Giant Football Community Walk
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 3 to 5 hours per week
The Giant Football Community Walk is looking for a volunteer Social Media Manager to help promote our 2026 event and engage with football supporters, clubs, foundations and supporter groups across the North West.
The event will bring together supporters from across the football pyramid for a 42km or 21km community walking challenge. Participants will represent their clubs, raise money for good causes and celebrate the positive role football plays within local communities.

As Trustee terms come to an end, we are seeking a number of new Board members. The Vavengers Co-Chair designate
The Vavengers has recently transitioned to a Co-Chair approach to better support our small but dedicated team, and in recognition of the heightened risk of isolation and burnout in small charities. This dual-leadership model allows the Co-Chairs to prioritise staff well-being and offer more robust, active support to The Vavengers staff. Our Co-Chairs and CEOs work as close partners, using frequent, informal check-ins to ensure rapid decision-making and a collaborative culture.
One of our Co-Chairs will step down in the coming months; therefore, The Vavengers is seeking a new Trustee to join the Board and step into the Co-Chair role. A full handover will be provided.
The Co-Chair will:
Co-led the Board of Trustees, planning and chairing meetings, setting agendas and ensuring all trustees contribute to effective and inclusive decision-making
Ensure the Board meets the highest standards of governance and compliance in line with charity law and Charity Commission requirements.
Lead the board in setting the charity’s strategic direction and monitoring implementation of The Vavengers ' 3-year strategic plan, which was launched in July 2025
Support the CEO, acting as a critical friend and leading the CEO’s annual appraisal process.
Oversee Trustee recruitment and ensure Board effectiveness through regular performance review.s
Represent the charity in external forums, as directed by the CEO
The ideal candidate will bring integrity, diplomacy and emotional intelligence to this Co-Chair role. They will have previous Board experience, ideally as a Chair or Vice-Chair and a strong understanding of charity governance and the distinction between governance and operational management. They will have a proven ability to build strong relationships with the CEO, fellow trustees, staff, volunteers and external stakeholders. They should have experience in navigating risk and uncertainty at the organisational and sector level. They must be committed to building an open, collegiate co-leadership relationship with their Co-Chair.
Time commitment: The role involves working with your Co-Chair and CEO to prepare and deliver 4 Board meetings per year, regular check-ins with the CEO, routine check-ins with Trustees, a strong partnership and open communication with your Co-Chair to divide tasks and ensure The Vavengers team is supported. One Board meeting per year will be in person. All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet.
The Vavengers Treasurer
We are seeking a Treasurer to join the Board and oversee financial governance. The Treasurer will:
Provide strategic financial support to the CEO
Establish and chair a new Audit and Risk sub-committee
Monitor financial performance, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance are in place and advising on risk.
The ideal candidate will be a senior finance professional with strong experience in governance, audit and risk. Candidates should be comfortable operating at the Board level, providing constructive challenge and communicating financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues. Knowledge of charity finance and the SORP would be an advantage, but is not essential.
A full handover will be provided by our current Treasurer, who is stepping down in the summer.
Time commitment: The role involves Board meetings 4 times per year, Finance Committee meetings 4 times per year and some ad hoc support between meetings. One Board meeting per year will be in person. All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet.
The Vavengers, Legal Trustee
We are seeking a legal trustee for the Vavengers Board. The legal trustee will already have or will be willing to develop a strong understanding of charity governance and will be eager to grow and amplify the charity’s significant public advocacy work.
The right candidate would bring professional legal experience from one or more areas relevant to our work, which may include human rights, immigration and asylum, media and communication, employment and equality, defamation, risk management, compliance and data protection. Experience in charity law and governance would be an advantage, but is not essential.
A full handover will be provided by our current Legal Trustee, who is stepping down in the summer.
Time commitment: The role involves Board meetings 4 times per year, with additional meetings should the Trustee join one of the charity’s committees. Some ad hoc support may be required between meetings. One Board meeting per year will be in person. All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet.

The Wellbeing Officer (Trustee) provides information, guidance and advice to volunteers and service users around topics such as mental health and wellbeing. Additionally, if service users or volunteers have any concerns, the best point of contact is the wellbeing officer.
What do we specifically expect of this role?
● Delivery of a plan to proactively assist officers and volunteers in public-facing roles, with tools and techniques to prevent or reduce any initial harm/trauma from purposeful or accidental harmful interactions - social media, live events, outreach, panel events, etc.
● Providing support for service users by way of triaging and responding to requests that come through to the wellbeing inbox. ● Building and maintaining wellbeing resources for service users and following a data-informed approach as to areas of wellbeing improvement. This includes building relationships with external service providers that can assist in helping members of our community.
How much commitment is required?
We are flexible around your own schedule. However, the following commitments are in place for all member of the Hidayah board:
● To be able to attend all Trustee meetings and to deliver a comprehensive report to the committee each meeting with updates and to completed actions as and when they appear;
● To aim to attend all other planning meetings as necessary when close to Hidayah events as well as the events themselves (where possible due to geography);
● To help to fundraise for, and advertise, any Hidayah events and fundraising drives;
● To be part of a communications group to keep up to date with Hidayah developments;
● To contribute toward and to maintain the administration of our file sharing system ‘Google Drive’ so it is always up to date with clear records, templates and forms; 1
● To check emails and to respond when needed;
● Enthusiasm, dedication, responsiveness, flexibility and eagerness in supporting the aims, vision and mission of Hidayah;
● To contribute toward the Annual Report once a year;
If taking on the role, you're expected to be in post until the next AGM. This role is subject to a 6 months probationary period.

We’re seeking a volunteer Programme Development Manager to design and build a fitness and wellbeing programme that supports men in boosting their mood, confidence, and overall mindset.

Designing a personal training, fitness, and nutrition-based programme.

Working with the team to shape how the programme is delivered and experienced.
What we’re looking for:
Someone with knowledge or experience in fitness, personal training, or nutrition.

Strong organisational and planning skills.
A creative and proactive approach to programme design.
A genuine passion for helping others grow in confidence and wellbeing.
Formal qualifications are welcome but not essential — what matters most is your ability to design a programme that works and your desire to make a difference.

At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.
We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. Through volunteering as an Emergency Responder, you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering essential first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community and major events in your areas, including at sporting events, concerts, community festivals.
We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. What you can expect from SJA, and what we expect from those who volunteer with us, is included in the volunteer charter.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our medical team at some of the biggest sports' stadia in the country, including major football venues. We are looking for committed candidates who live in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster. By providing medical cover at weekday evening and weekend matches, you will be able to experience both the electric atmosphere of the game and the satisfaction of helping during medical emergencies.

The Wardrobe Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining the chapter's costumes, wigs and props, ensuring they are available, clean and in good condition for events. The role involves keeping accurate records of costume allocation, coordinating costume distribution and returns, and supporting volunteers with costume requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain an inventory of all costumes, wigs and props.
• Keep accurate records of who has borrowed costumes and when they are returned.
• Ensure costumes are clean, well-presented and stored appropriately.
• Monitor costumes for wear and damage and arrange repairs when needed.
• Coordinate costume allocation for upcoming events.
• Update the Wardrobe Database and costume logs on OneDrive.
• Provide monthly updates to the committee regarding wardrobe stock and requirements.
• Work with the Board's Wardrobe Manager regarding costume needs and future purchases.
• Review event photographs and provide guidance on costume presentation where appropriate.
