We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Residential Assistant Manager to help deliver high-quality, person-centred support while assisting with the day-to-day leadership of the service. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will support the smooth running of the home, maintain high standards of care, safety and compliance, and act as a positive role model for the team.
The role includes leading and mentoring staff, supporting rota management and administrative tasks, contributing to audits and quality monitoring and ensuring care plans, risk assessments and records are accurate and up to date. You will promote best practice in safeguarding, support compliance with CQC and relevant legislation and help develop a skilled and confident team through training and guidance.
You will work closely with families and professionals to support people’s health, wellbeing and independence, while responding calmly and effectively in a range of situations. The role may include supporting people in the community, undertaking clinical duties once trained and assisting with transport where required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager with excellent organisational
skills to develop, implement and manage effective communication strategies for a charity based in the
healthcare sector, with a national and local reach across the UK and Ireland.
You’ll have demonstrable experience in planning and implementing different communications strategies
across a range of marketing channels to help us grow our organisational profile, uphold our vision
and values, while extending our reach across the sector to support growth and awareness among the
community we support.
As part of the daily management of the charity’s communications and marketing needs, you’ll work with colleagues and volunteers to raise awareness maximise awareness of our support model, support the organisation through attendance of national and local events and be part of a team representing the charity at key exhibitions during the year requiring you to be away overnight for up to 3 or 4 nights at a time (depending upon location) – approximately 3-4 times per year. Further information will be available to candidates taken forward for interview.
You will be integral to our communications and marketing approach, collaborating with colleagues who manage our social media and published communications (e.g. member magazine). Above all you are someone who fosters an organisation wide approach working with, mentoring and supporting colleagues to ensure a planned, structured and collaborative approach to our communications and marketing planning.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in managing communications, producing effective content and campaigns across a range of channels (print, digital, online) for at least TWO years, ideally bringing additional experience from within the charity sector.
The role is primarily remote and the successful applicant can work from a location of their choice (subject to representing the charity at key meetings, internal meetings and exhibitions throughout the year). The role holder will make optimum use of video conferencing and online collaboration tools to work as part of a wider communications team so the team feels connected and engaged in its approach.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading physics and materials science environment at the forefront of nanotechnology and advanced materials research. Based in central London, you will combine technical leadership with hands-on responsibility for a specialist nanofabrication cleanroom facility, supporting pioneering research through the operation, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge fabrication and characterisation technologies.
As Technical Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of a combined ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanroom facility, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of research activities. You will manage facility scheduling, equipment utilisation, maintenance programmes, service contracts, and the procurement of consumables, gases, and chemicals. Working closely with academic staff, researchers, PhD students, and external collaborators, you will provide expert support in nanofabrication techniques and process development, helping users achieve their research objectives. The role also includes responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting specialist equipment, including atomic layer deposition (ALD), magnetron sputtering, and thermal evaporation systems, developing training programmes, managing health and safety compliance, preparing risk assessments and SOPs, and ensuring the facility remains at the highest operational standards.
We are seeking a nanofabrication specialist with substantial experience working within a cleanroom environment and a strong understanding of thin-film deposition technologies. You will possess expertise in techniques such as physical vapour deposition, atomic layer deposition, sputtering, or related fabrication methods, alongside experience supporting research, developing processes, and maintaining complex scientific equipment. You will be a confident communicator, capable of training and supporting users from a wide range of scientific backgrounds, and will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy research environment. A degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline is essential, while a postgraduate qualification, experience with thin-film characterisation techniques, professional accreditation, or formal health and safety training would be advantageous.
