About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of admin and support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive administration systems across the events and fundraising team, corresponding with members, Stakeholders, delegates, fundraisers etc, using the CRM database, updating event and fundraising content on the BOA website, and supporting content creation for social media.

About the role
The Head of Income Generation and Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sustainability and social impact of our organisation. This 12-month position—open to both employees and consultants—will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive income generation strategy across our three social businesses: our women’s-only gym and studio, our community café, and our meeting room hire service.

Led by trauma-informed trainers with expertise in women’s health, it offers 29 weekly classes that prioritise confidence, joy, and holistic wellbeing rather than weight loss. The gym embodies our commitment to preventative health and creates an inclusive community where women of all ages and backgrounds can focus on their strength, resilience, and self-care. As a cornerstone of our trading model, it sustains our mission while directly advancing it.
The gym has seen significant growth in both membership and the breadth of its offer, establishing itself as a trusted and empowering space for women’s health and wellbeing. With excellent member retention rates and a strong reputation for inclusivity, safety, and quality, the gym is now well positioned for its next stage of development. The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community
Our café is the social heart of The Bridge — a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space where everyone can connect, share, and feel at home. Serving seasonal, plant-based meals prepared in-house, the café champions women-led enterprises and affordable, healthy food. It hosts many of our wellbeing and creative programmes, and through initiatives like the Pay-What-You-Can Supper Club, supports emerging women chefs and builds everyday acts of care and solidarity. The café has the opportunity to not only advances our mission of improving women’s health and wellbeing but also generates vital trading income and partnership opportunities.
While it currently operates at a deficit, it plays a vital role in advancing our wellbeing and community objectives. We are now focused on realising its full commercial potential. A feasibility study is underway to explore a range of operational and business models that will transition the café into a sustainable, profit-making enterprise. Plans include expanding income-generating opportunities through hosting more events, developing an external catering offer, and maximising use of the space for private hire and functions during weekends. This work will ensure the café continues to embody our values while contributing significantly to the financial sustainability of The Bridge
Room Hire – Spaces that Enable Collaboration and Impact
Our professional meeting and event spaces are used by charities, community groups, and corporate partners for workshops, training, and strategic planning. With over 500 bookings a year and a 89% return rate, these rooms are known for their quality, warmth, and service. The income they generate supports our wider mission, while also acting as a catalyst for new partnerships and collaborations.
We now aim to build on this success by increasing utilisation on our most popular days (Tuesday to Thursday) and attracting new clients to fill capacity on Mondays, Fridays, evenings, and weekends. Plans include developing loyalty packages for regular clients and introducing new offers such as team wellbeing days that align with our health and wellbeing ethos. This approach will not only maximise income potential but also strengthen The Bridge’s role as a space where organisations connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Key responsibilities:
1. Income Generation Strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive income generation strategy for our social businesses (women’s-only gym and studio, café, and meeting room hire).

About the role
This is a key role within the Communications team at RUSI, focused on collaborating with colleagues within the team and across the Institute to ensure all research outputs are effectively promoted across various channels. Key tasks
Providing cover for maternity leave, the role will include, but not be limited to:
- Serve as the primary point of coordination for the Communications team, streamlining communications and lines of effort between research and communications teams.
- Lead the management of the Communications team's forward planner. You'll coordinate with other supporting functions including Publications and Events to proactively capture upcoming content, and ensure this information is shared effectively.
- Lead the development and execution of communications plans for new research reports and activities, overseeing the entire project lifecycle.
- Manage the plans for upcoming publications by collaborating with the Head of Research Governance and Editorial Publications. Proactively schedule meetings with researchers at key points in the publication timeline.
- Oversee the logistical and administrative needs for research communication plans, including calendar management for key personnel, preparing post meeting materials, and overseeing project correspondence to ensure seamless communication.
- Coordinate with the publications team to set strategic release dates for publications, aligning with the institute's overall calendar and major events.
- Manage the publication of web content for various RUSI outputs, primarily podcasts by overseeing updates and maintenance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and optimal performance.
- Support the Marketing Manager in the promotion of events across multiple channels, including drafting and scheduling email campaigns, reminders, and follow-ups, as well as contributing to wider promotional activity.

Essential skills and experience:
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, quickly forming effective relationships with colleagues and other teams. The role requires close coordination with our research, publications and events teams and within the communications function
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, track deadlines and coordinate activity across different teams.
- Ability to take complex topics and be creative in packaging them for different audiences, making them accessible to both experts and non-experts.
- Experience with CRM Systems: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools for managing contact databases and segmenting email audiences.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Direct experience working within a think tank, academic institution, or policy-focused NGO, ideally in a communications capacity, is a significant plus.
- Email Marketing Experience: Practical knowledge of using Email Service Providers (ESPs, e.g.: Mailchimp), for drafting, scheduling, and deploying email newsletters.
- Social media management and analytic tool experience: preferably Sprout.

Job Purpose
- To lead and deliver Butterfly Conservation’s strategic aims for nature recovery in Northern Ireland, maximising our impact for butterflies, moths and people.

Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. About the role
We are looking for someone to manage the fundraising income streams across a broad range of fundraising activities (including challenge, community, and corporates) with the guidance of the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships and in line with our organisational strategy.

About the role
This is a new and exciting role at Shelter, as the post-holder you will have the opportunity to head up a new function which will empower Shelter’s high value fundraisers to deliver transformative partnerships and donor relationships by providing exceptional operational support, donor insight, and high-quality resources. This team will help to build meaningful relationships that motivate supporters, diversifies our audiences, and secures the sustainable income needed to end the housing emergency.
This position is key to support our bold ambitions to grow high value income and provide best in class donor stewardship and experience. You will have the opportunity to shape our High Value Partnerships Operations and Stewardship function, making it your own. It is a very exciting time to be joining us as we launch our new four-year strategic plan.
What to expect
This cross High Value Partnerships team brings together the existing functions Prospect Development and High Value Events alongside the brand-new Information and Assets function. You will be responsible for overseeing these functions and developing the cross-team strategy. There are two excellent senior managers to lean on delivering Prospect Development and HV Events, so it is expected the main focus for the first 6-12 months will be driving the development of Information and Assets.
You will be required to translate organisational priorities into compelling cases for support and donor communications, create and manage funding priorities and funding gaps, improve access to case studies and other storytelling tools, partner with HVP teams to understand their requirement and their prospects and donor’s needs. Your work will be key to creating an inspiring donor experience that clearly demonstrates impact and encourages continued support.
You will champion new ways of working and best practice in high value fundraising operations, working to develop streamlined processes and systems to empower fundraisers with the tools they need to work their portfolios efficiently through the donor journey.
About you
We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual who has a strong understanding of high-value fundraising and a proven track record of leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams, ideally within a high value fundraising environment.
You will need to have the ability to identify fundraising opportunities within complex strategic plans and be able to effectively shape these into compelling presentations for potential funders to drive income.
Being a natural relationship-builder, you will excel at collaborating and influencing teams both within and outside of fundraising to drive success and achieve shared goals.

About the team
The newly formed High Value Operations & Stewardship team will sit in the High Value Partnerships (HVP) sub-directorate which is part of Shelter’s Income Generation directorate. It’s an award-winning team that is responsible for all areas of high value income generation across philanthropy, trusts and foundations, statutory funders, corporate partners and legacies to power Shelter’s fight for home.
Shelter’s High Value Partnerships (HVP) team is an energetic group of around 50 talented professionals who collectively raise over £30 million each year through voluntary and statutory income. By harnessing the support, networks, influence, and expertise of our supporters, the team plays a crucial role in powering our mission to fight for home.
As our portfolio of high-value funders continues to grow—and with ambitious targets ahead—we’re building a dedicated operations function to act as the central hub for knowledge, insight, and coordination within HVP. This new function will lead enabling projects and drive collaboration across Shelter, ensuring our fundraisers have everything they need to secure transformational support.
