Job description

Call to Action: Become a Clan Councillor on the Lyon’s Council of the Lyonic Scots

Step forward and take your place in a story that began on the fields of Culloden in 1746—where courage, loyalty, and identity were tested, but never extinguished. From those ashes rose a resilient Scots community whose spirit has carried across centuries. Today, we honour that legacy by building something new, something global, something fiercely alive: The Lyonic Scots Clan Society.

We are seeking Clan Councillors—individuals of integrity, passion, and vision—who will serve on the Lyon’s Council, the advisory and leadership body supporting the Clan Chief / Prince of Scots. As a Councillor, you will help guide the direction, values, and future of our society, ensuring that our traditions and aspirations remain strong and meaningful.

As a Clan Councillor, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Clan Chief/Prince of Scots and the Executive Committee

  • Help shape the policies, initiatives, and cultural direction of the Lyonic Scots

  • Represent the voices, needs, and ideas of our global membership

  • Support the preservation of our heritage while helping to build a modern, inclusive clan community

  • Play a key role in ensuring unity, purpose, and continuity across all aspects of clan life

You do not need Scottish ancestry to serve on the Lyon’s Council. What matters is your commitment. Your insight. Your belief in what a modern clan can be: a community rooted in honour, heritage, and shared purpose.

If you feel the pull of something meaningful… If you want to help build a society grounded in unity, culture, and the enduring spirit of the Scots… If you’re ready to take on a role that blends leadership, tradition, and service…

Then the Lyonic Scots are calling for you.

Stand with us. Shape our future. Carry the flame forward.

Become a Clan Councillor. Become a guardian of our direction. Become Lyonic.
