The Executive Assistant to the CEO will be joining a central services team in a crucial role.  The post holder will provide comprehensive support and ensure the smooth running of the executive office.

Excellent project management and organisational skills is a must, along with good understanding of Microsoft office applications and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 9:00-17:00, Monday to Friday with some flexibility required.  The role will be based on site 5 days per week.

Key responsibilities: 

• Coordinate the CEO's complex schedule
• Prepare agendas and take accurate minutes for Board, committee, and senior leadership meetings along with other grouping as necessary
• To organise all business travel arrangements for the CEO (and SLT members, where requested by the CEO)
•  Act as the first point of contact for the CEO with internal and external stakeholders.
• Draft, prepare, and handle correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents, maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Manage confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity
• Undertake research and prepare briefing materials for strategic initiatives
• Support the CEO in planning and delivering organisational events (AGM, VIP visits, project launches and training events)
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of our annual programme of Community Fundraising and Challenge Events
• Develop links with corporate businesses

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps babies, children and young people who are seriously unwell, and their families, make the most of every day. The charity aspires to become a centre of clinical excellence for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

We’ve been on a major upward trajectory in recent years, with more children being supported, more major hospitals being partnered with and more supporters donating. We’ve transformed from being an enthusiastic start-up delivering care in the community, to a serious player delivering major impact both in the community and at our state-of-the-art hospice building, The Ark, opened in 2019.

Philanthropy, which covers Grants, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donor fundraising streams, is pivotal to Noah’s Ark, typically accounting for around 50% of the charity’s voluntary income. This is an area of real expertise for Noah’s Ark, with much scope for further refining. The successful candidate will therefore enjoy opportunities to manage and add to an exciting portfolio and gain further training and support, working as part of a high-performing and super supportive team, ready for its next exciting growth phase.

The Philanthropy Officer will work closely with and report to the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager and Head of Philanthropy to develop the Trust and Major Donor pipelines, along with instrumental cross-team work on applications and reporting processes for other income streams. Whilst we work towards developing a more diverse funding model and navigate changes to the external Trust and HNWI environments, sustaining and growing income from both of these income steams will remain vital.

The post-holder will be key in taking the Trust and Major Donor programmes to the next level, securing new grants, building relationships, increasing multi-year gifts and improving both quality and volume of applications. They will also support the Grants, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the wider team, to the same end with their respective portfolios.

At this stage in your career, we would not necessarily expect you to have direct experience of fundraising from Trusts or Major Donors. This is a strategic leadership role dedicated to amplifying survivor voices and driving systemic change across the Alliance Partnership and the wider VAWG sector.

The Survivor Movement & Participation Lead (SMPL) will champion survivor leadership by embedding accountability, fostering peer-led services, and building a strong, intersectional movement to end violence against women and girls. The role leads the Experts with Lived Experience (ELE) network, develops survivor-led spaces and leadership pathways, and embeds survivor influence within governance and decision-making. The SMPL will represent survivors and the Alliance in national forums, coalitions and sector discussions, ensuring survivor participation shapes strategies, policy and practice.

Job description 

As the SMPL, you will:

• Lead and coordinate the Experts with Lived Experience (ELE) network, ensuring survivors are supported, resourced and fairly compensated, and design and facilitate survivor-led and peer support spaces grounded in trauma-informed, anti-racist and culturally rooted practice.

• Build survivor leadership through training, mentoring and development opportunities, and embed safeguarding, boundaries, confidentiality and collective care across all survivor involvement.

• Strengthen survivor leadership within VAWG and wider justice movements through campaigns, activism and public engagement, and support cross-movement alliances with LGBTQ+, disability and other justice communities.

• Facilitate survivor participation in governance structures, promote ethical and power-sharing frameworks, represent survivor-led practice in strategic forums and partnerships, and contribute to tools, learning and resources that assess and promote survivor influence.

The role

About the Service

The aim of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.

About the role

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• Provide support and advocacy services to clients experiencing domestic abuse
• Ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
• Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• Maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
• Support the team with case management and volume of referrals to ensure a short waiting time and referrals are contacted promptly and assessed appropriately.
• Collate and obtain feedback regarding the effectiveness of the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the wellbeing of clients who are affected by domestic abuse.
• Contribute to a reduction in repeat victimisation
• Reduce the number of victims withdrawals of witness statements
• Be aware of the impact on children of domestic abuse and make referrals to appropriate agencies to support the children where necessary.

The Violence Intervention Project (V.I.P) is a young Charity (founded in 2017), pioneering new approaches to working with young people (YP) involved in serious youth violence (SYV). Job Purpose: The Family Outreach worker plays a vital role in supporting the families of clients to enhance their stability, wellbeing, and access to essential services. Across all three sites, we support residents to develop the skills needed for independent living. This includes managing finances and budgeting, building life and work skills, and maintaining personal self-care.

Our staff take a trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, supporting residents to build essential life skills, identify personal goals, and work towards their aspirations so they can move on to independent and fulfilling futures. Our dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers, and Bank Workers provide personalised guidance, practical assistance, and signposting in key areas including housing, budgeting, daily living skills, employment, and healthy relationship building.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at Eastbourne Foyer, with the expectation of working from our other sites in Hailsham when required. You will hold a caseload of residents and carry out regular key work sessions with them each week. Through these sessions, you will work together to develop personalised support plans, track progress, and help residents achieve their goals.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

General:

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of good safeguarding procedures in relation to young people and the ability to maintain effective professional boundaries

• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately

Working in partnership with local churches, this pioneering pilot programme not only addresses the underlying issues children are facing, but also offers vital support to parents, carers and school staff.

As the TLG Therapeutic Hub Counsellor, you will deliver specialist trauma-aware care through 1:1 counselling and group interventions for pupils. Working closely with a Family Champion from the partnering church, you will also lead Reflective Care groups for parents/carers and staff, promoting wellbeing and fostering wrap-around care for each young person supported through the hub. High standards of safeguarding and accurate record-keeping will be central to your work, and through regular collaboration with the pilot team, you will help to shape and refine this exciting new initiative.

We are looking for a Level 4 qualified Counsellor or Therapist who thrives in a school setting and is passionate about bringing fullness of life for young people and families, helping them overcome the challenges they face. You will be confident in building strong relationships and working collaboratively to design a weekly programme that meets both client and school needs. Creativity is highly valued, and we welcome applicants with creative specialisms that are particularly effective for engaging young people.

To be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of The Mix’s online communities, establishing a fun, inclusive and supportive space for young people

Key Responsibilities 
Community engagement and development

• Deliver the day-to-day activities on The Mix’s online community including supporting young volunteers, creating, and scheduling content, moderation, facilitating peer support and responding to direct messages across all platforms
• Supervise and moderate community events such as group chats, live Q&As and Youth  Voice activities
• Ensure a positive culture of peer support is embedded within the community through thoughtful content planning, conflict resolution and volunteer empowerment
• Work collaboratively with our content team and partner organisations to deliver a high-quality service
• To be focused on the continuous development of The Mix’s community by attending training events, being aware of best practice within the sector and cascading learning to staff, volunteers and community members
• To involve community members in the design and evaluation of the community and using this to adapt and amend practices to deliver the best community experience for all
• To be first point of contact for both community members and volunteers, including oversight of direct messages, community inboxes and moderator check-in spaces

Essential Criteria
