieth year in 2027.
You will be an experienced editor and content creator. Creative and with a strong eye for detail, you will be confident in overseeing the publications process, alongside copy-editing, proofing and commissioning content and associated administration. You will enjoy opportunities to apply your creative skills to creating interesting and engaging content to support our outputs. As we develop new ways of working, your insight and ideas will help support new activity. You will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and happy to get stuck in as needed. Areas of work include managing production of The School Librarian journal which publishes three times per year, developing a strong understanding of the TSL audience, its circulation and readership figures to inform content development and identify opportunities to attract new subscribers. You will also contribute to digital communication and content strategy across the organisation, helping to determine the best platforms or channels for a variety of content types. While leading on TSL, you will also support content creation for our newsletters, website and social media, working with the Publicity and Partnerships Manager to determine the most appropriate format for different stories, features or news items.
The salary for this position is £24, 324.32 per anum (based on FTE £30,000) for 30 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

Role Summary:
Whilst Futures For All has been fundraising for all of our 15 year history, we are now at a point in which increasing voluntary income and diversifying our charitable income streams is vital to the charity’s long-term success. The new role of Director of Fundraising took up management of the team in 2024, and is now in the process of building a bigger and brighter team to support increasing income over the next few years.
The Senior Fundraising Manager – Trust and Philanthropy will play a pivotal role in raising funds from grantmaking trusts and HNWIs (philanthropists) towards the work of Futures For All. They will go beyond simply writing applications and reports, to build relationships with prospects and donors, ensuring that each are guided through the solicitation cycle towards maximising their grant to the charity. They will work closely with colleagues, volunteers and leadership to ensure each prospect/donor is engaged appropriately and accurate information is provided in a timely manner. They will also support the overall function of the Fundraising team, supporting other forms of fundraising. They will build relationships with prospects and donors, ensuring that each are guided through the solicitation cycle towards making major donations.

- Collaboration – working with colleagues, Ambassadors and Trustees to engage potential supporters, attend events and solicit donations.

Engagement
- Stewardship – work closely with the Donor Relations Manager to ensure all trust donors are stewarded effectively.
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers and leadership – ensuring you have an expert knowledge of the work of Speakers for Schools and can communicate it passionately and accurately to prospects and donors.
Delivery
- Events – utilise and support fundraising events to create a culture of giving and fundraising within Futures For All. Working alongside the Events Co-ordinator to identify attendees and shape engagement events.
- Data and reporting – ensure information on donors is correctly recorded in Salesforce, and supporting KPI and other reports created by the Director of Fundraising.
- Other duties – supporting the work of the Fundraising team and wider organisation as required.
