PROGRAMME DELIVERY

• Programme Delivery: Plan and deliver activities, opportunities and events for young people in line with programme objectives, processes and guidance.

• Programme Content: support and contribute to the development/review of programme content, resources and communications such as newsletters.

• Impact and evaluation: Support the collection of monitoring and evaluation data, facilitating evaluation activities within training sessions and events as required; contribute to ongoing processes of programme learning and review as a member of the delivery team.

• EDI: Work with the Programme Manager to ensure that Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion are embedded in the process of programme development and curriculum design, including learning styles and accessibility.

We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Contracts Officer to join our team in Kings Cross. Working across almost all London Boroughs, we strive to provide a warm, safe home, from which our residents can begin their recovery, and our Maintenance Contract Officer plays a vital role in managing our contracted services effectively to enable this. About the role:

As a Maintenance Contracts Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring our contracted suppliers provide high quality, reliable services to our supported housing schemes, to ensure clients have safe, good quality accommodation they can call home.

In your role, you will lead on tender and procurement processes to secure contracts with suppliers that deliver reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality services. You will be responsible for ensuring all contracted suppliers hold relevant qualifications, health and safety and, insurance requirements at the point of tender and throughout the contract period.

You will work with the wider maintenance team to respond to queries from our supported housing colleagues related to contracted services.

• You’ll bring experience of contract administration and monitoring the performance of contracted suppliers, with the ability to implement and manage supplier performance improvement plans.

The role:

Housing Officers work within PBHA’s Housing Team to provide a quality housing management service to tenants with additional tenancy sustainment needs. Post holders will work from PBHA’s main office in Haggerston, with access to local offices where appropriate. However, most of the work will be in tenants’ homes in the community. The post holder will be issued the IT equipment necessary to facilitate mobile working.

Aims of the post

Housing Officers work with vulnerable tenants to enable them to sustain their tenancy and participate in their community.

Specific Responsibilities

• To be responsible for working a caseload of tenants within a locality.

• Identifying individual tenancy needs through assessment and an identified Housing Plan detailing risks, needs and move on plans.

• Regular contact with tenants as per plan.

• Provide a weekly housing management drop in at PBHA’s hubs.

• Ensure that tenants apply for benefits where eligible, and signpost tenants to information on how to maximise income

• Record and monitor any breaches of tenancy agreement and work proactively and within procedures to resolve them.

• Liaise with housing officers, the finance and adult learning departments to provide effective prevention and management of rent issues, escalating where necessary in accordance with arrears policy and standard operating procedures.

• Liaise with colleagues to ensure void targets are met and properties are let within agreed timescale.

• Assist in the moving in/out process.

• Ensure tenants understand their rights and responsibilities in their occupancy agreements.

• Deal with complaints, nuisance and tenancy disputes as they arise. Work with tenants to promote self-help and mediation approaches to dispute resolution and address and escalate in line with procedure.

• Inspect and order furniture, assisting tenants where they are able to do so.

• Recharge former tenants where applicable.

• Carry out regular building inspections, helping tenants to report repairs.

• Take pride in PBHA’s property and assets and encourage tenants to do so.

• Enforce the conditions of tenancy that enable PBHA to undertake urgent works such as gas servicing.

• Carry out H&S and fire checks and assessment, liaising closely with others to ensure that follow up actions are completed.

• Report safeguarding concerns as appropriate.

Customer Focused Services

• Promote and support tenants/participants to access PBHA’s participation and co-production opportunities.

• Adhere to lone-working procedures.

• To positively promote and signpost tenants and participants to report complaints in line with PBHA’s practice.

• To have a collaborative and co-operative approach towards resolving complaints, working with colleagues across teams and departments.

• To take collective responsibility for any shortfalls identified through complaints.

• To act within the Professional Standards for engaging with complaints as set by the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Team Responsibilities

• Providing a reception service at the office.

• Involvement in the selection and induction of new workers and volunteers.

• Taking part in planning the team’s work and the annual plan.

• Ensuring that proper records are kept and information is passed to other team members as necessary.

• To ensure that PBHA’s computerised and manual systems are accurately updated specifically in relation to contact with tenants and service users.

• To meet required standards and contract compliance o commissioning bodies where PBHA delivers a service.

General Information

Access Information 

The post is based at our Hubs. The Kingsland Hub site has one level and is accessible to wheelchair users. Clissold and Isledon Hubs have step-only access. The role involves travel within Hackney and Islington and working in tenants’ homes.

Accountability

The post holder is accountable to the Housing Coordinator (Supported Housing).

Main Conditions of Service

This is a part-time position. The post is for 18.75 hours per week. Duties will occasionally be carried out over evenings and some public holidays. Overtime is not paid but in line with Agile working, hours can be averaged out over a 2-week period. PBHA implements Agile working practices which are to be negotiated with the line manager.

Annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year (pro rata) plus normal bank holidays pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays). This will rise after each completed year of service to a maximum of 30 days (pro rata).

Salaries are revised each year. The starting salary for this post will be £30,285 pro rata (SCP 8-12).

The post holder will be auto enrolled to be a member of the organisation's contributory pension scheme if eligible.

In common with all posts at PBHA, confirmation of appointment is subject to a probationary period (6 months).

About IKWRO

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. IKWRO is a registered charity which provides advice and support to Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan women and girls living in the UK, who have experienced, or are at risk of all forms of “honour” based abuse, including; forced marriage, child marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), or domestic abuse.

The Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising and Marketing team and will be responsible for:

• Nurturing relationships with existing and prospective donors

• Sustaining and developing our group of individual and community-based supporters.

About the role

You will provide key inbound referral management and administrative support to the Money & Energy Advisers and within our Patient Support Services team for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living.

To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with people living with kidney disease and affected by kidney disease, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and to facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and to our funders.

Our national work: Through an ‘open source’ online community platform, we provide all the resources necessary to set up a perinatal peer support initiative. Freely sharing all the tools that our local programme (Parents 1st Essex) uses in daily practice, from budget setting to volunteer training guides and impact tracking. Working with commissioners and providers, Parents 1st UK also provides consultancy and workshops to help build new perinatal peer support initiatives in communities.

Our local work: Parents 1st Essex currently operates in South and North Essex, delivering perinatal peer support to parents, through 1-1 or group support. Peer supporters engage and develop trusting relationships with parents during pregnancy, continue support through birth and the first few months afterwards.

Alongside this, Parents 1st UK also leads the Essex Peer to Parent Network, a peer support collaborative that aims to develop a hub of good practice across Essex. The Peer to Parent Network employs 4 Peer Support Link Workers who work alongside the local maternity units in Essex, helping parents to access peer support during pregnancy or anytime during the first year after birth.

The role:

As the CEO of Parents 1st UK, you will play a pivotal role in restructuring the organisation following a merger with an associated charity during 2023. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering unity, creating operational resilience, and guiding the organisation towards sustained success in delivering vital services to parents, families and our partners.

Darlington Mind is looking for a passionate and energetic Marketing and Development Officer to join our team and help take our comms and fundraising to a new level. Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create and curate content for digital marketing campaigns to support the strategic objectives of the Charity.

3. Devise and deliver campaigns that promote and inspire engagement and fundraising support in the community, and generate leads for sponsorship, training delivery, and charity of the year or similar.

5. Prepare press releases and secure media coverage to promote Darlington Mind objectives, policy positions and/or events.

6. Develop and manage a pipeline of events and campaigns for community fundraising, inclusive of events by Darlington Mind and those within the community, and identify prospects for key supporters of those events.

7. Deliver creative communications to generate new leads for donor and commercial income. Identify and build relationships with new prospects for community fundraising; convert fundraising and support leads into effective fundraising activities and events

We're looking for an analytical thinker to join our Facilitation and Planning team as Facilitation and Planning Officer.

You'll work as part of a team who are responsible for planning and scheduling of all events, conferences and one-to-one sessions across our programme suite. We recruit and support expert faculty to ensure our programmes are delivered to the highest quality in order to enrich participant learning.

Your main role will be to work within the Facilitation and Planning team, supporting with the development of our online system to auto-generate events. You'll  be responsible for setting up reporting and monitoring processes to support our optimisation of facilitators, and work closely with other internal programme stakeholders to oversee the creation of new policies and processes such as our Quality Assurance and development offer. 

Please note - this role is internally known as Facilitation and Planning Senior Associate. 

We would like you to:

• Lead on the scheduling process of our programmes, ensuring scheduling aligns with sequencing requirements
• Be the first point of contact for our team of external faculty (facilitators and coaches), supporting general queries and processing invoices. 
• Be responsible for allocating and matching facilitators to events and 1:1 coaching influenced by a set of key criteria
• Communicate and simplify complex data to share with stakeholders and identifying issues and solutions

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Facilitation and Planning Manager.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a excellent communication skills with experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have high attention detail, and thrive and excel with organising, scheduling and planning responsibilities.
 

Whilst experience in other analytical systems would be desirable, it is not a requirement for applying to the role but it is essential that you have an ability to get up to speed quickly and we will provide full training.
