Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working in a community setting and an understanding of impact and evaluation to take on a key role in the project, involving ongoing interaction with families and professionals.
Job Summary
As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.
You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. The Rose Vouchers Project is an integral part of the wider Family Hub team at 1st Place, so you will be working in a busy environment, with colleagues who are all as committed to providing a friendly service and positive experience for families as you are.

About the role
This is a vital role supporting the Workforce Development team through the effective coordination of activities associated with a number of initiatives carried out within WorldSkills UK, including the completion of an award-winning pilot programme supporting education institutions to mainstream excellence into the delivery of technical education.

Role purpose
The Project Coordinator will proactively support the programming, coordination and management of a number of projects within the WorldSkills UK portfolio, including the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence and Network for Innovation as well as the International Skills Partnership initiatives. The successful applicant will work with the Senior Workforce Development Manager in supporting a team of High-Performance Skills Coaches based across the UK.

Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme coordination:

Where and when do we need you?
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to work within our established finance function. In this role you will be reporting directly into the Finance Director and will play a key part in driving the service improvements and compliance at an operational level. You will operate as a critical member of the organisation through the management of the finance function, effectively leading the management of day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the needs of internal and external stakeholders are met. Successful candidates will be working a 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, you will hybrid work between home and a minimum of 1 day per week at our office at Lakeside in Portsmouth.

Main Purpose:
Working as a specialist practitioner within our Hope intensive support team which is a peripatetic team you will be providing support, multiagency advocacy, case management support and guidance for support workers and clients in our refuges who are multiply disadvantaged and require intensive, well planned and implemented support to recover from the abuse they have experienced, to remain safe from further domestic abuse and to address the additional disadvantages they experience which put their wellbeing and that of their children at further risk. The role includes case management for refuge clients and families who are within the top 20% in terms of vulnerability. This could stem from a multiplicity of intersecting circumstances or being severely vulnerable in one specific area or a mixture of both, bringing expertise in supporting people with mental ill health and you will be a source of ad hoc professional advice for refuge practitioners delivering support to those with mental ill health within the remaining refuge caseload.
