This is an exciting maternity cover role in the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK (ACCT UK) for a proactive, eagee to learn individual to work within our Cadet Activity team to aid in the administration of our nationally run activities.
We are looking for someone to provide administrative support to the functional delivery areas of the syllabus. This post is primarily to support DofE and First Aid but may, where required, be surged to cover short term administrative responsibilities for other activity areas.

The Role

2. Interfaith Projects
– Execute and enhance our newly drafted Interfaith strategy, which focuses on education and awareness, grassroots initiatives, celebratory events and representation in the broader community;

– Work collaboratively with the community team and with the trustee responsible for Interfaith.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and working with colleagues worldwide, the Head of Major Gifts will lead the organisation’s major gifts programme, taking responsibility for both strategic development and frontline fundraising. The Head of Major Gifts will build pipeline, create new opportunities, strengthen fundraising discipline and embed a proactive new-business culture across the major gifts function. Seeking to grow and develop this area, the Head of Major Gifts will play both an operational and strategic role – personally winning and managing relationships at the £250k+ level, as well as developing the team and the strategy. The role:
This role involves one to one support for unpaid Carers of people with dementia, providing information, guidance, and advocacy, developing, and delivering dementia training for Carers and facilitating peer support groups. This role also includes coordinating and delivering a monthly Dementia Cafe for people with dementia and their Carers, including supervision of the Cafe volunteers and sessional workers, as well as supervising a Carers Support and Development Worker.
Skills and experience:
The successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and communication skills, be confident delivering training and outreach. They will be able to manage conflicting demands with tight deadlines, be a key team player and committed to working with Carers and volunteers.

You will be comfortable using data, insight and evidence to drive decision-making and have a track record of stakeholder engagement and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
You will also bring experience of impact measurement, evaluation, quality assurance or performance frameworks, with the ability to use evidence to demonstrate value and improve services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and work across organisational boundaries.
