ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

Now Teach is looking for our first Head of Impact as we embark on an exciting new organisational strategy to understand, articulate and maximise our impact. In this pivotal role, you will lead the ongoing development of Now Teach’s monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring we are able to clearly evidence our impact, evaluate and strengthen our approaches, drive continuous improvement and strengthen the case for career changers in teaching. 

We have identified four key areas of impact delivered by our network of Now Teachers and are now in the process of defining overarching organisational impact metrics and building our measurement systems. You will take on this role at a key point in our impact journey, embedding our strategic impact framework and strengthening our internal impact capabilities.  

You will refine and evolve our impact approach to drive continuous improvement across the charity and inform future programme design. Working closely with teams across the organisation, you will help embed a strong culture of learning, reflection and evidence‑led decision‑making. 

This role is a key member of the Now Teach leadership team and plays an integral part in evaluating progress against our strategy, sharing insight and learning with trustees, funders and other stakeholders. 

This is a strategic, hands‑on role, working in partnership with Recruitment, Network, Communications, Philanthropy and wider teams. You will also work closely with the Data Manager to ensure the collection, management and use of high‑quality data that underpins credible and compelling impact evidence. 

In this role you will……  

Impact strategy & measurement 

• You will represent Now Teach externally on impact and evaluation, strengthening our reputation as a credible, evidence-led organisation and building partnerships that enhance our influence and learning across the sector. 

• Lead the further development, ongoing refinement and implementation of the charity’s theory of change

• Design and develop the monitoring and evaluation approach to underpin delivery of our Network Impact Framework 

• Ensure outcomes and indicators align with the charity’s mission, strategic priorities and funder requirements. 

• Work closely with the Data Manager to ensure data collection processes, systems and outputs are robust, consistent and of high quality, ensuring data collection opportunities are maximised 

• Contribute to the development of our surveys, to ensure robust data is captured to evidence and inform strategic priorities against our impact model. 

• Embed impact measurement, insight and learning into organisational planning and decision making. 

• Identify and action external research opportunities and priorities, leading on relationships with external research bodies and managing ongoing research projects 

• Support the development and continuous improvement of data/impact dashboards to share insight and learnings across organisation 

Learning & Continuous Improvement 

• Develop and strengthen our approach to sharing learning internally, ensuring insight is used to drive continuous improvement and great decision making. 

• Strengthen and further develop Now Teach’s monitoring, evaluation and impact systems, ensuring they are proportionate, effective and used in practice. 

• Identify insights and trends that support continuous improvement and work collaboratively across teams to act on learning. 

• Support teams to test, refine and improve approaches based on evidence and evaluation findings. 

• Act as a business partner and internal consultant, supporting teams to interpret data, reflect on findings and apply learning to their work, producing key recommendations for particular teams on an agreed basis and facilitating next steps with relevant Directors. 

Strategic Reporting and Strengthening our case for support 

• Lead on the production of high‑quality impact reporting for a range of stakeholders, including trustees and funders, and responsible for the annual impact report. 

• Work closely with the Philanthropy and Communications teams to ensure impact evidence strengthens Now Teach’s narrative and case for support, and that we fulfil our impact measurement obligations to donors. 

• Contribute to organisational strategy, ensuring impact insight and evidence are central to strategic decisions.

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to expand capacity and play a key role in the next phase of our organisation-wide Salesforce rollout. About the role

We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking a part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in Crisis Skylight London.

You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times.

You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, a Regional Lead Clinical Psychologist and nine Practitioner Psychologists as well as Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.

Started by students and graduates of Oxford University (hence the OK in our name - Oxford Kilburn) The OK Club has been providing activities for children and young people for the past 60 years and we have exciting plans for our next phase of development.

As well as continuing our programme of youth and children’s activities, over the last couple of years we have also expanded our provision to make the club building available to the wider community.  Taking an asset based approach, our Community Animator enabled us to open our doors and connect in a new way with our neighbours.

As CEO you will be responsible for overseeing three key areas -

1. our youth & children’s work,
2. our community engagement, and
3. our building.

Applicants will have proven experience of leadership in a charity or community context.  The ability to work positively with young people is essential, and experience of managing a building and budgets is also important.

Our funding from John Lyon is initially for three years but we anticipate that, with a brilliant new CEO our funding will grow to make the post sustainable.

The OK Club is located in South Kilburn, North West London.  We currently find ourselves in the middle of a building site (quite literally) and that our neighbourhood is changing drastically. Brent Council are continuing their massive regeneration project - demolishing all existing tower blocks and replacing them with new ones, with a greater number of housing units.  While much around us is changing, our desire to support children and young people with play and development opportunities is as strong as ever.

The OK Club currently has:

• A part time Youth Work Development Officer who oversees our youth work programme.

• A part time Building Manager.

• A part time Community Animator.

• A part time Children's Worker.

• Four interns (two full time and two  part time, shared with churches), usually from abroad on gap year schemes.

• Christian Holt House which can accommodate up to five further individuals who live as part of the missional community and are required as part of their tenancy to contribute to Club activities.

• A small but important number of volunteers are recruited from among parents and the community generally.  We are keen to grow this team, particularly with older young people and other members of the local community.

Our site contains the following facilities:

• A sports hall

• 3 x activity spaces

• A kitchen

• Garden

• Two upper floors which are currently rented out to other organisations.

We have been funded by Brent Council to renovate our Sports Hall and have ambitious plans for our whole site development in the coming years.

The work of the OK Club is overseen by a Management Committee (Trustees) who meet every two months, and the post will be Line Managed by one of the Trustees.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, management, quality, security, governance and use of data at Now Teach. They are responsible for ensuring that Now Teach’s data is accurate, integrated between systems, well managed, accessible to support operational reporting, analysis, continuous improvement and strategic decision making.

This is a key role in ensuring we can identify, articulate and measure the impact of our work both internally, and with partners, senior stakeholders and funders as well as supporting our aims of operational efficiency and self-service. The role will continue to develop our data capability as an organisation to evaluate our impact and continually improve our processes.

The Data Manager will be adept at working with multiple stakeholders and helping navigate and simplify processes. They know how to pull information from our reporting systems alongside or combined with other data sources, including national benchmarks, to identify trends and patterns and provide that data to teams in a way that supports great decision making and improvement. They will have a passion for data engineering being hands on as well as being able to identify and implement improvements to drive our data forward. 

In this role you will……  

Data quality & governance 

• Oversee Now Teach’s data systems, fundraising and monitoring and evaluation processes ensuring they are set up for reliable data capture and reporting 

• Work closely with our data system product owners to ensure systems are set up and used to protect confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of data 

• Oversee data pipelines and the data aspects of integrations between our core systems

• Be responsible for data accuracy, integrity, governance and consistency across systems, ensuring high levels of data accuracy, completeness and consistency 

• Responsible for data capture across the organisation – Recruitment, Network, partners and donors 

• Ensure compliance with the UK GDPR and that data is handled securely and ethically 

Date engineering 

• Be responsible for transitioning raw data into clean, structured and reliable datasets that are easy to understand and can be used for informed decision making across the organisation 

• Be responsible for automating the collection of data from multiple systems so it can be reliably analysed 

• Creating datasets and reports that support accountability, learning and improvement 

• Develop our approach to data management and platforms, exploring the use of a medallion based data warehouse 

Reporting, monitoring & impact 

• Produce regular reports for teams, trustees, funders, and regulators. 

• Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities to evidence impact and outcomes. 

• Enable accurate reporting for all teams from all key systems, developing self-service dashboards and reporting to support service improvement and organisational learning. 

• Support analysis and data led strategic decision making by providing and making accessible reliable data 

• Respond to ad‑hoc data and reporting requests, including grant applications and tender submissions. 

• Use internal reporting systems and external data sources, including national benchmarks, to identify trends and patterns, to support data led strategic decision making and organisational learning. 

Systems & improvement 

• Responsible for effective data capture across all new areas of work, working with the Head of Impact, Head of Technology and relevant teams to define and agree data needs and ensure appropriate systems are in place to support high quality data 

• Identifying opportunities to automate, streamline and improve data processes with an organisational ambition for data to be readily accessible for all teams 

• Build meaningful reports and dashboards, working with the Head of Technology and engaging with internal teams required 

• Maintain our data map and other related assets to ensure we have a clear view of what data we capture across the organisation and what we do with it 

• Develop data management and data visualisation guidelines for Now Teach to ensure we have a consistent approach to gathering data 

• Provide training and guidance to all Now Teach staff on data best practice

A defining feature of PLANED is our asset-based approach. We own and manage a growing portfolio of buildings and assets, including our home site, the Old School in Pembrokeshire, which combines our office and conferencing space, with an additional range of tenanted spaces for local businesses.

We also lead the management of the Carmarthenshire Living Well Centre, a multi-use community facility hosting health, well-being, advice and support services. The Living Well Centre brings together a wide range of charities and statutory partners under one roof, creating a genuinely collaborative, free-to-access, local hub supporting 700 clients per month, which is increasingly seen as a model of best practice.

The CEO role is therefore both externally facing and highly hands-on.

About the role

We are seeking a CEO to lead our next exciting chapter. This will include developing a new and updated organisational strategy, continuing to secure sustainable funding, overseeing project delivery and ensuring the organisation remains financially resilient while continuing to grow its impact and influence.

The organisation has a strong, inclusive and supportive culture that is bilingual. The team is community-rooted, collaborative and delivery-focused, with a clear ethos of shared responsibility and mutual support. We have a team of around 18 people, the majority of whom are project funded, supported by a small core team, including the CEO.

The role requires on-site presence; given our reach across West Wales, there is also regular travel required.
