About the role

Reporting in to the Business Development Lead (MCC), the role of Business Development Manager for the LAC region is a key role is being responsible for securing new funding aligned to Christian Aid's strategy and thematic priorities. 

The role will lead business development efforts across the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and expand the Institutional funding portfolio and collaborate closely with and strategically advise MCC Head of Impact and Partnership & Impact Funding (PIF) team and MCC teams to develop donor engagement strategies, build funding pipelines, identify new opportunities, and establish partnerships to grow program portfolios. 

The post-holder will strengthen and maintain relationships with government agencies, multilateral organisations, institutional donors, and foundations, working in coordination with MCC Programme Portfolio and Partnership teams.

Some of the main responsibilities and accountabilities of the role are:

• Meet institutional Christian Aid income targets at the MCC level, actively contributing to PIF overall divisional goals.
• Collaborate closely with Head of Impact and Partnership Business Development teams on strategic funding to secure new and grow existing funding by developing donor engagement strategies, growing funding pipelines, identifying new opportunities and establishing partnerships to grow program portfolios. 
• Build and cultivate strategic partnerships with institutional donors, including government bodies, multilateral agencies, and foundations, to expand funding opportunities across the MCC and beyond, in coordination with the Partnership and Business Development team in PIF.
• Build a wide network of contacts and funding relationships across the MCC region with donors, peers, consortia partners and implementing agencies.
• Develop high-quality funding proposals coordinating with Impact department, partners, donors and the relevant donor audience unit in Partnerships and Impact Funding, ensuring alignment with thematic priorities, signature programmes and donor requirements.
• Work closely with the MCC Contracts and Portfolio Manager to ensure seamless integration with MCC delivery teams.
• Supervise the onboarding of new programs, ensuring seamless integration with MCC delivery teams.
• Work closely with the MCC Contracts and Portfolio Manager to maintain compliance and accountability, reviewing reporting for quality assurance.

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential

• Proven track record in securing multiple multi-million-pound grants for NGOs.
• Substantial experience in building and cultivating strategic donor partnerships including engagement at global, regional and country mission levels with senior stakeholders and demonstrable experience of engaging with private sector, foundations, government and multi-lateral donors.
• Proven track record of developing multi-million pound budgets.
• Advanced knowledge of donor funding landscape and emerging trends.
• Substantial expertise in leading multi-discipline bid teams for grant and commercial agreements.
• Substantial expertise and experience in project design, monitoring and evaluation tools and developing grant budgets.
• Substantial background in humanitarian programming and working with humanitarian donors at UN, bilateral, and NGO levels.
• For LAC roles only, fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and English. 

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Donor certifications and compliance training are desirable qualifications for the role, ensuring a strong understanding of donor requirements and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of donor programming modalities, compliance frameworks, and negotiation processes and experience interpreting. 
• Negotiating grant & contract agreements and substantial understanding of financial controls.
• Demonstrable management experience, including remote management and coaching

The Role

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager the successful candidate will support in the delivery of the Individual Giving strategy, programme and associated campaigns. At Caudwell Children, they empower children to live their best lives. The charity are now entering a new chapter with a transformational 5-year strategy launching in October 2025, and they're looking for a Director of Income Generation who can help the organisation make it a reality.

As new Director of Income Generation, you’ll lead and shape a high performing, multi-disciplinary fundraising team across:

• Grants & Philanthropy
• Events
• Corporate Partnerships
• Community Fundraising
• Individual Giving

With events currently contributing a significant portion of the income, your mission will be to diversify and grow our income portfolio, tapping into new charity, statutory and commercial funding streams, both in the UK and internationally.

As a Director of Income Generation you will be reporting directly to the CEO and work collaboratively across the charity to deliver long term, sustainable growth.

To be successful, you must:

• Demonstrable experience of developing income generation strategies including some streams from scratch. 
• Demonstrable experience of leading across all forms of voluntary income generation and specialism in numerous streams.
• Demonstrable track record for setting and achieving significant income generation targets.
• Demonstrable experience of creating and developing fundraising teams and staffing structures.
• Demonstrable experience in managing relationships with high net worth/high profile individuals and companies. 
• Experience of charity retail is beneficial.
• Experience of operating as part of a senior management team.
• Computer literate, with strong competence in using the mainstream computing packages and products
• Driven, proactive and productive self-starter 
• An enthusiastic, driven and sensitive team member - able to support their peers and encourage others for the benefit of the team
• Well organised – able to prioritise and manage own workload
• Confident, professional and friendly communicator with a hands-on approach

Salary: £80,000 + bonus (DOE)

Location: Hybrid (Staffordshire HQ) around 2 twice a month

Contract: Permanent

As part of this transformation, we’re seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Membership Services Officer to be the first point of contact for our members and supporters, ensuring every interaction is warm, helpful, and leaves people feeling valued.

About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, including proactively reaching out to members to address cancellations, encourage upgrades, or convert cash supporters into ongoing members.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer, Data & CRM Officer, and Gifts in Wills Officer to nurture relationships and move supporters through their journey, ensuring that every member feels appreciated and connected to our mission.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Confident and professional on the phone and in written communication.

• Comfortable with outbound calling — experience in telephone fundraising or supporter upgrade calling is desirable.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology, ideally with some experience using CRMs (Salesforce experience is a bonus).

• Experienced in supporter care, customer service, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).

• Aligned with AWIP’s mission, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and, ideally, a cruelty-free lifestyle.

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Key Details

• Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Salary: £11,885.71 pro-rata (£26,000 FTE)

• Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for a permanent role

• Additional hours: May be available for outbound campaigns, depending on business needs
