We’re looking for a Supporter Journey Lead to join our Supporter Experience team.
This is a key role in shaping how supporters experience Help for Heroes across different journeys, touchpoints and moments that matter.
You’ll work with teams across Commercial to map, develop and improve supporter engagement journeys, turning strategy, insight and campaign learning into practical plans that strengthen relevance, supporter experience and long-term value.
About the Role
As Supporter Journey lead, you’ll lead the mapping, development and ongoing improvement of supporter engagement journeys across Commercial.
You’ll work with product owners, delivery teams and enabling colleagues to understand current journeys, define target journeys, identify pain points and opportunities, and turn strategy, audience insight and campaign learning into clear, practical plans.
In this role, you will:
- Map and maintain current and target supporter journeys across Commercial, defining key stages, touchpoints, triggers, handoffs and moments that matter.
- Run journey mapping, process discovery and improvement workshops to identify pain points, gaps, opportunities and inconsistencies.
- Work with product owners and relevant teams to define journey requirements for campaigns, communications, process changes, data capture and operational improvements.
- Coordinate with Digital/ESP, data, content, supporter care, fundraising and other teams to make sure journey changes are understood, aligned and deliverable.
- Help ensure audience segmentation is applied meaningfully, so content, asks and next steps are relevant to different supporter groups.
- Use campaign learning, supporter feedback and operational insight to identify where journeys should be adjusted, strengthened or simplified over time.
About You

Do you like bringing people together to map journeys, uncover pain points and turn ideas, insight and learning into practical improvements?
You’ll be confident working across supporter, customer or audience journeys, with a good understanding of how touchpoints, handoffs, segmentation and communications shape experience.
You’ll be comfortable working with product owners and delivery teams to define clear requirements, actions and workplans, while keeping activity aligned, realistic and deliverable.
You’ll also be someone who can use campaign learning, supporter feedback and basic performance information to identify where journeys could be strengthened, simplified or made more relevant.
Essentially, we’re looking for someone who is supporter-focused, organised, collaborative and practical — with the facilitation and relationship-building skills to help teams improve journeys and create better experiences over time.

We are recruiting a fixed-term Policy Campaigns Manager to lead our campaigns function at ARUK. The Policy Campaigns Manager will report to the Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager and have line management responsibilities for the Policy Campaigns Officer.
In this role you will be joining a friendly and fast-moving Policy and Public Affairs team, during an exciting year for dementia research as we campaign on our core mission for a cure. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation to oversee our active campaigns and identify opportunities to mobilise our supporters and drive influence and impact for and with people affected by dementia.
You will lead the development of the campaigns function for ARUK, building on existing initiatives, championing best practice in campaigns and building our reach and engagement. You will also be responsible for working across a range of functions including our policy, research, communications, digital, brand and volunteering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver our live campaigns and marshal our campaigner base to advocate for change in dementia research and for people affected by dementia
· Work with colleagues across research, policy and public affairs teams to develop and deliver our campaigns that mobilise people affected by dementia and our supporters to influence decision makers and change policy and practice
· Work with the policy managers to ensure that our campaigns align with our strategic priorities and theories of change
· Work closely with public affairs colleagues to plan campaign actions that align with key political influencing moments e.g. Budget; Spending Review; King’s speech; General Elections
Develop and deliver our campaign communications to grow the reach, influence and impact of our campaigns
· Lead the development and growth of our campaigner network, building supporter journeys, and producing compelling and creative campaigner communications across email, social media and other channels
· Work with colleagues across CRM and digital to improve data management, delivering regular reporting on campaign actions and use this data to enhance the campaigner experience and empower more people to take action.
· Work with colleagues across the organisation to build campaigning expertise and experience with local ARUK supporters and improve our reach with MPs in their constituencies
Line Manage our Policy Campaigns Officer
· Oversee the work of the policy campaigns officer including setting objectives and providing support to a range of workstreams.
· Consider the learning and development needs of the policy campaigns officer and ensure that they are able to grow and develop in their role.
Involve people affected by dementia in campaigns development and delivery
· Identify campaign champions and storytellers with lived experience who can advocate for change
· Provide training and ongoing support to people with lived experience to empower them to take part in and shape our campaigns
Research, insight and continuous improvement
· Provide expert advice across the charity on campaigning, taking an open, flexible and innovative approach
· Develop mechanisms to keep abreast of best practice in campaigns and any legal or regulatory issues specifically around mental capacity and consent, data protection and lobbying etc
· Continue a campaigning culture across the organisation by being an ambassador for the benefits of campaigning and working with colleagues to showcase the opportunities and impact of our work.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting New Business Development
- Assist in researching and identifying prospective regional, national and international corporate partners aligned with the organisation’s mission and values
- Support the development of tailored proposals, pitches and presentations for potential corporate supporters
- Help prepare outreach materials, including emails, decks, and briefing documents
- Maintain and update prospect pipelines and CRM records
- Attend meetings and events with prospective partners, taking notes and following up on actions
- Work closely with the charity’s rescue and rehoming centres and wider team to identify new corporate funding and partnership opportunities.
Managing Existing Corporate Partnerships
- Provide day-to-day support in the management of existing corporate accounts

- Support the monitoring and reporting of partnership performance and impact
- Attend events linked to corporate supporters to represent the charity, with UK-wide travel sometimes required

Communications & Engagement
- Maintain a strong understanding of World Horse Welfare’s work to ensure relevance in our corporate partnership work
- Develop close working relationships with Communications team and work closely with them on creating and scheduling of agreed corporate content in line with communications schedules.
- Coordinate and deliver partnership communications, including newsletters, updates, impact reports, and social media content
- Lead on gathering content to form the basis of partnership communication obligations
- Work with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging including drafting copy in line with brand messaging, obtaining appropriate images, developing related materials and ensuring approval processes are followed.
- Support the planning and execution of partner engagement activities, campaigns, and events
- Ensure partners receive appropriate recognition and visibility in line with agreements
Sponsorship & Agreement Management
- Assist in drafting and managing sponsorship agreements and partnership contracts
- Track and fulfil contractual benefits (e.g. branding, hospitality, social media, volunteering, speaking opportunities)
- Maintain accurate records of deliverables and ensure all obligations are met
- Support the review and renewal of agreements
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
- Track income, pledges, and invoices
- Support preparation of reports and presentations
- Provide general administrative support to Corporate Fundraising Manager and Director of Fundraising in relation to corporate support

Cardiomyopathy UK is the specialist national charity for people affected by cardiomyopathy, a group of conditions that affect the heart muscle. It can have a devastating impact on the lives of people of all ages and is usually inherited. Our vision is that everyone affected by cardiomyopathy should live a long and fulfilling life.
We are midway through our five-year strategic plan, at a genuinely exciting moment, both for the charity and for cardiomyopathy more broadly. The treatment landscape has been transformed in recent years: approved dedicated therapies are now available, more are in the pipeline, and the first genetic treatments are on the horizon. This is bringing new energy and investment from clinicians, pharmaceutical companies and the research community, creating real opportunities for a charity with the credibility, evidence base and relationships to make the most of them. Our evidence base is stronger than ever: we have completed the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership, surveyed over 1,300 people affected by cardiomyopathy, and published our State of the Nation report. Against a rapidly shifting NHS and policy landscape, we are now reviewing our priorities and sharpening our focus on where we can have the greatest impact.
For the right person, this is an opportunity with real strategic scope. We want to build on our strong policy positions and evidence base and translate them into proactive campaigning and influencing, moving from good policy thinking to concerted public affairs activity, strategic stakeholder engagement, and campaigns that achieve real change. We have a draft theory of change to refine and policy recommendations to turn into action. Our Change Makers volunteer advocacy network is central to this, but needs dedicated leadership to fulfil its potential; rebuilding it is one of the most important early priorities for the post-holder.
Our research programme reflects this momentum. The James Lind Alliance process established the top ten research priorities for cardiomyopathy, giving us a clear, credible basis for directing research attention and resource. We have launched our Catalyst Grants scheme, the charity's first foray into directly funding research, with a second round under way, and want to build on it. That means resourcing the scheme sustainably, deepening engagement with the research community through a growing researcher network, and establishing an annual researchers' event to bring the community together and identify collaboration opportunities. The Director will lead this next phase, working with the Research Manager and our clinical and academic partners to define and deliver our ambitions.
Raising awareness of cardiomyopathy, its signs, symptoms and genetic risk, is equally central to our mission. Too many people are still diagnosed late because neither they nor their GP knew what to look for. We want our communications work to drive this agenda purposefully, drawing on our own evidence about diagnostic delay and unmet need.
We are also looking for someone who can work alongside our fundraising team to sustain and grow this work. Securing dedicated funding for our research grants programme and advocacy work is a real priority, and the changing landscape, with greater pharmaceutical interest in cardiomyopathy than ever, creates new opportunities alongside more traditional trust and grant funding. Experience of developing compelling cases for support, and/or navigating partnerships with commercial organisations in a way that protects the charity's independence, would be a significant asset.
The Director of Research and External Affairs leads the charity's research, policy and advocacy, and communications and marketing functions, with a team of four staff. The post-holder sets the strategic direction of the directorate, drives high-quality delivery, upholds the charity's values, and represents the charity externally across research, policy, clinical and funder networks. The Director is a member of the charity's Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO to steer the charity forward.

About the role

The new role of Deputy Technical Manager will play a critical operational and leadership role within our busy 1,250-seat theatre and additional rehearsal and event spaces. The donor experience & stewardship manager will report to the head of fundraising operations & strategy.
We are seeking a creative and driven donor experience manager to join our team on a permanent basis. MediCinema is a unique national, UK registered charity that improves the wellbeing and enriches the quality of life of NHS patients, their families and carers through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film. We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals and places of care equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities for patients of all ages. Our services help to improve emotional, mental and physical health, reducing isolation, anxiety and stress, and increasing patient resilience to help them cope with what they’re going through.
The Role
We are looking for a fixed-term maternity-cover Deputy Cinema Manager to join the team at our established MediCinema based in Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, serving paediatric patients in the Royal Hospital for Children, and adult patients from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The post-holder will work with the Cinema Manager and the team of nurses and volunteers who support our MediCinema, and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.
We run 4 regular inpatient screenings each week which includes evenings. The post holder will be required to work on a shift pattern to include evenings each week and potentially weekends. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these regular inpatient screenings.
The role offers a unique, exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for someone interested in a service delivery role at the heart of our charity, involving direct contact with the patients and families we support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Support the Cinema Manager in delivering a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings so the role requires regular evening working.
- On screening days be responsible for:
- Marketing the service through the hospital’s wards, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.
- Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.
- Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are always screened to the highest technical standards. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.
- Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly and that, where appropriate, consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.
- Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.
- Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required
- Help the Cinema Manager collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s
- Assist with arranging and running any special events and special screenings
- When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with hospital departments and patient groups.
- Support the development and roll out of any new type of screenings we embark on.
- Support the delivery of our ‘Beyond the Big Screen' bedside services, including our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.
Nurse & Volunteer Management
- Help the Cinema Manager build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include assisting with recruitment and creating monthly rotas.
Marketing and Relationship Management
- Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, building relationships with key hospital staff, and working alongside our partner Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who kindly support our paediatric screenings.
- Help develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community.

The Part-Time Manager for Our Place and Our Voice leads AoD’s work on co-production, peer support, campaigning and community engagement. The postholder ensures Disabled people are actively involved in shaping services, influencing policy and strengthening their voice within the local community and beyond.
The role coordinates peer-led programmes, develops accessible training and events, and builds partnerships that promote inclusion and representation. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, the postholder ensures that AoD’s values of co-production and Disabled leadership are embedded throughout the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead, plan and coordinate AoD’s Our Place and Our Voice programmes, including co-production, peer support and community engagement initiatives.
2. Develop and deliver accessible training, workshops and events that build confidence, skills and leadership among Disabled people.
3. Recruit, supervise and support volunteers, peer facilitators and freelancers to deliver activities safely and effectively.
4. Build and maintain positive partnerships with local authorities, VCSE organisations, health services and community networks to promote the voice of Disabled people.
5. Promote co-production practice across AoD’s services, working with other managers to embed user involvement in service design and review.
6. Ensure all activities are inclusive, accessible and aligned with the Social Model of Disability.
7. Monitor and evaluate project performance, including collecting data, feedback and case studies to evidence impact.
8. Manage budgets within agreed limits and support financial planning and reporting to the Chief Executive.
9. Prepare and submit funding applications and tender bids (in conjunction with the Chief Executive) to support programme sustainability and growth.
10. Ensure compliance with AoD policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety and data protection.
11. Represent AoD positively at external meetings, forums and events, promoting our work and values.
12. Work collaboratively with other AoD departments to promote shared learning and inclusive practice.

Additional Information
- Some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required.
- Travel across Greater London will be required; travel expenses reimbursed according to policy.
- Managers are expected to work on-site for at least four days per week (full-time equivalent); for part-time staff this will be proportionate to their hours.
