Role Summary
This role will support the expanding Fundraising & Engagement team with all fundraising activities to ensure that good relationships are maintained with all Alcohol Change UK (ACUK) supporters. The Fundraising and Engagement Assistant will undertake the financial administration and recording of all fundraising income as well as being the first point of contact for the team ensuring ACUK delivers high levels of supporter care.

Salary: Grade E: salary in the range £24,551 to £27,586 (depending on skills, knowledge and experience) plus benefits
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Fundraising
-
Coordinating ACUK’s CRM system (ThankQ) and ensuring data accuracy including:
- New donor details, communications with supporters, gift aid and consent purposes
- Championing data cleansing and monthly de-duping of contacts
-
Coordinating all general fundraising enquiries including phone calls, fundraising & engagement email inboxes (providing holiday cover for the training & consultancy inbox) and post.

Coordinating lead generation from third party challenge event companies and converting leads into participants

Coordinating fundraising resources and merchandise including;
- Sending out materials to supporters
- Compiling fulfilment reports from online shop and sending over to fulfilment agency
- Monitoring stock levels of fundraising materials and shop merchandise

Maintaining up to date filing systems

Supporting with research for Trusts & Foundation applications

Processing all physical (cash and cheques) and online donations received in accordance with ACUK’s cash handling procedures, including;
- Counting and processing cheques/cash
- Logging all donations on a central post sheet
- Processing and reporting on all donations received through the ACUK website and all third-party platforms
- Ensuring all donors are thanked in a timely manner in line with their communication preferences
- Importing all donation data to ThankQ
Engagement programme

Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from our volunteers (Community Champions) and, alongside the Fundraising & Engagement Manager, steward our volunteers including the coordination of volunteer activities.

Identify opportunities for supporters of different types to discover new ways to engage with them (for example helping donors become campaigners or encouraging cultural change activists to become community fundraisers, etc).
Cross-organisational Role

Work closely with colleagues across the charity to support their work and to act as ‘one team’.

Work particularly closely with colleagues in the Communications team, optimising opportunities for joint working.

Contribute actively and positively to charity-wide strategies.
Other Duties

Continually develop your knowledge of alcohol harm and solutions to it.

You are a creative thinker with some great ideas about how to engage communities in the transition to a fossil free future and ensure that no one is left behind.
You are a great advocate and because you believe in community energy are happy to promote our services to other organisations and groups with the aim of increasing the number of residents we can support with energy advice and who are able to engage in the transition to a more sustainable future.
You have a high standard of written and verbal communication skills. You are organised with an attention to detail and respect for the importance of collecting data to enable monitoring and evaluation of the project. You want to improve the events by collecting and listening to feedback and implementing improvements. You value the input of our service users, volunteers and staff team into the design of the events programme.
Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.
- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.
- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.
- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.
- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.
- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.
- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.
- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.
- Create and work to agreed budgets.
- Ensure you are collecting the data needed to monitor and evaluate the project.
- Create inclusivity in the event registration and attendance experience to support people with a variety of needs.
- Ensure events feed into the wider work and services of Energise Sussex Coast.
- Provide event reports to manager detailing the number of attendees, write-up of the event, and feedback.
- Provide general assistance with ESC events and projects as required.
- Adhere to Energise Sussex Coast’s policies around safeguarding, data protection, etc.
- Attend monthly in-person team meetings in Hastings.

Criteria
Essential
1. Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
2. Professional experience or a personal commitment to the pressing importance of the transition to a sustainable, fossil fuel free future
3. 2+ years’ experience organising events - producing compelling event agendas, managing speakers, guests, suppliers and risk assessments.
4. Experience creating your own planning schedules, calendars, and keeping to deadlines.
5. Experience of collecting and analysing event data e.g. feedback forms.
6. Effective administration and organisational skills, with good time management and high attention to detail
7. Experience working in a team for shared objectives and self-motivated to work independently.

8. A qualification in a relevant field: events, marketing or climate/ energy

The role and your key responsibilities
As Marketing Lead, you’ll head up the marketing to our Employer and Higher Education (HE) audiences - from crafting compelling email campaigns to growing our audience on LinkedIn. Employers and HE are our two newest audiences, and you’ll play a key role in driving their increased engagement and growth, ultimately helping us to support as many students as possible to make informed decisions about their next steps.

Work with the Head of Marketing to set the marketing strategy for our employer and HE audiences, including understanding our customer personas, setting objectives, and identifying priorities for the year.

Write engaging event descriptions, create and send promotional comms, and send conversion and follow-up emails.

Provide on-the-day support to the Events team for bigger events, such as our in-person conferences.

Working together
You’ll be working as part of a small marketing team, alongside our: Head of Marketing (your line manager), Marketing Lead for UK and International schools, Events Manager, Events Leads, and Events Assistant. You’ll also be working closely with our Video team to make sure video content aligns with the marketing strategy, as well as our Employer and HE partnerships teams.

The British Association for Holistic Medicine and Health Care (BHMA) is a charity, with a small team, dedicated to promoting holism in healthcare. We are a membership organisation that is 40 years old this year and has produced a respected journal for over 20 years.
Role Overview & Aims
We are looking for someone who will drive the BHMA into a new phase of growth. Someone with passion and dedication who will believe in our purpose and help us achieve this. We want to grow our reach and find new members, journal subscribers and people to enrol on our course. We also want to start producing professional webinars and podcasts in the run up to our conference this Autumn. We would also like to streamline the administrative running of the BHMA to make it more efficient and sustainable, whilst growing our income streams.
How we work
The BHMA operates as a remote team however the hub is in the Bath/Bristol area with our AGM & a conference to be held near Bristol in 2024. We have 2-3 evening Zoom meetings per month and our remote administrator works mornings.
You will work from home using your own computer, however occasional face-to-face meetings would be a bonus.

We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you

Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.

About the role
We’re looking for an engaging, organised, and experienced event manager who is ready to develop their skills by cultivating a broad package of events for people in Wandsworth, organising and engaging across our projects with occasional outreach and online network management.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on internal and external events of a varied nature, perhaps organising a public forum to discuss local health and wellbeing services with Healthwatch Wandsworth, preparing a training programme for local charity fundraising, or preparing an internal all-staff together day.

This is a full-time (Monday - Friday working 9am - 5pm) position and with opportunities for hybrid working with some time each week in our office in central Devizes. You will play an integral role in planning and delivering our flagship annual Night of Light Gala, working closely with our Event Lead and the rest of the Philanthropy Team on this dazzling event. Our Gala raised approximately £300K of vital funds in 2023. You will work with some amazing suppliers, high profile people, volunteers and supporters on this, and other events. You will get to support third-party events, including Golf Days and challenges, and special events like our 8-Hour cycle challenge round Brands Hatch for 20 teams of four in September, as well as any new events for our philanthropists to deliver vital income, and inspire our supporters to grow and repeat their events, each year.
You will also provide essential research and administration support to help prospect and steward incredible high-level supporters and our Fundraising Board of volunteers.

This is an exciting time to join Stoll in this new role in the Fundraising and Communications Team.
The role is full time and offered as hybrid working. It will support community fundraising activities including challenge and sponsored events, organising volunteer fundraising activities and working with local communities to raise funds for Stoll.
