About the Role
As a critical member of the strategic leadership team (SLT) for Emmaus UK, the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development will take lead responsibility for ensuring the provision of high-quality support, advice, capacity building and grant-making for federation members in the UK.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of national strategic partnerships and will collaborate with federation members to ensure that federation strategic priorities are delivered and that our colleagues across the federation are able to do their very best work supporting people to overcome homelessness and poverty.
The role will also ensure effective programme and project management of directorate projects and work to embed cross-directorate working and co-operation.

The Salvation Army are partnering with the University of Stirling via the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research to deliver a trial for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This unique and innovative social care trial will examine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a Peer Navigator/peer support intervention for people experiencing homelessness and problems with substance use. We are now looking for a Peer Navigator (lived experience practitioner) within our Homelessness service to deliver a relationship-based intervention to those experiencing drug and alcohol problems and homelessness, providing both practical and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities: The role of Peer Navigator (Lived Experience Practitioner) is fundamental to The Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate. You will also champion excellence in terms of ensuring our clients are central to our services and successful individual outcomes are achieved.
There is a requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of participants/client, due to the nature of this particular role, including the outreach element. The usual pattern of work will be Monday-Friday with hours between 8am-6pm. However, some working outside these hours may be requested, depending on the needs of the people you will be supporting. Work life balance will be taken into consideration and individual needs can be discussed with line managers.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Their own personal (not family related) experience of homelessness and/or problem alcohol/drug use.
- A passion for supporting vulnerable people, with strong previous experience of working successfully in a similar role, and good knowledge of drug and alcohol issues including harm reduction models.
- Genuine compassion and non-judgemental attitude for people in need with challenging lives.
- Knowledge of the main support needs of people experiencing homelessness and other forms of vulnerability, including problem substance use and challenges with the welfare benefit system.

Who are we looking for?

We need someone who can demonstrate the ability to oversee IT needs in conjunction with IT support consultants, and someone who can do board meetings and other administrative tasks, such as preparing agendas and minutes.
You will be experienced in coordinating small-scale events and managing operational logistics, such as venue booking, catering arrangements, and attendee management. EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SLT
Contract: Permanent

We have ambitious goals here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of IT to join us. The RCR is a charity with a focus on supporting doctors who deliver medical imaging and cancer services and we require a passionate and dynamic IT professional to helps us continue making a difference.
As Head of IT, you will lead the strategic planning for the function, playing a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the RCR, leading on all technology related matters across the RCR with the responsibility for ensuring our IT offer remains current, efficient and effective to support our mission and strategic objectives. You will also lead and motivate our reputable high-performing IT team ensuring excellent IT service support to the organisation is a constant.

What you will do:
- Lead the strategic development of the IT function.
- Provide leadership to the IT team, galvanising them around the goals.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our internal IT and systems infrastructure to advise on business needs.
- Lead and develop the RCR’s programme and change boards to maintain effective oversight of changes to IT applications and digital services.
- Ensure the IT team delivers excellent customer service.
- Create and maintain effective IT Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans that ensure the RCR can respond to challenges.
- Develop, agree and manage the IT revenue and capital expenditure budgets.

About the role
Global Canopy is seeking an experienced and effective Operations & Execution Lead at a moment of very rapid growth and ongoing opportunity for the organisation as we implement our 2023-2030 strategy to end market impacts on nature.
You will have a proven track record of effective planning and execution in a relevant organisational setting, and will be able to flourish in a collaborative and dynamic non-profit, working with complex programmes and partnerships worldwide.
Your goal will be to standardise and help embed effective approaches, processes and tools for planning, delivery and monitoring of our work across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, you will work closely with the Programmes Director, People Director, and other senior colleagues to strengthen both organisational culture and practice for efficient, effective and inclusive execution.
Requirement
To be successful in this role, these are the things that will matter the most:
- Deep experience in operationalising and supporting a planning and execution cycle within a complex institutional setting.
- People and communication skills, given how fundamentally this success will depend on effective collaboration with our Programmes Director, Finance & Operations Director and other organisational leaders.
- Broad experience across a wide range of business functions, processes and systems. Commitment to and understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing.
- Strategic mindset, anticipating risks and opportunities, and incorporating them into planning and execution processes accordingly.
Essential behavioural competencies:
- Action-oriented, positive and systematic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Attention to detail alongside the practical mindset required to catalyse effective action. Diplomatic but firm in ensuring uptake of processes and systems.
- Ability to work effectively within an international non-profit setting, working across complex programmes and partnerships and adept at managing change.
- Creative, flexible and inclusive approach, able to find solutions to new challenges in the context of organisational innovation and growth.
- High emotional intelligence, with a coaching and mentoring-based approach to management.
