The role of a Therapeutic Community Caseworker at the Baobab Centre is to support unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee adolescents and young adults to access care, basic rights and entitlements and to support their social development and rehabilitation.This role involves working closely with the clinical key worker of each young person and with our wider multidisciplinary team. It is critical that as a Caseworker: 

• you have an insight to the backgrounds and experiences of both the internal and external factors impacting on the lives of unaccompanied young people attending our centre and an understanding of the broader context in our society as it impacts on young asylum seekers (including invisibility, marginalisation, discrimination and the fact of waiting in uncertainty for a long time.

• You have an insight in how trauma and the many human rights violations and persecution that most members of our community have experienced impact on all aspects of a young person’s internal and external world. 

• You have an insight in how current immigration rules and social care system procedures act as barriers to rehabilitation, including by restricting access to education, adequate benefits, housing and healthcare provision.

Purpose of the role and Reporting Lines

The Communications Officer will report to the Communications and Digital Manager. The role works closely with our Project Managers, and technical project leads. The Communications Officer will facilitate effective and engaging communications across the organisation (internal and external) with particular emphasis on enabling effective communication of our project’s work/outputs, demonstrating impact, and enhancing dissemination to a wider and more diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

We want to develop the youth leadership and training abilities of adult volunteers whilst also helping young people to access cadet activities through fundraising, grant-making, developing new resources and direct support.

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Campaign Coordinator to help deliver this national campaign across research, advocacy, fundraising, events and communications. As Campaign Coordinator, you will ensure the smooth coordination and delivery of the campaign’s key milestones throughout the year. You will manage timelines, coordinate campaign activity, and liaise with and report to stakeholders as needed. Integrating into the team at pace, you will take the lead on key milestones, working closely with internal and external partners to deliver the campaign on time, on budget and to a high standard. The salary for this position is £28,378.38 per year for 30 hours per week, working remotely with some travel across the UK (NB this role requires candidates to be based in the UK due to the location of event activity and in person event support). Reporting to the Director of Ministry and People, the Head of People will lead the delivery of an inclusive People and HR service that supports the Diocese in fulfilling its mission through effective people practices. 

Working closely with the Head of Vocations and Formation, the Head of People will provide professional leadership across employment, organisational development and workforce support for diocesan employees, while ensuring effective and appropriate advice and support is given to clergy, volunteers and parishes, recognising the differing legal, canonical and governance arrangements that apply across each setting.

Working collaboratively with ministry colleagues, Bishops and Archdeacons as well as senior leaders within the Diocesan Board of Finance, the successful candiate will strongly contribute to the wellbeing, development and effectiveness of all those who serve the Diocese of Salisbury.

We are seeking a confident, experienced and motivated Fundraising Manager to join our team! 

Our Organisation 

SLRA is a frontline community organisation established in 1991 which supports refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in crisis in South London. We provide specialist legal advice and holistic casework to enable people to regularise their immigration status, access rights and entitlements and move on from destitution. Every year we provide support directly to over 1000 migrants in the London Boroughs of Lambeth, Merton, Croydon, Wandsworth, Southwark and beyond. Our support gives marginalised people access to justice and the opportunity to build a safe, stable and positive future. 

The Role 

This is a key role in ensuring that we continue to secure the resources we need to provide our vital services and activities for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants in South London. As Fundraising Manager for SLRA, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our fundraising strategy, building relationships with donors and exceeding fundraising goals. We are predominantly funded by Trusts and Foundations and you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding this funder base, while helping to diversify our income streams in order to ensure that established services and activities are sustained. 

If you have substantial experience of building relationships and securing funds from Trusts and Foundations, and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by small, local voluntary organisations we would love to hear from you!
