Meet your Manager
In this role you will be managed by Cheryl King-McDowall. Cheryl joined ClientEarth from the UK Cabinet Office, where she worked on Government Communication professional standards and major programmes including Covid Communications, UK GREAT Campaign, and the Leadership College for Government. On secondment from the Cabinet Office she led the creation of a new operating model for the House of Commons’ HR function. Prior to this, Cheryl has worked in and led HR, Policy, Communications and Operations, for over 30 years in a variety of organisations including Local Authorities, Charity, NGO, and Higher Education sectors. With a background in occupational and organisational psychology, she specialises in organisational development and effectiveness, change and business improvement.
Main Duties
- Provide strategic HR support and guidance to managers and staff, ensuring policies and procedures are well understood and applied consistently.
- Share best practices and drive consistency in HR practices across global teams.
- Support leadership meetings by delivering insights and assessing People & Culture needs proactively.
- Advise on complex employee relations issues, including performance management, conduct, capability, and grievance handling.
- Oversee our relationship with our Employer of Record (EOR) including, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of payroll processes in line with legal and organisational requirements.

Grove Park Youth Club is an accessible and dedicated space for local children and young people, situated in a remarkable, purpose-built youth club building, constructed in 1966 as part of the Chinbrook Estate development. We are a registered charity (Ref No. 1196106) located on Marvels Lane in Grove Park (SE12 9PR), within the London Borough of Lewisham.
Our mission is to make Grove Park Youth Club a hub for local children and young people to learn, build connections, and explore and develop their interests. We provide a safe and welcoming space where young people can engage in fun and educational activities, sports and cultural activities, build life skills, as well as seek support with the pressures they face in the wider world.
The youth club is managed by a community-led Trust of people connected to the area who led a seven-year campaign to save and reopen the building. We are a small charity that has achieved exceptional success in reopening the youth club and taking control of this purpose-built space. This opportunity offers the right candidate the chance to play a key role in expanding our offer and working closely with the Trust to take our project forward. Accordingly, we offer a competitive rate of pay at £29.37 per hour.
GPYC Studios is our flagship in-house open access youth club launched in 2023, serving local children and young people aged 11–17 (up to 21 with SEND). Its ethos rests upon a creative approach to wellbeing, valuing empathy, acceptance, positivity, and growth. Our programming aims to spark curiosity and nurture self-discovery in a safe and inclusive environment. Through creativity, opportunity, and advocacy, we empower young people to make a positive impact on themselves, their community, and beyond.

Job Role
The GPYC Studios Creative Wellbeing Lead will work in close collaboration with the Trust and report directly to the Chair. This multifaceted role includes responsibilities across team leadership, programme development, outreach and engagement, partnership management, and on-site delivery. In addition to this, the Lead will be expected to fill the role of Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO), for which training can be provided for.
Whilst the role has a considerable administrative element, it is key that the Creative Wellbeing Lead brings a strong sense of creativity, flexibility, and play to the space. Being present and physically facilitating fun and constructive interactions with young people is crucial.
The Creative Wellbeing Lead will be supported by a Creative Wellbeing Assistant (to be recruited in February 2026) in both organising and delivering the programme, alongside two Creative Wellbeing Practitioners who specialise in pastoral care, and a team of sessional youth workers.
This is a part-time position, working 10.5 hours per week at a rate of £29.37. The role includes regular on-site presence during our sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7 hours total). In addition, availability during standard working hours (Monday to Friday) is required to fulfil 3.5 hours of remote work. The role will commence in January 2026.

Salary: £15,422 per annum based on a 50 week year (GPYC is closed for 2 weeks in Dec/Jan)

About the role

The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact
Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.
We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. We are looking for a talented Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records and handle financial operations in the charity.

The Communications Team tells people who Liberty is, what we do and how they can get involved – helping to shape the narrative of the media debate and influence decision makers. This role requires proven experience of line managing colleagues and devising and executing strategic national media and digital comms plans.
Liberty is a small organisation, which punches above its weight. The Media and Communications Manager will combine strong project management and hands-on day-to-day delivery, line managing a team of three in a fast-paced environment which includes a 24-hour press office.
This is an important leadership role. The post-holder will advise senior colleagues, set messaging, lead projects across earned and owned channels, brief and train spokespeople, build and maintain relationships with journalists and other external stakeholders, and draft and edit media materials.
Success will see integrated, collaborative and ambitious project planning to support policy, campaigns and legal cases to engage key audiences with impactful communications and enhance Liberty’s reputation and influence.

IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

Overview of the role
This role is designed to deliver professional and efficient People services across all aspects of the employee journey, supporting managers and the senior leadership teams at London Marathon Events and the London Marathon Foundation. From onboarding through to employee departure, the position ensures every people-related activity is handled with care and precision.
Operating within the People and Culture department, the role maintains the essential People Advisory function, providing expert guidance throughout the employee lifecycle, and in particular on employee relations and compensation and benefits. It is responsible for producing and implementing all necessary documentation, processes, and practices to support the business effectively.
The position works in close partnership with the Talent team for recruitment and learning initiatives, as well as with the Senior People Partner and People Officer. Collaboration with the Workforce team is also key, especially regarding event staffing activities for the LMG Staff.

Key Responsibilities:
People Advice
- Serving as the first point of contact for all people-related queries from managers and employees across LMF and LME, providing timely and accurate advice on organisational policies and procedures.

- Supporting leaders and managers within the allocated business area on workforce planning, organisational design, talent mapping and development, grading and organisational effectiveness, ensuring best practice is embedded in recruitment, staff engagement, and retention.
- Facilitating regular check-ins with LMF leaders to identify workforce challenges, provide guidance on performance management, and help resolve people-related issues swiftly and effectively.

A major part of this role will be managing staff and volunteers to increase their confidence and fruitfulness as they work with children.
