This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is already an experienced Business Development Manager within the charity sector, who has a track record of creating stand out propositions and securing new partnerships.

Please note: This is a fixed term (maternity cover) contract ending mid-October 2027. We would ideally like to have someone in post at the start of August to ensure a smooth handover.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office - currently once a week on a Thursday and may involve occasional travel for meetings and cultivation events. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the Health Team to identify, develop, and propose new initiatives, contributing to Hestia's ambitious growth targets. The role involves bid writing and review support, conducting research into health and business development models, and exploring integrated funding opportunities. The post-holder will also work alongside Operations and HR teams to develop staffing structures, service delivery models, and financial plans, including modelling the impact of TUPE where relevant.

In addition, the Senior Business Development Manager will support the mobilisation of successful tenders, participate in presentations and clarification interviews, and evaluate outcomes to inform future submissions. They will contribute to Hestia's development strategy by identifying new growth opportunities, supporting service redevelopment, and fostering partnerships or consortia as effective delivery methods. • Oversee all of the charity’s collaborative research activity, including PPIE activity.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Proposition Development Manager to join on a permanent contract. The full-time working hours for this role are 35 hours per week, however we are open to receiving applications from people who would like part-time hours with a minimum of 21 hours per week required (0.6 FTE). About the role

As a Regional Corporate Partnership Development Manager, you’ll be a key member of the Corporate Partnership team, playing an essential role in building the capability, confidence and consistency of Fundraising Managers across the UK.

This role is all about empowering others to secure and grow high value corporate partnerships. Drawing on your own experience of winning and managing £50k+ partnerships, you’ll coach Fundraising Managers through the full corporate sales cycle from pipeline development and proposition shaping, to pitching, negotiation, contracting and stewardship.

You’ll design and deliver training, embed best practice processes, and create practical toolkits that strengthen regional corporate fundraising. About the Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and proactive Business Development Manager to develop relationships and opportunities with new clients, drive income generation and to grow the reach of the charity.

This role leads on securing new business opportunities across tenders, grants, consultancy, training, and government contracts, managing the process from initial research through to submission and handover. It focuses on building and maintaining relationships with partners across the public, voluntary, and private sectors, while promoting the NYA’s services and quality framework.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

• Seeking and attracting new opportunities for the NYA to work with public sector, voluntary sector, and private sector partners.
• Identifying and assessing prospects across tenders, grants, commercial proposals and government frameworks/contracts.
• Developing win themes, evidence, pricing assumptions (where applicable) and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to develop bids.
• Managing clarifications, presentations/interviews and negotiation stages with commissioners/funders/clients.
• Keeping pipeline and plans up to date and reporting progress/risks against targets.
• Developing relationships with and maintaining existing relationships with clients and funders.
• Taking bids through to close including final agreements and contract sign off.
• Promoting NYA products, resources, consultancy services and training offer.
• Delivering market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing projects, and identifying new business opportunities.
• Working as part of the wider Business Development Team to achieve income targets
• Working with our youth work specialists and Programmes and Research teams and reporting to the Head of Business Development.

This is a technical role for someone who understands how to create qualifications and assessment products that are compliant, inclusive, fit for purpose and workable in practice.

In this role, you'll lead the development and review of qualifications and apprenticeship assessments, including specifications, assessment strategies, sample assessments and test banks. You'll manage work through development, regulatory submission, implementation and ongoing review, helping to ensure our products meet regulatory requirements and maintain standards for all learners.

We're particularly looking for someone with experience in:

• designing and developing regulated qualifications and EPAs
• working within Ofqual, Skills England and other relevant regulatory frameworks
• embedding accessibility, inclusion and reasonable adjustment considerations into assessment design
• working with providers, funders, regulators and sector partners.
