The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a proactive and organised Finance Officer to join our Finance team. The Finance team plays a vital role in supporting the College’s mission by delivering an effective, integrated and customer-focused finance service. As Finance Officer, you will support the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations, working closely with colleagues across the College and helping to maintain accurate financial records and processes.

This role would suit someone who is highly numerate, organised and customer-focused, with experience in finance administration or ledger work. Previous accounting qualifications are not essential, but a good understanding of finance processes and strong attention to detail are important.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing finance-related enquiries through Topdesk and shared inboxes
• Supporting colleagues with expense claims, sales orders and purchase orders
• Assisting with sales and purchase ledger processes, including supplier and customer set-up
• Processing invoices, credit notes and financial transactions accurately and efficiently
• Posting direct debit payments, supplier payments and customer receipts to the ledger
• Supporting reconciliation of customer and supplier statements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting monthly management accounts processes
• Carrying out weekly bank reconciliations
• Supporting the year-end audit process and responding to auditor queries
• Assisting with ad hoc finance and system-related projects as required

Essential skills and experience include:

• Experience working within a sales and purchase ledger function
• Good understanding of basic accounting and financial principles
• Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

This is an exciting opportunity to support the financial operations of an organisation dedicated to improving child health across the UK and globally.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting financial accounting, payroll, treasury, taxation and compliance activities across the College and its subsidiary entities. You will help ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, support statutory reporting and audits, and contribute to continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.

This role would suit a part-qualified accountant looking to further develop their experience within a not-for-profit or public sector environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting key accounting processes and ensuring timely reconciliation of financial ledgers

Our client is a Christian charity who have been delivering support for vulnerable people since 1920. They provide specialist housing for women and young people experiencing homelessness, alongside residential care for older people, across the South and South West of England. They are now seeking an experienced Supported Housing Manager to oversee their small, specialist women’s homelessness service in Reigate (19 beds/medium-needs). As Supported Housing Manager, you will support a small team of frontline staff in providing a high quality housing support service for vulnerable women. You will lead on ensuring that the project provides safe, trauma-informed, person-centred accommodation, overseeing the performance of the team, and ensuring quality assurance checks are completed and that improvements are identified and actioned. You will have responsibility for the oversight of all building maintenance and health and safety and will ensure that the service meets all regulatory and best practice requirements.

• Support high-priority campaigns, special initiatives, and fundraising events. Attend school and Advancement-hosted events to build community presence

• Work alongside Development colleagues and volunteers to deliver high-touch stewardship and impactful gift reporting

Essential qualifications/experience:

• Substantive progressive frontline fundraising experience with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure gifts

• Building and developing effective relationships

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, highly organized and a problem-solver, positive and friendly, strong people management and interpersonal skills

• High emotional intelligence, attentive listening, and the ability to build credibility with major prospect stakeholders

• Willingness to travel internationally and attend events outside of School hours and on weekends

• A steadfast commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children

Desirable qualifications/experience:

• Advanced degree preferred

• Knowledge proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge

• Knowledge and understanding of American and/or international educational institutions

• Embraces continuous learning and collaborative problem-solving contributes creativity, initiative, and teamwork to a mission-aligned development culture

• Experience training or managing fundraising volunteers and committees

At Diabetes UK, everything we do is about improving the lives of people affected by diabetes. But we know that to do our best work externally, we need to pay just as much attention to how we support, develop and engage our people internally.

That’s where this role comes in. We’re looking for a Senior Learning & Development (L&D) Advisor to join our Learning and Engagement team on a maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced L&D professional who loves designing great learning experiences, partnering with managers, and helping organisations live their values through meaningful development.

This is a hands-on, influential role sitting in our Learning and Engagement team within the People and Organisational Development Directorate. You’ll work with colleagues across the charity to shape learning at both an individual and organisational level.

You’ll design and deliver engaging learning experiences (online and in person), support managers and leaders through coaching and action learning, and project manage organisation-wide learning and culture initiatives. You’ll also play a key role in embedding our Values and Behaviours framework, ensuring it’s actively used, not just talked about.

A big part of the role is working collaboratively with HR colleagues, internal stakeholders, coaches and facilitators, to identify needs, design the right solutions, and make sure learning activity has real impact.

You’ll be an experienced L&D professional who enjoys both strategic thinking and practical delivery who can confidently design and deliver engaging, inclusive learning across leadership, management and personal development. You’re comfortable facilitating groups, influencing stakeholders, and juggling multiple projects without losing sight of people’s individual needs. You’ll also recognise yourself in our values: putting people first, keeping things simple, making change happen and being driven to know more.

This is an exciting role in a team dedicated to raising the bar of operational excellence at Stewardship. You will play a crucial role in bringing exceptional operational efficiency across various Stewardship platforms, enhancing customer satisfaction by providing Stewardship givers and partners with seamless, impactful services that bring our mission to life.

Through vital processes, checks and administration, you will be serving generous Christian givers and the highly impactful churches, mission workers and charities which they support. Your work will equip, encourage and support our givers and ministry partners to become faithful, active stewards – transforming hearts and helping hands to steward responsibly and faithfully all that they give and receive.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
